As a nonprofit organization, IRS regulations prohibit us from giving values. I don't of any current publications that give values for this piece, but you might find it useful to keep an eye on eBay to see if it shows up there. Sorry we can't be more helpful.

Sorry that the website it not up-to-date. Unfortunately for a variety of reasons we have not been able to update it recently and hope to have a new website up and running in 2021. Meanwhile, the Smith lighting monograph is available in our eBay store or by calling 304-566-7430. Tom

Hi, George -

If Johan had any connection with the glass industry after he emigrated to the U.S., there is a good possibility that we might have some
information on him in our archives, since we have the complete
archives of the American Flint Glass Workers Union. Unfortunately, the vase bulk of that material is not indexed in any way. We have been transcribing obituaries, but I do not find Greiner/Griener listed. Sorry I can't be of any help. Tom at the Museum of American Glass in WV

I'm from upper NY State, have relatives in Germany who spell their name Griener, we met at a restaurant near my house. They, Griener, have a glass factory family in Germany, and raised questions regarding my great grandfather, emigrated to the US, pre-WW1. His name was
JOHAN, was born 1851, unk location in Germany. Just FYI, any contact with "family" would be appreciated, looking at continuance with family tree. Thank You
 George

Hello, vmmill - No, I'm sorry, the museum does not often purchase glass, especially not of items that we already have examples of. Thank you for contacting us. Tom at the Museum of American Glass in WV

Hi, Brittany. The American Thermos Bottle Company made many different thermos bottles over the years. Unfortunately, there are no reference sources that I am aware of to give you further information. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I don't know a lot about Clico. I believe it was introduced around 1930.
