I am reading Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick. I have read 107 pages. It is Science or Realistic Fiction.

I think my favorite book so far has been Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. I truly loved this book. It made me jump from my bed, scream at the people in the story, and it was worth crying and almost getting a detention over. Choi is such an inspiring and fascinating writer. I dreaded whenever I had to put the book down. The love story of Sam and Penny just captured me. And I also applaud her on how their own stories tie together in the end. This was the first time I was happy to third wheel in someone else's relationship. It grabbed my attention, stole my heart, and took my breath away. I could never get enough of that book. I was actually very blue when I finished it and had to let it go.

I have read 25 books this quarter and I am hoping to double up on that.

I am currently reading Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco, which has 431 pages and I stopped at 187. The genre isn't specified but can be both historical fiction or mystery, because it is set in the nineteenth century and is a murder mystery. My favorite book so far is the one I am currently reading. I can see why the author is an #1 Bestselling author. Kerri has spun a tale that shows her dedication to the book and research she had to learn from to make the book possible. The characters have shown growth and see the consequences of his or her actions. This novel ensnares the reader to never put it down. There is a new Rick Riordan book that is coming out called The Tyrant's Tomb, it is the forth volume of the series. I also hope to read the third book of the series that I have just purchased called The Burning Maze. I have fully read five books and was in my sixth this quarter but I sadly did not finished. I hope to read at least six books next quarter, knowing that I was able to make it to the sixth book but never completed it.

I am currently reads=ing Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I stopped on page 193 of 338. This book's genre is action/romance.

My favorite books from first quarter were Legend, Prodigy, and Champion by Marie Lu. These three books were a series, and the series was amazing. I own all of these books, so I was often reading them at home. I've already read the series before in middle school, but coming back and reading it again made me realize just how good the series really is.

The author I have on my reading list is Tahereh Mafi. I am currently reading one of her books right now but the book is part of a series. I will definitely be finishing the series.

I read 11 books first quarter. My goal for second quarter is to read about 12 books. I'm going to try my very hardest to make this possible.

I am currently reading the lost hero by Rick Riordan. I stopped on page 23 of 373. The genre of this book is fiction. My two favorite books from first quarter are Breakdown and Projekt 1065. Breakdown is a novel about a high school football team in Chelsea. A lot of the players in the team were raised in the bad parts of town and are involved in gang violence. The head coach attempts to make these players turn their lives around and to get out of Chelsea. Chelsea was always known to be a gang filled city. Projekt 1065 is a historical fiction book about WWII. A young boy from Ireland imposes as a spy to try and gain information from the Hitler Youth. He obtains blueprints of a top secret jet the Nazis were working on. I don't really have a list for next quarter. I will probably read some good books. I read a total of 6 books this quarter. Next quarter I am going to try to double that, since I won't have football.

I am currently reading Catacomb by Madeleine Roux, which is a mystery. I am on page 151 of 330. My favorite book from this quarter was Crossover by Kwame Alexander. I liked it because it was a realistic fiction book so I could relate to it. It was about basketball too which I love basketball. I read Rebound by Kwame before Crossover and it was just as good. There are two more books in the series so I am looking forward to getting them are reading them this quarter. I would also like to start reading Harry Potter again. I was reading it last year and over the summer and I stopped in the middle of book 3 or 4. I read 5 books this quarter and I am hoping to read 6 or 7 this quarter.

I just finished up with the Count of Monte Cristo. It was 1065 pages. It is historical and adventure fiction. My favorite book this quarter would have to be the Kite Runner. When it Wass first recommended to me, I didn't want to read it, but I tried it and it was amazing. Another on of my favorite was the Outsiders. Some of the stuff the characters were going through was relatable and that's why I liked it. I have a list of books I am going to read next quarter. I plan is to also finish the 5th wave series. I finished 12 books this quarter. Next quarter I will try for 16 books.

I just finished Three Weeks With My Brother by Nicholas Sparks. It had 356 pages and is non-fiction. My favorite book from the quarter was Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I can completely understand why it was at the top of the NY Times Bestsellers List. It was one of those books that was hard to put down. This quarter I also enjoyed reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and Three Weeks With my Brother by Nicholas Sparks. All of the stories had great plot lines and writing styles. I currently have no books on my list for 2nd quarter. I'm sure my mom can give me a good recommendation though. In in 1st quarter I read 4 books. My goal for 2nd quarter is to also read 4 books.

1. I am currently reading The Knowing by Sharon Cameron, which is a teen fiction novel. I am on page 130 out of 435.

2. My favorite books from first quarter were Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly and Part of Your World: A Twisted Tale by Liz Braswell. I've always been one for fairy tales and fantasy stories. Both of these books are full of humor and emotion, but they're also based on fairy tales. Stepsister is a darker adaptation of the original Cinderella story that focuses on one of Cinderella's ugly stepsisters, and Part of Your World is based around what would happen if Ariel hadn't defeated Ursula at the end of Disney's The Little Mermaid.

3. The Tyrant's Tomb by Rick Riordan and Supernova (which has not been released yet) by Marissa Meyer are definitely on my reading list for second quarter. I also hope to read books by Veronica Roth, Shannon Messenger, Kiera Cass, Alexandria Bracken, and Victoria Aveyard.

4. I read fourteen books in first quarter and am currently reading my fifteenth. I hope to read fifteen to twenty books in second quarter, since I will have more time now that marching band is over.

I am currently reading max i am currently on page 218 of 253 the book is based on a true story. i really like this book I plan to watch the movie later and see if i can tell the differences.
My favorite book this quarter would have ton be American victory mainly because i learned so much about one of my favorite UFC fighters that i never knew before. The things that he went through to become the best were crazy he had no life growing other the wrestling and because of that he has an Olympic tittle and he also has two UFC championships. i would recommend this book to someone if they enjoy wrestling or the UFC. the worst part of the book is when he talks about after he won his tittle and started slacking and got kicked out of the USA world training center.
i cant say i really have a plan but i know i want to read kite runner for world lit and i would also like to read more self help books.
I think i read 6 books total between this class at home and in world lit, i hope to get around the same next quarter but i am going to try for 7 i feel is a good number and realistic.

I am currently reading The Deal by Elle Kennedy. I stoped on page 230 out of 343 today. The genera of this book is Fiction and Romance. My two favorite books from this Quarter are The Flowers in the Attic and Girls on the Verge. The Flowers in the Attic is more of a crime, justice and mystery book. It chilled every bone in my body at some point in time. What the grandmother did to them was unreal. Girls on the Verge was a very opinionated book on whether or not Anna should get an abortion. To me it was her choice to have sex so why is she getting an abortion. I have read 10 books this quarter. My reading goal for next quarter is to either meet that or go over that.
