VERDICT=Carelessly throwing a bat 3.3.1 and deliberately throwing a bat 3.3.1 are covered in the FEDERATION rulebook. Carelessly is a warning and the next offender on that team is ejected. (Remember to record warnings). Deliberately throwing a bat calls for an ejection. Umpire discretion must be used...but when a player slams his equipment after a call, that play disqualifies himself from the contest. If we allow this, the player(s) action will continue. NOTE: Use discretion- a player who is hit by a pitch and is in pain may toss his bat to the side or slam his bat to the ground...use discretion!

Regardless of the level he's gone. No warning given for that action.

I agree with the ejection based on rule 3.3.1 (L)..."deliberately throwing a bat, helmet etc"....big difference in just tossing equipment to the side but in this case the batter dropped his bat and slammed his helmet...if we allow this, it will probably happen again...

that's a tough one.........you certainly would be justified with an ejection, but I probably would have issued a written warning............

Issue a warning, Then have the HC to take care of it.

MLB You let it go w. warning.High school you run him. You certainly don't wait til player is 5 steps away w.back to you.I watched this game on tape and reran tape to see if Gennett was mouthing while walking away and saw nothing.Pitch was definitely a strike.Ump may have been on edge. Did not have his best day behind plate and was hearing it from both dugouts
