1. During second quarter I finished 10 books. The books I finished were Because of Low, While it Lasts, Go Ask Alice, Keep Me in Mind, The Winter of Candy Canes, Milk & Honey, and all three Hunger Games books. For the whole semester I finished 24 books.

2. My most favorite book of the semester was Seven Ways We Lie. I enjoyed this book because it was very captivating and held my interest so well.

3. My least favorite book was The Liar Society. I didn't enjoy this one very much because it got boring really quickly.

4. I learned that reading is something that helps me relax. I learned that once you figure out the kind of books you like, it's really easy to find books that hold your interest. I learned that you should always be comfortable when you're reading, otherwise you won' be able to focus on your book!

I finished about 15 books this semester. I read Carry On, Fangirl, Eleanor and Park, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked Girls, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, and Let it Snow.
My favorite book is Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. I thought the whole book was really clever, and I felt like I was actually there.
My least favorite was Wicked Girls. It was written in verse and I've never liked books like that, and the characters were mean to each other and I didn't like them.
I learned that I read a wide variety of books. Also that I get really mad about bad endings. I also appreciate having blocks of time set to read, even though I like reading its hard to find time.

Finished the book Jessie's Girl.
1.I finished 19 book this semester One paris summer, The swap, Hit the road, sense you've been gone, the list, the face on the milk carton, not in the script, first and the, when you where gone, one, sorcery stone, chamber of secrets, prisoner of azcaban, goblet of fire, let it snow, the things we kiss goodbye, the possibility now, jessie's girl, and harry potter and the cursed child.

2. My favorite book form the semester is One because it is so different then what I normally read. It was really sad but still very good.

3. My least favorite book would be Harry Potter and the cursed child. I have a love hate relationship with this book parts of it I love a lot but over all the book does not make any sense as the next Harry potter book.

4. I learned that I don't always have to read the same type of books. I tried new books and really liked them so I will keep doing that.

I'm reading Percy Jackson's Greek Gods by Rick Riordan, I'm on page 35 of 401.

1. I finished 13 books this semester. I think I read two Beyonders books, a three or four Percy Jackson books, some random novels here and there, and maybe 3 graphic novels.

2. My favorite book is and probably will always be The Lightning Theif since it's the first book of my favorite series. I could probably recite the entire story, given enough time.

3. My least favorite book was probably the Edward Scissorhands graphic novel. It's not that it was bad or anything, it's just my least favorite one.

4. I learned that I still love to read, even though I don't always have the time for it nowadays. I still love books with action and adventure, and now that I'm a little older I understand the characters more. I already knew that Rick Riordan was my favorite author, but I learned that it's because his writing style just kind of vibes with how I see things.

I finished Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate it has 343 pages total. I finished 15 books this semester I read House Arest by K.A. Holt, Charlie's Presumed Dead, Schizo by Nic Sheff, Nearly Gone, That was Then This is Now by S.E. My favorite book this semester was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne it was filled with different emotions and I just couldn't imagine being in that its heartbreaking. It was different from most books I've read too and I really enjoyed it. My least favorite book was A long, long sleep and it wasn't that amusing to me I guess, it was really sci-fi and I couldn't get into it.I learned how to relax and sit and read for a long period and just don't think anything else just read.

I am reading After the End and I am on page 293 of 322

I read 20 books this semester. I read: Send by Patty Blount, Shiver, Linger and Forever by Maggie Stiefvater, Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy, The Girl With Borrowed Wings by Rinsai Rossetti, Forget Me by K.A> Harrington, Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, and Light by Micheal Grant, Meet me at the River by Nina de Gramont, In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters, Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts, Night Struck by Jenna Black, The Dead of Winter by Chris Priestley, And finally The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.

My favorite book this semester was The Girl With Borrowed Wings. I love this book so much because it gives this indescribable feeling of freedom. Its about about finding yourself and Rinsai Rossetti wrote it perfectly.

My least favorite book this semester was The Creeping. I didn't like this book very much because a good portion of it was predictable. I liked the horror in it but the "romance" was unbearably clique and dumb.

I have found that I enjoy shorter books with meaning and long series with adventure. I love reading now more than I did before. I now have a fascination for horror and disturbing stories, I find them fascinating and interesting. I have leaned that is one of the most valuable things I can do with my time and it's something that I enjoy greatly.

I am reading Trouble is a Friend of Mine. It has 334 pages and I stopped at page 49 today.

The books I read are Psychopath, The Cellar, All the Bright Places, Schizo, My Life with the Walter Boys, Up in Flames, Faceless, They all fall Down, Alive, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily, and Trouble is a Friend of Mine. I read Faceless. They All Fall Down, Alive, Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily, and Trouble is a Friend of Mine all in this quarter.

2. The Dash and Lily book series was my favorite book series of the semester. This is ultimately because it is the only series I read.

3. My least favorite book of the semester was Up in Flames. The main character was extremely stupid and annoying.

4. I learned that I like reading more than I ever thought I would. I also learned what my favorite part of a book is; it's the characters. An interesting character is what makes a book the best for me. I also learned my favorite genre is Teen Fiction.

The book I am currently reading is Sabotage By: Neal Bascomb. This book has 247 pages and I am currently on page 203.

1.This quarter I finished reading 7 books. Zero Night, Auschwitz, The Enemy Above, The Reaper, The Way Of The Reaper, The Christmas Sweater, and Fragments. And this semester I read a total of 13 books.

2. If I had to pick one book or series that was my favorite I would have to pick The Vietnam series by Chris Lynch. I chose this series because I loved how Chris took time to explain all of his characters and really got me interested in the book.

3. My least favorite book would have to be Auschwitz because of how grotesque it was. Overall I liked the book but the way it was told was so dark it was a little hard for me to read at times.

4. This semester I learned a lot about what types of books I like. I discovered I really like history book because they are so gripping. Before I took independent reading I didn't really read a lot, but during the course of this class I learned that I love reading. Every story is so different and that is one of the reasons I like to read.

I am reading the book The boy at the Top of the Mountain. I am in page 114 of 260.

1. I finished 15 books this semester. The first book I read for first quarter was Fragments by Binjamin Wilkimirski. Next I read the series of books called Once, Then, and Now by Morris Gleitzman. I read Deadly by Sarah H. Harvey, 90 Minutes in Heaven by Dion Piper, and Branded by the Pink Triangle. Second quarter I read the books Cut me free by J.R. Johnson, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne, Doubled Over. I then read Salt to the Sea and Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Septetys. The last three books I read were The Christmas Pony, Run Boy Run, and The Boy at the Top of the Mountain.

2. If i had to choose a favorite book it would be the Once, Then, and Now series. Most of the books I liked of they were about the holocaust. These books were a short but very good read.

3. My least favorite book I have ever read was The Christmas Pony. I could never get myself to read it because I don't ever read books in that genre.

4. I learned that when I find the right genre and books I can't stop reading them. I didn't really read any books with the same author. I just found the genre that I really like and have been reading for awhile. Most of my books ended with the main character who was a Jew escaped and lived but there were some that they didn't live and ended up dying. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was one where he didn't live.

I just finished City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare and it had 424 pages.

1. I read 8 books this quarter: Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard; Lady Midnight, City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, and City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare; Grace by Richard Paul Evens; and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. I read a total of 15 books this semester.

2.I loved the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. I loved this series because it was different from other novels of its genre and I couldn't put it down.

3. My least favorite book was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It was not as good as the Harry Potter series, and I wish it was a new story line, not one from previous books.

4. I found that I read even more at home than I used to since starting this class. I also learned that I love dystopian novels more than any other genre. By reading many books by Cassandra Clare, I learned that she has an advanced knowledge on demonology and is a strong believer in love.

3. My least favorite book by far was Stormbreaker. Imjst can't imagine a 12 year old kid being able to outrun mercenaries and spies.

4. I learned that when I read for my own entertainment, I find it very pleasant. I very much-like non-fiction books, but my favorite author by far is Rick Riordan. I noticed that all kinda tie in together with the same theme or lesson at the end, at the end of the percy jackson series it was all about trusting someone to do the right thing.

Start by writing a sentence that includes current book title, # of pages, and page number where you stopped. PLEASE finish it after you leave this class! :-)

Then answer these questions in COMPLETE sentences. Number your responses please.
1. How many books did you finish reading this quarter? List the titles in your response. These should match your reading log and your journal posts that are tracked in Infinite Campus. Also, how many did you finish reading this semester. You DON'T have to list the books from 1st quarter. Just provide a total for the semester. They should all be recorded on your reading log and in the comment box in Infinite Campus.

2. What was your MOST favorite book or series of the semester and WHY? Answer in 2 complete sentences!

3. What was your LEAST favorite book of the semester and WHY? Answer in 2 complete sentences!

5. Answer in AT LEAST 3 sentences: What did you learn about yourself as a reader this semester? For example, did you simply learn that given the TIME to read, you actually ENJOY reading? Did you learn that you really enjoy a particular kind of writing or story? If you read many books by the same author, what did you learn about that author's stories or style?

In the words of Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!" Thanks for being a great group of dedicated readers! Keep reading!
