I hope we will continue to have monthly topics. I personally do not have much for boats. I would love to see Vallerysthal, Sowerby... I like the salts in holders idea too

Well Debi, I guess I wanted you to talk to me. All I asked was could we start a new topic. As you said, the boats ran for 2 months. The boat salts had run it's course. I asked if you'd consider the new topic of "salts in holders." You answer everyone else but you ignore me. I shouldn't have to beg. Apparently you're still angry at me. So Debi.... here's what I'd like you to do....how about just being nice to me?

Lynda, I really don't know what you would like me to do. The March topic page of Boat Shaped Salts was hardly used so I didn't do a new topic for April. Then you begged for a topic page so I put the old one back up and you posted more boat salts in April than you did in March. Now it's April 30 and you're acting like I didn't do another new topic when the month isn't over yet. What exactly would like me to do?

Debi, it is not the end of the month yet, but I was looking at the list of previous monthly topics. I didn't see "salts in holders." Could we do that in May? I think a lot of people here would have a ton to post.
I clicked on the wrong button. Now I have to post a picture. I just got this salt. Weird little thing. I tried to clean the silver. I hate to clean silver.
Oh, thank you Don. Lolololol I'm a bit late with that.

A pair of plaque-a jours by Hammer ... As I remember I bought the pair from a seller who didn't know what they were. They were still a little pricey for me, but hundreds less than what was the listed price at the time. Sometimes you can luck out.

I finally sprung for a couple of Daums, but I've never had but a few plique-a jours, and only the newer ones which I sold. I admire the plique boats, but not enough to pay the price.

Nancy V, I could use all of my own salts, but there would be no Daum or no plique-a-jour for sure. I have a lot that are not blue but it's true that blue and/or blue and white do dominate.

Thanks Susie. One of very few yellow salts I have unless you count the individuals made in blue, amber, green and yellow.

My usual "rule of thumb" for salts is "if will hold salt, It's a SALT! Same applies to Boat Salts, if it's shaped like a boat, call it a Boat Salt!! Our Computer Man was here Tuesday, and loaded all the salt pictures that I have taken this past year! Now we just have to find time to show some of them! I'm going to the Dentist this morning, and we're taking a dozen boxes of Heisey Glass to the Auction House, this afternoon(That's just the Heisey that I'm willing to "PART WITH!)

I will need to consider salts like this with two pointed ends boat shaped. I think they are usually called that. I don't have any of the row boat shaped salts, usually pressed in patterns like Daisy & Button. This red salt is cut glass.
