My second job shadow was a Sanford Research Tour. I learned a lot more on that tour than my first job shadow. I learned that Sanford has a lot of high tech equipment, and Sanford has a large facility to teach medical students, called the Parry Center. I learned a lot about emergency services and analyzing lab information. From here, I need to go on another job shadow and start going on college visits. I should start looking into colleges that have good Nursing programs.

I tried my best to visit with most schools, and talked to both branches of the military that were there. I was able to visit with Omaha, Air Force, Army, STI, SDSU, USD, and most of the other schools. None of the schools that were there were ones that I was necessarily considering, but they were worth talking to to get information and know more about what they expect from their students. I learned that a lot of schools have a lot of students, but they have a lot of campuses and different buildings that make the class sizes much smaller. Volunteering definitely helps a lot with the college application process, and makes your transcript look much better than if there were none at all. Campus visits are also a big and necessary thing that can show you a lot about a school that you wouldn't be able to find online.

I went and visited southeast tech., University of Minnesota (moorhead), Army (ROTC), and Army.I was thinking about going to southeast tech, but if I were to join Army(ROTC) I would have to go to a four year school, now I am considering going to USD to becoming MSP for ROTC.I learned that taking 3 years might be more challenging when trying to be in the army, and that taking ROTC route would be a way to get higher ranked quicker. I also learned that getting a certain percentage on the ASVAB would get me a bonus for signing up to be in the army. Now I am thinking about going to USD on Junior visit day to see the campus and talk to them about their ROTC program.

I visited South East Tech, it was the only tech school that was there. I am considering going to South East Tech because they have a very good auto body program. Somethings that I learned was that STI has resonantly updated there auto body program. Also I found out that they have spent a lot of money to get the best technology in the industry. Now I need to go and visit the South East Tech campus. I was very disappointed that there was only one tech school that came to the post high planning fair, I would have liked to talk to more schools and seen what they have to offer.
