Debi, Here's three more examples of 2932. I sold all of these years ago, but I finally got a chance to go through some old pictures and found them. I also sold a blue version that I may still run across as I go through more.
First one is similar to the one you used from Lyleann's collection.

Lynda, I didn't think you sounded any way. Just wanted to explain why I don't go into great detail on every description. The longer something is, the less it will all be read. Just trying to keep it simple yet complete. If you do see any errors, even spelling, please do let me know about it. I look at every page after I post it, but I know I could miss something.

Debi, The job you do is pretty beyond fantastic. How you've accomplished what you have is beyond me. I putter thru the pages just looking and enjoying. Sometimes things click. Most times not. Lolololololol. But as I look thru your pages, I sometimes think..... wait, I have that and I go looking. I would never criticize or even think anything negative because this H/J project is beyond an amazing undertaking. I will try to be of any help I can. And hope you know my goal is to just help. I know I am sometimes a PIA. but I have good intentions. Forgive me if I sounded ??? ... I don't know how I sounded.

Judy, I went to bed right after I wrote that. If I'm not tired I don't go to bed because I'll just toss and turn and get back up anyway. I forgot the milk glass OCTAGON was pictured too. That's another H&J number I need to add to the info pages. Always something to be added or changed. But I'm taking today off. I'll get these other pages added soon.
Lynda, I try to be as concise as possible on the notes on the info pages. If I write a paragraph no one will read it. Then there's the issue with space on some pages too. I started adding the H&J numbers of other salts that are the same but maybe different colors when I was re-doing the font on pages. But I'm sure I'm missing some of those too.

I'm sorry to confuse Debi. #389 is on the purple page. And you did say pressed on the page. I often go strolling thru your pages just for the fun of it. Opened #389 and realized I had a number of that salt in different colors. There is a cut one similar so I wanted you to know these were pressed. I also mentally pictured the blue as the post's salt.... my brain does weird stuff. I have the purple but mine seems lighter. Will post. In checking that purple page, many have been sun purpled. I have extras of some of them. I think I'll stick them in the sun and see what happens. Edited 12-22-2020 01:53 PM

Lynda, not sure what you mean. I said that H&J 389 is pressed on the info sheet. I don't need other color pictures unless you have the amethyst. That is a purple color page but I guess no one had the amethyst one when we did that page so I used my cobalt one. I would like a few shots of the clear OCTAGON H&J 2940 if you don't mind.

Judy, do you by any chance have any pictures already taken of 2940 (OCTAGON individual) in clear glass? If not, I'll find my salt and do pictures. Forgot all about it when I rounded up mine that we needed pictures of and did the whole washing, picture taking and editing thing. I have a bunch of OCTAGON colored pictures but none in clear glass for this H&J page.

O K, Jan says that is #2936. My pictures suck. I don't know if you can do anything with them. I just discovered "edit" I have to play when my brain is functioning. Tried to do too much today and burnt out. Sorry Debi, you have to work with an oldie like me. But I'll get there. I can't even see pattern on this picture. Debi, if you can work with this one, I'll post the bottom and rim with measurments. Now as for #2945, or 49, that sucker is in a box. I have room on the table again. I'll get another box out and see if it is in there. I'm starting to get scared. Not many boxes left and I'm missing a lot of salts.

Judy, I have 2937, and 2929 in clear glass. I got pictures of 2949 and 2951 from Kent. I save one of Lyleann's pictures long ago that looks like 2932, but just one view.
I guess we will still need 2926, 2927, 2936, 2941, 2945 and 2946. I have 2967 which is the individual of 2927 so that might have to do if no one has the larger one.
Anyone is welcome to post pictures here. I know Judy already has all her pictures taken but anyone can add theirs too. Sometimes I combine pictures from more than one person on an info page. I hope we can fill in a few more of the missing ones.

Oh my gosh! That sounds like the title of the Smith book that is selling for $100 or more on Amazon. I have no idea why a book on basically reproduction glass would be so much in demand or cost so much. Looks like I can cross that one off my watch list. There is a later book on Smith by Felt that costs even more. Probably not good for salts either.

Judy, Yes, 2940 and 2942 are covered. For 2947, can you post or take a couple pictures of your Smith grape leaf salts? The one pictured in H&J is definitely a Smith salt. I think you said you got the iridized and the cranberry stained feet ones. I'm pretty sure you have the milk glass and clear as well from looking at the page you put together. I have already that page to be able to scroll down and see just like it is attached to the Fostoria ones.

Eye drops in and eyes doing a little better. The H&J 2930 I have is Banner. The New Crescent disc are round with crosshatching and they have a rayed design above and below the disc. Banner's disc are hexagon shaped with slightly sloping sides...And many of the other pieces in the Banner pattern dinnerware have the scalloped detail on the rim that is on the salt. I'll get some good pictures of the footed salt and one with the square and round side by side. Edited 12-06-2020 04:05 PM

Debi I have a habit of collecting to question and compare. I've been doing it for some time. In my files I ID'd all of the Higbee and Wright salts as "Paneled Thistle" to keep them together on the spreadsheet and in the picture files. As I find more information I change the info in my files. The pedestal dish that is in EAPGS info I've got as a berry dish / Stewed fruit dish. And, I think the flat bottom dish is the same just without the pedestal. I have H&J 2930 but I have it as "Diamond Point Disc" by Higbee...NEW CRESENT as the OMN. I've looked it up in EAPGS site and saw the group of salts they have as Banner. Edited 12-06-2020 04:03 PM

Judy, If those thistle masters of yours are not marked they just might be the real Higbee pieces although I don't think they are considered salts. The pedestal one pictured on the EAPGS website is labeled a sauce. I think it's the same as yours. You'd have to look and compare them.

Jan, if they are two different sizes please take a side by side picture to show the difference. Then we can also use the single profile of the clear so Nancy V doesn't have to worry about getting pictures of hers.
Judy, we already have the square one at H&J 2749 but you can take a picture of the two BANNER pattern together and I can put that one in.
I just finished setting up the pages this morning so now I'll start saving and editing the pictures for the info pages.

Nancy V, We will have some pictures of colored salts that can take care of the different views but you might be the only one here that has a clear one. I know Jan has a gorgeous powder blue one and I have a black one. There's also two or three sizes of H&J 2950. We will need one good profile picture of a clear salt for the main page and info page. When I say "main page" I'm talking about this page: http://opensalts.us/References/HJProject/HJProject.html. The info pages are what you see when you click on each salt on the "main page". Not very high tech terms but I wanted to explain what I mean whenever I say "main page" and "info page".
Looks like we will need one profile picture of a clear H&J 2929 if anyone has one. I will have to check mine too.
Judy, I agree that H&J 2929 is not the Higbee salt. It is by Wright. The Higbee DELTA pattern is not on this H&J page at all. H&J 2930 is the Higbee BANNER pattern. The two master size you have actually might be the Higbee DELTA pattern, but I don't think either one is called a master salt. The pedestal one is shown on the EAPGS website but I don't see the flat one. Are either of them marked?

Finishing off my first row contributions I have to say that H&J 2929 pictured in the book IS NOT the Delta (Aka: Paneled Thistle) by Higbee. It is Thistle by L.G. Wright. The Delta salt by Higbee is smaller. Pictured here is the Higbee salt inside the Wright salt with feet and both of those inside another Wright salt with a pedestal-type foot.

No rush on this project page. Maybe someone might want a diversion from all the holiday rush. I haven't finished setting up the pages to transfer pictures to yet. Working on it now. Have to find whatever catalog images I have also. I think there might be some of these we don't have but let's do our best to fill them in. 2936 is a pomade jar missing the lid, but someone might have it in their collection. Someone might also have 2926 in colored glass. I've never seen 2946 or 2949. A few are already covered on other colored glass pages like 2940, 2942 and 2947 but we would need good pictures of the clear ones for the main H&J Project Page.
