Inez, you are killing me! Can I come and visit if I promise to dust and polish anything you need? These last threee colored china sets are so great. The plain little yellow set is like one I posted way down in the 60's somewhere, not one I have now. All I knew was that it was English.

Inez, we were having so many spam posts each day that we had to require a sign in to post on the main page now. You only have to make up a password for it, no other registration required. Love your sets and your knowledge about them.

About that oval block salt...if it isn't McKee it doesn't matter. We just need some pictures of it when you get a chance. No one here has one but it is the one pictured in H&J except yours has ruby stain.

Lynda, my little souvenir set is way down at #60, and it has the emblem Bear with the Ragged Staff, motif of the Earl of Warwick. I was in Warwick, England several times but have no idea where I got this little set. Mine isn't very well made, one of the parts sets slightly askew in its holder. I think they were pretty cheap like many souvenirs.

All of you and your sets just amaze me. These are beyond beautiful. I'm a glass girl but will have to admit these condiment china sets thrill me. I don't have any of the large sets but am in love with the glass holders. All my sets are tiny with an open salt. I'll find the box someday. Here is the picture of the little English or German souvenir. There should be different names for these pieces. The all in one are very different than the sets that can be pulled apart.

The Carlton Ware set is lovely, Inez. Thanks for the Belmont #103 drawing. On the chat page, Debi gave me the Belmont name which let me find mine on catalog pages. The unknown named one is a bit different in stand and bottles, as is McKee Champion. PJ's set looks like Belmont #103 if I'm seeing it right. PJ, descriptions I've seen call the top of the center post a toothpick holder though it could be used to hold a candle I suppose. It's deep enough to be a toothpick holder.

Debi: H&J 2717 is the McKee BLOCK pattern oval salt that no one seems to have. Can you please do a few pics of your ruby stained one when you get a chance? We are missing the measurements too. Thanks. I have no books here is there a post # I can see an example in? Is it #33? Not McKee. When I bought it I thought it was. The photos I have with me don't have measurements on them. But I can look later this week.

For some reason I can't post to the original page, but can post here. Lynda LaLonde, I am so sorry to see all the broken salts. We have had some near misses, and have put lengths of PVC pipe along each shelf in case it starts to fail. Someone else was saying they slipped metal sleeves along the glass. I don't know how to do that. PJ I am so glad to see you! We have been away, to the beach, but will be returning home next week. I don't have much in the way of condiment set photos with me. This one is unmarked, but from the UK or Europe.

Right you are, Debi. I got confused on one page, reading the number below a picture rather than the one above. Belmont 104 has the beautiful arched center handle. I had one of those and broke it. I kept the arch with its two posts because it's so lovely.

P.J., I LOVE your #120, I think it's my FAVORITE of all the ones shown! It's as close as I could come to having a set in in Chocolate Glass(which I LOVE!)

Nancy V, So sorry I messed up the number on your Belmont set but glad you found it. Not a typist, never was, never will be.

Mary, I don't think I've ever seen a Wetzel mini hen before. The mark shows up fine. That salt with the bad rim might have been mine at one time. I had the set and sold it because I didn't like the bad rim. Long time ago.

Found it, Debi, Belmont #103 not #130. Shown in a picture of three different color combo, the blue center post shown with three clear Daisy and Button bottles. I wish I had the colored bottles, some sets shown with clear, blue, and amber colored bottles. I just purchased two more clear pieces, the cruet with stopper and a mustard bottle. It's nice to get an old piece put back together. Of course, it's not with a salt so very off-topic here.

I went to it and saw I have to select an area, so it may take me a while, but I'm excited to find my set with the blue post.

Most are crystal...sorry if this doesn't "push your buttons"... I love them !!! These are known as carrousel condiment sets because the three "cups" are sitting in a ring that can "spin" around the center post... the three "cups" would normally hold salt, pepper, and mustard/mayo/or other type condiment...could even be a dry type condiment...

Nancy V: I just looked up condiment sets in the EAPGS data base. Your holder with the blue TP and clear base is shown as BELMONT NO. 130 by Belmont Glass Works. They were in business from 1866-1890. It was later made by Elson Glass. The Data base is free for anyone to use. Here's a link for those who would like to save it to their bookmarks. http://www.eapgs.org/patterns/

I finally found two sets on eBay with the glass stand. This one is listed as Daisy & Button, which the bottles clearly are. The stand however looks like a completely different pattern. It's the same stand as I've always seen with the D&B bottles, so maybe the stand was made and the easily available D&B bottles paired with it. The glass on this one looks yellow in all the photos, and I've written to ask the seller about that. I've never seen it except with clear glass, the exception being my blue toothpick handle.

Just got a reply from the seller, and sure enough the glass is clear. All photos are this pretty yellow. No mention of color or lack of it in the description. I suggested one might be added.

Inez, if you come by I'd like any information you have about the stand.
