You pick a name out of the bag: Anissa

As the bag goes around the circle, you notice Anissa trying to trade her name with S.

“H-Hey.” You whisper next to Anissa. “That’s against the rules.”

Anissa just ignores you.

The next day, you notice Anissa shows up at your room.

“L-Look, I’m sorry.” Anissa rambles with Sachiko. “I know that looked bad but I don’t d-dislike you…”

“Why would you I think you dislike me?” Sachiko asks. “You cheated at Secret Santa. That’s completely against the spirit and mean…”

“O-Oh, well the name I picked was y-you so….”

“You picked me and asked to switch?” Tears welled up in Sachiko’s eyes but she tried to hold them back.

“Ah n-no, well it’s just that...you like plants...and uh...Audrey died in that horrible fire-”

Sachiko just stormed past Anissa and the conversation ended.

You’re upset with Anissa for cheating and not wanting to give you a gift, so you decide you’re going to make a gift for Akio instead.

After the way everybody was talking about Audrey, you get a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. You decide to spend all night protecting Audrey by standing guard.

Around 7 AM, you start to feel exhausted by your efforts. You know you can’t keep this up much longer, but you can’t just leave Audrey alone.

“S-Sachiko…?” Someone peeked open the door. Momo.

“Ah, Momo!” You shout. Something about Momo, you feel like you can trust him. He’s reliable.

“H-Have you been up all night? I didn’t see you go in the cellar.”

“Yeah, I have. I’ve been feeling kind of manic lately, and could really use the rest honestly.”

“Then why don’t you?”

“Well, I’m afraid for Audrey…”

Momo looks up at Audrey and takes a step back. “Uh...right.”

“Look, don’t worry about it! She won’t hurt you, especially if you just stand outside!” You look around quickly to make sure nobody can hear. “Plus, if you hold something green, she won’t touch you.” Akio was the only other person you trusted with that information.

“O-Ok. I’ll just stand guard outside until I think of s-something green then.”

“That’s great. And thank you for this, Momo. I really appreciate it.”

“It’s not a p-problem. I-I’ll do my best.”

You head down to the cellar. Only Shirly and Molly are there, who look at you like you just interrupted a conversation. You ignore them for now and just lie down on your cot, ready to get some shuteye.

It isn’t long before you hear the chaos unfold.

Sachiko and Molly are assigned to investigate the library.

“O-Oh god…” Molly says, looking at Claudius. “I can’t believe this…”

“Dallas, Terrence, Dale, and now Claudius…” Sachiko shudders. “He was a cool dude. Honestly, I’m surprised I’ve lived this long.”

First thing’s first, you both take off his helmet. A flattened bullet rolls out of it.

“Oh, huh.” Molly says. “We already got our first clue! Score!”

Sachiko examines the helmet. “You can see where it dented. It must’ve gone through his head and…”

“I got the gist.” Molly insists, turning green. Next, she picks up the lead pipe nearby. “It’s pretty bloody…”

“Maybe this is what beat his face in….I don’t know though, there’s a lot of blood...and gore...on his face…”

The two girls keep looking around some more. Sachiko speaks up next. “I found something!”

“Me too!” Molly beams.

The girls run to each other to share their findings.

“I found some broken plastic.” Molly opens her hand to show tiny shards.

“I found a feather.” Sachiko proudly displays it. “Oh, and there’s a bullet hole in the door.”

They look around a little longer, Molly finding the final clue.”Huh, a lot of these library books…” She flips through the pages. “There’s just manga put in between some pages! What gives?”

“I remember I used to do that during class.” Sachiko snickered at the memory.

Soon after, they get summoned for the class trial.

You are talking with Penelope in the dorm hallway and see Momo storm out of Terrence’s room. You let him brush past you-- clearly he was upset about something. You didn’t want to interrupt him.

“What do you think that was about?” asked Penelope.

“I… don’t know…” you reply. You both brush it off and continue your conversation

[Roughly 1:00 PM]

While setting up the workspace for Sir Terrence, he pulls you aside. He looked… somehow apprehensive.

“Sachiko…” said Terrence. “I am planning on awarding Sir Metal Knight with his own sword, made out of wood, as gratitude for his setting all of this up as a way of keeping my honor intact.”

You replied enthusiastically. “That sounds like a really great idea!”

“But… I need it to be something of a surprise for him.” he says. “Do you think you could not disturb me until after I emerge from the Poker Room?”

“Of course!” you replied. You had a great idea, though. What if we could set up a small ceremony where Sir Cardor could present S his new sword? You’re sure that it would make Sir Terrence happy.

Your next thought was to go to Shirly and ask her if she’d like to cooperate. You explain your plan.

“A ceremony? For Sir Cardor?” Shirly asked.

“Er-- yes. Nothing major, you understand, but… the Cafe/Buffet seems like your kingdom.” you said. “Perhaps… you could make some coffee and snacks?”

“Coffee… well, I can prepare the machine, but I don’t think that the coffee itself will travel…” she replies. “...At any rate, you can count on me. I’ll grab some help.”

You nod, happily going about continuing to help Terrence set up his workstation.

[Roughly 3:00 PM]

You and Momo begin to carry bags of refuse wood away from the poker room. You do your best to keep up with Momo, but he’s a super-hero, right? Plus, you think it might be nice to help Sir Terrence do his thing!

You end up having to wait for her at the Trash Disposal, and together, you dump the wood into the receptacle, and hear it tumble down into the furnace room.

“A body has been discovered!” Monokuma’s voice shouts over the speaker system. “Students, please make your way to the Poker room!”

Shirly and Sachiko search the animatronics rooms. They find the door between the show floor and the Party supply door is stuck.

They continue to search, but while there doesn’t seem to be anything interesting in the Animatronics showroom, the repair room is littered with dozens of dirty cloths soaked in oil of some kind.

Just then, Monokuma’s voice came up on a speaker nearby. “Students, the class trial will begin momentarily! Please make your way to the ground floor elevators!”

You remember what was strange about the mess in the workshop. Everything was completely randomly distributed very much like a large gust of wind just smashed everything around a few times. It wasn't like the messes on the upper floor of the facility..

You look at your NG Code: “Sleep for longer than a half hour”. You could probably whip something up to make this doable for the short term, but if this goes on longer than a few days…

You shake away the dark thoughts from your mind.

You see Dallas as he requests, and he ushers you in.

“Thank you for coming…” Dallas says. “Please, sit.”

“If it’s for helping everyone, then I don’t mind.” you say pleasantly.

“The thing is, the most important thing we can do is to properly identify the mastermind.” says Dallas.

“And you believe I can help you figure out who the mastermind really is?” you say, neutrally.

I have a theory...” Dallas begins. “We were we all knocked out in different ways, right?”

“Y-yes…” you say, not sure where this is going.

“We’re all different weights, too, and in different physical conditions-- some of us are tall, muscular, others are shorter. We’re different genders as well…” says Dallas, as if he were getting to a point.

“Er… I suppose so…” Was Dallas always so obtuse? “Why is this relevant?”

“Well, it’s just that we all woke up around the same time-- around the time that that strange tone played over the intercom…” Dallas says. “How is it that we all happened to revive from whatever knocked us out all at the same time, “I wonder….

“O-oh, well…” you say. Finally a question you can answer. “It could be that we were all given appropriate doses of general anesthetics-- that would keep us under until such time as we needed to be revived.”

Dallas nods, as if this confirmed his suspicion. “Well, you see, we haven’t had any drugs…”

“Oh!” you say, “It doesn’t have to be drugs. There are a number of herbal tinctures that could replicate the effects. As a matter of fact, I could name many that could be made…”

AS I SUSPECTED!” Dallas shouts, triumphantly.

Oh no…

“You might be the only one that could keep us under until exactly the time that we were meant to wake up!” Dallas says, matter of-factly.

“B-but… I didn’t…” you start.

“Don’t lie!” Dallas says. “If you tell me the truth, it may work in your favor…”

“I’m n-n-not lying!” you say, more emphatically. “Unless you have some other… thing to say, I’m leaving!”

I better see you in the foyer at midnight tomorrow when I present my proof.” Dallas shouts.

You can’t really “storm” out of a room, but you do as close as you can muster.

You head down to the medical closet on Friday morning. You decide not to focus on what people are thinking of you, and just be useful in your own way. You mix the solution in the vasoconstrictor with some of your herbal medicine. Eventually...perfect. A one-time antidote for the NG Code going off. Well, hopefully at least.

Friday night, you head to the foyer for Dallas’ meeting. However, right before the pivotal moment where he reveals the mastermind, the power goes out.

You hear a jingle at one point--an NG Code going off? But who?

You hear another jingle going off, this one much closer. You even see the wristband light up a little. Terrence!

You run over to him and feel for a gap in his armor, stabbing the syringe through it. Hopefully that saved him…

Given all the chaos that happens after, you didn’t get the chance to speak to Terrence yourself.

Sachiko and Anissa were left at the crime scene.

“Well, it’s a big job, but I’m sure the two of us can do it!” Sachiko cheered Anissa on.

“Oh god...w-we’re gonna miss a critical clue and everybody’s going to hate us!”

“Uh...let’s just take this one step at a time.

The first immediately apparent detail is that the room is soaking wet, as well as Dallas. But what could’ve caused this?

There’s also clutter everywhere, as if a tornado just ripped through the area. But Dallas’ body didn’t seem too beaten up…

A handsaw lay near Dallas’ body, but there was no blood on it. But given the wetness of the room, it could’ve been washed off.

The room also had a janitor closet like the one upstairs.

“We may as well check his body now…” Sachiko suggested.

“I may as well do it.” Anissa grumbled. “The corpse will remind me that I always have something to be excited about.”

Anissa ruffled through the pockets. “Hmmm….I only found an MP3 player and his lighter and cigarettes.”

“Only? Were you expecting there to be something else?”

“No, I guess not. But his gun is gone.”

Shortly after you were summoned for the trial.

You are Sachiko Hachibani The Ultimate Herbalist

You are called upon by a local small hospital, to treat an older gentleman with a serious illness. You aren’t worried-- it was one you’d seen before. You make a poultice and have the nurse feed it to him, but something goes wrong. Oh no! Is this like the time with Teacher? you ask yourself. Dreading the answer, you rush over to the patient, but he then springs up with surprising speed, and with a smile on his face, he quickly injects your neck with something. And you can remember no more.
