Ignore the blatant ulterior motive I have for wanting Zelphas dead, and the fact that I'm 99.9% sure he's not a wolf. Nothing to see there. Move along.

...yeah, weird. Wolves said they'd ask Zelphas to wait a night before killing me (which I guess makes sense if they're desperate for neutral allies) but I don't understand why Zelphas would actually listen to them when he could just... win.

Or maybe I just did have a "get out of certain death free" card left. (This isn't an actual claim. I don't have any kind of kill immunity, just crazy luck.)

I can't speak to why you were blocked - every power I'm aware of that could cause you problems was aimed somewhere else, so somebody would have to be lying to me about their power or their targeting, and the possibilities that "what if somebody is lying" opens up are pretty much anything that's possible within the game.

Mind you, it's also weird that you're alive? You told me that the wolves told you that Zelphas told them he knows you're his prey, and he was gonna shoot you last night. But that apparently didn't happen either?

Also I know you don’t have much reason to help me, but I’d really appreciate it if you could stop Zelphas killing me tonight.

So...uh...what happened to my kill?

- I was roleblocked - unlikely considering apparently that gives feedback which I didn’t get
- Zelphas was baned - I see no sane reason why this would happen
- Zelphas has death immunity - that feels kind of unfair to give me a power which is utterly useless
- I was redirected to some non-Zelphas person and my kill fizzled - not impossible but I doubt we’ll be getting much information about whether it happened out of our dead wolf
- Zelphas isn’t actually the Hunter of Artemis... makes basically no sense considering I know the Hunter exists and is unlikely to be sitting quietly

Can you shed any light on my possibilities? Are there any I’m missing?

Thanks for the information. I can't really do much in return - like I said earlier, analysing is kind of pointless without any of your information. But if you need an extra vote somewhere... just ask.

So, I don't know for sure that Zelphas is even telling me the truth, but Zelphas has indeed claimed to be the Huntress Of Artemis, with a two-fold power: the first is a scry that can figure out if the person in question is the one who killed Artemis' sacred animal; the second is a kill power that can only affect said person. However, to hear Zelphas tell it, he has to have scry confirmation before the kill can succeed. I've asked my Induce Madness claimant to make Zelphas target himself, because I didn't want him maybe killing a townie in the night. This would theoretically allow you to win tonight, but there's so many moving pieces and I'm so unsure of which ones are moving against me that I can't honestly sit here and tell you that you're going to be fine.

...or rather, I can't sit here and tell you that you're going to survive the game. See that's the thing: Zelphas's (claimed) goal is just to kill you, but your (claimed) goal isn't to survive...it's to make sure a child of Dionysus survives. I'm not exactly fully confident in the Induce Madness candidate even if I've got a good townread on them, but the Drunken Fun claimant is the one that caught out Xihirli, blocking both the scum vortexer and the scum kill N1. If that was distancing, I'll eat my shorts. Being both locktown and a highly useful power means that I'm gonna be doing just about everything I can to keep that child of Dionysus alive, if not both. But I can't really succeed at that if town loses, especially if it turns out they're both townies (which they might be, but might not be - honestly the biggest reason I suspect my Induce Madness candidate is the existence of your role).

Also, before you ask, I haven't told this to any of the other people accusing me of lying about my power. You're winning, so you have less motivation to backstab me.

...let's do this.

I killed an animal sacred to Artemis. Artemis does not take this lightly, and as such the Hunter of Artemis is trying to kill me.

I have a vigilante shot, but it only works on "the one who seeks my blood" which means the Hunter. Otherwise it just fizzles out and does nothing. (I show as visiting no-one, I checked). I've been aiming for people who are active but under the radar, so I tried to shoot MornShine night one and Murska night two.

I didn't want to claim this for obvious reasons (no-one has any reason not to sell out a suspicious neutral) but I've been chatting with the wolves, and they told me Zelphas is the Hunter and he knows who I am. I don't know if he actually has a similar vig shot of its own but it seems a reasonable assumption.

So. Can you please confirm that the wolves aren't just feeding me a desperate lie (not sure why, but they could be). And can you also, assuming the wolves didn't lie, not stop me killing Zelphas?

That's all I can really ask (other than "don't kill children of Dionysus without good reason"); honestly at this point I've probably run out of "get out of certain death free" cards so I'm just going to try and take the Hunter down with me.

Why does everyone think I’m lying about not having a power?

Okay... technically I am, but only technically. I have a power but it’s useless in 99% of circumstances, and in the 1% it isn’t it won’t ruin your plans. I need to think for a while to work out whether telling you could screw me over.

Just to clarify: do you actually have no power, or is that a front?

...probably, yeah, but I’m not a wolf so it doesn’t matter. (Obligatory “but that’s what a wolf would say!” Or, if you prefer “but the untrustworthy neutral could tell the wolves!”)

Imagine telling somebody you suspect might be a wolf exactly who you intend to scry and bane that night.

Okay, thanks. It'll be nice to not have to go through "okay, I'm as good as dead" again.

So, appreciate all the effort and such today.

Libro's going to be investigating you tonight. He's also getting doctored, so if hypothetically you were a wolf, I'd advise not shooting there.

We are trying the tie, but erring on the side of killing Batcathat I think.

Rogue Alchemist is weird yeah. Should probably reread there and see specific thoughts because he feels possible.
