I learned about justice, liberty, and equality while I was in DC. I enjoyed the debate we had on the second to last night. We broke up into different groups and debated on different issues that have tried to pass through the congress. After we were done debating in our little groups, we met as a large group and debated about one topic as a whole. I also met a lot of new people and created a life-long relationship with my roommates from North Dakota. We also had an opportunity to listen to the liberal and conservative side of politics.

I learned about liberty, justice and equality. We had a mock congress where we all got to share our thoughts and views on minimum wage. We got to pick what side we were on and then we had to present to the group. I got to meet a lot of people from all over and got to hear a tribal song from Alaskan native people. We got to learn how to ride scooters. I also learned about the Magna Carta.

I visited SDSU, USF, and USD. Most schools did not pertain to my career but I did go around to look. I didn't get to visit all the schools because they couldn't make it. I am considering going to any college that offers classes for my major. I need to do campus visits and find out more about what I want to do for my career. I also need to check my scores for the ACT and retake if they are not high enough.

I visited the active army booth, the army national guard booth, and the rotc program booth. I wanted to look at the tech school that was there but didn't have time everyone was leaving.
I am considering army national guard because they pay for 80% of tech schools or I'm considering joining the marines. I learned the scholarship from the rotc program is very competitive for a four year and even three, but a two year is fairly easy to get. I need to go to the recruiting building in Sioux Falls again and really consider what I want.

When I went to the college fair I visited a lot of schools. I went to Southeast Tech first because that is the college I was most interested in. I also went to USD, SDSU, the Omaha Community College, and a few other Nebraska schools. I talked to the guy at the STI stand the most and talked about which major best fits what would help me succeed the most in the career I would like to follow is Real Estate and Property Management. He told me instead of marketing I should go into Business. I would like to do a visit there sometime just to get the feel, but I think it would be the best fit for me.

I visited Southeast Tech and a few other schools, so I had enough time to visit all the schools that I wanted to. Southeast is the school I'm also considering or the Army. they have many options, maybe I could schedule a campus visit.

During the Close Up trip, I enjoyed learning different secrets about the different monuments. In our workshops, we learned about justice, liberty, and equality. One night we had a debate where we were able to see an issue from both sides and debate it to decide what the best solution was. We also had a mock congress which helped us further understand the political process of how laws and policies are passed. We were able to hear from a liberal and a conservative to hear about their views of different policies and laws. We were able to listen to a man in the airforce and a woman from the marines. We were able to listen to their views from a military standpoint.

1) I visited Morningside, Wayne state, Northwestern, and some other ones I can't recall.
2) I am considering Wayne state and Southeast Tech. I am not considering any military branch.
3) I didn't know Wayne state has such a good teaching program, I am also eligible for Instate even though it is in Nebraska.
4) I just need to look for scholarships right now.

I learned a lot on close up. We saw the WW2 memorial and we learned about the symbolism for each part of it. The 9/11 memorial by the pentagon was very interesting too. It had stools outside to symbolize the people who died in the pentagon and on the plane. The stools that were facing away from the pentagon were the people who died inside and the ones facing towards it were the ones on the plane. We learned about government morals like lIberty, equality, and justice, and what they all mean. The FDR memorial was really cool too because it was very big and it was split up into sections. Each section was for a different term in office. We also learned how to communicate with each other, and share different ideas and opinions.

I went to the Close Up Trip and I would have to say that my best learning experience was when we did the different types of debates one night. Different "classrooms" got different debates and I got a debate about climate change and how it affects different states. I got to learn about how climate change has affected South Dakota and our surrounding states. Another state that we learned about was Alaska because there were a few people from there in my group. The Close Up Trip was really fun and I enjoyed walking around outside and seeing different museums and memorials because it was really nice weather and some of the places we went to, I've wanted to see for a very long time. Im really glad I went on the trip, it was something that I have never done before and I believe that It helped me be more social.

I visited the schools USD and DSU, I did have time to visit every school. I would like to attend USD because I know a lot of people who go there. Something I learned is they have a new off campus place to live that is fairly affordable and has a lot of cool activities. I need to visit the campus because I'd like to see the rooms and just what it is like overall. I would also like to keep job shadowing to get a better idea of what I want to pursue in the future.

My best learning experience from the trip was learning about congress, we did a mock congress to experience what it was like. I also learned more about liberty, justice, and equality. We took these and put them into which monument they went with, this was really cool to experience and talk about with out groups. Then, we got to explore the capital and get a greater history about the room and statues in the capital. Finally, we got to learn how to debate.

At the college fair I visited SouthEast Tech, USD, and the Marines table. Those were really the only places I needed to talk to so i did get to visit all of the places i wanted to talk to. I'm considering South East Tech right now, but I did talk to the guy at the Marines table about being a combat EMT. That really peaked my interest in that. I didn't know I would even be interest in joining any type of military branch, but talking to the marine It is a consideration now.
After the college fair i need to do more research about EMT stuff in SouthEast Tech, and maybe a bit about the marines!! I enjoyed the collage fair and was very pleased with the conversations I got to have so I am more informed now

I visited a lot of different schools, ones in state and out, just to see if there were any that really stuck out to me. I wanted to visit GCU but they had left the day before so they wouldn't get stuck in the snow which was upsetting. I also really want to join the Air Guard because it seems interesting to me. A lot of the schools I told I wanted to do human sciences told me to shadow and told me about their schools programs they had. They also told me about a lot of different scholarships to sign up for.
