I finished reading teammate by David Ross. It is 238 pages in length.

D. This book is about an MLB player which makes sports a very big part of the book. The whole book is based both on David Ross's life and career in baseball. It tells the story from when he was a little boy to the time that he retired from his professional career in the MLB. He talks about how he focused on the defensive part of the game therefore he did workouts as a catcher like blocking drills and how to frame a pitch. He also was a big student of the game reading what the hitters can and cannot hit. He is a very athletic man which he had to be to play in the MLB until the age of 39.

I have finished lots of book so far and forgot to put them in my other post those books are Rousey by Ronda Rousey that was my biography book, Ignite me by Tashia Mafia and now Legend by Marie Lu. Legend was the newest one that I finished and I read 305 pages out of 305.

E. May Day! May Day! is an international distress signal. Is anyone in enough danger in your current book that they might need to use this signal?

In the book Legends there are lots of parts where May Day the distress signal could have came in handy for June. June is a young detective for the republic and is highly trained. She encounters a boy named Day that gave her trouble at the beginning of the book. When June was trying to find Day she could have used the distress signal when she found him and kinda got into a fighting match with him. After Day and June fought for a while, when Day stoped and told June some news that she didn't want to be true they team up with each other to take down the Republic. Many times when they tried to fight the republic, the "May Day" call would have came in handy because the first few encounters they had with the Republic were not good and day and June barely got away form them. June and Day start their journey together and fall madly in love with one another. There are more book to this series and Im hoping to read them all.

I am currently reading The Only Thing To Fear by Carline Tung Richmond. I am on page 12 of 273.

So far the book has been really good but I haven't gotten into it yet. Hopefully these next couple of days I can read a little farther to see what really happens but otherwise I am enjoying so far. In this book I would think you would have to be kinda strong going into the army or just to have the strength to even get into the army. That is why this book is so fun to read because it has so many things going on at once and thats a good thing so you don't want to stop reading.

I recently finished Sickened by Julie Gregory. I am now reading Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult. This book has 514 pages and I am on page 22.

B. So far I know that this book takes place in March in New Hampshire. There is a blizzard in the book right now and people are having trouble getting around. One of the main characters in this book, Addie Peabody, owns a diner and her fridge broke, but the repairman cannot get there to fix it because of the weather. Addie is worried that the food will go bad. So she decides to have all of her customers build snowmen and then she brings them into her fridge to keep the food cold.

Im currently reading Devil's Pocket by John Dixon. I am on page 46 out of 338.

D. While still trapped on Phoenix Island, Carl Freeman spends most of his time practicing many styles of Mixed Martial Arts in preparation for The Funeral Games. The games are an underground fighting tournament which gets the most elite fighters. Physical fitness plays a massive role because the fights could possibly go on for hours on end. He could also fight up to 5 times in just 2 days. Nonetheless Carl needs to be at his physical peak if he wants to win the tournament and bring home glory and 10 million dollars back to Phoenix Island.

Today I finished Dark Energy. It had 271 pages. I am now reading Friday Night Lights by H.G. Bissinger. I am on page 15 of 408.

D. Did you know that May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month? Do sports or fitness play any role in the current book you are reading?

The Permian Panthers of Odessa are back. They are the best high school football team in Texas history. They are socially and racially divided. Sports plays a role in this book because it is about a football team getting ready for another victorious season. Most of there games hold about 20,000 fans, and its only for a high school football team.

I finished My Enemy's Cradle yesterday. I am now reading Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry. I am on page 49 of 412 pages.

D. In my book there is a family with nine children. They always try to play some type of sport or game each week. Breanna is the main character in this book. She was hoping to go to a private academy school. But her parents decided they needed her closer to home. Because they wanted her to help around the house. But that is not what Bre wants. Kyle is the football star of the school and he wants Bre to write his English paper. Because if his grades do not get better he will not be able to play college football. So Brenna has to make a decision if she is going to write one English paper for one hundred dollars. Or is she going to write the paper to that she can go to her dream college. Overall, this book is good so far, I like that the main character is not shy. She is strong enough to figure out the hard times in her life.

I am currently reading Tricks by Ellen Hopkins. I stopped on page 343 of 625.

E. This story is about a girl named Eden, whose parents are very catholic. After her parents realize that she's been sneaking out to meet a boy, they send her to Gates of Zion, which is a rehabilitation place to get kids back from the 'grip of satan'. Eden doesn't like it there, she gets one meal every-other day, and never goes outside. After being there for about a month, she treats a plan to sneak out of the compound. Eden is determined to see her boyfriend again, and run off with him. I feel that this has to do with the May Day signal because Eden is in trouble, and is desperately looking for anyone who can save her. Personally, I am really hoping that she escapes and runs off with her boyfriend because she deserves it.

Today I finished the book A Child Called It. It had 174 pages.

In the book Im reading called a Child Called It snow was part of it in one chapter. In the chapter it describes how he always got nothing for Christmas while his brother were spoiled. That year his mother got him a pair of roller skates, but they weren't for his enjoyment. He explained how she would make him roller skate up and down the block in the freezing cold with no coat on for hours. He said he would often get unbearably cold with all the snow around and it was hard to skate.

I finished Conjured, and I am currently reading The Detour by S.A. Bodeen. I am on page 215.

E. Within my story, Olivia gets kidnapped. While Olivia was driving down the road, she noticed a girl playing the flute and got distracted, resulting in her getting into a car accident. As she woke, the flute girl smacked her with a baseball bat and called her mom to carry Olivia to their house. Olivia is being held captive until she admits to what she has done, but Olivia has no idea what she has done. This results in a "May Day" call as she tries to figure a way to get out of the strange girls basement.

The other day I finished Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. Then I started on Stung by Bethany Wiggins. I am on page 98 out of 290.
This book is about how the main character, Fiona, wakes up in a completely different world. She doesn't remember going to sleep but when she wakes up, her house is abandoned, everyone is dead, and the world is "broken". She finds a strange tattoo on her wrist of a bee. Apparently, those who have this tattoo are violent beasts that kill people who do not have this tattoo. But Fiona is not a beast. She is normal just like everyone else that does not have a tattoo. Therefore, Fiona is branded for the wrong kind. MayDay!

I finished Upon Impact by Stacy Buehner. It had 133 pages.
C. In the section I read today, flowers are mentioned. She has a crazy cheating ex and her just wants to get back with her. She is smart and does not let that happen. He then sends her 100 pink roses on valentines day. That is a lot of roses and they were at her office. All of her coworkers had to take a look. She decided she did not need 100 roses so she handed them out to other women. This made her feel good.

Yesterday I finished Long Way Home by Katie McGarry. I then started Say you'll remember me by Katie McGarry, and I am on page 126 of 453.
In this book we first meet all of the character at a carnival/ press conference. I would consider this a celebration because this res conference is to introduce a young man back into the world after a juvenile delinquent program. This celebration is all about welcoming him back into a better society. The catch is he didn't commit the crime, but no one else outside his own family knows it. At this carnival he meets a girl, this girl, coincidently, is the governors daughter. This governor that put him through a program that changed him for the better. I am so excited to see how this books celebrations play out!

Yesterday I finished reading The Last Fighter Pilot by Jerry Yellin. The book had 197 pages.
This book was about fighter pilots in World War II. They were frequently in dangerous situations and many got shot down. When I pilot was hit or going down they would say May Day! over the radio. It was never a good thing when this was said because it meant a pilot was in trouble. Jerry heard many of his fellow pilots say this just before their deaths.
