1. My job Shadow was on Monday, October 28, from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m..
2. My shadow was downtown, at the Keloland building.
3. I shadowed Sarah McDonald, she is a multi-media journalist.
4. The best part of my job shadow was getting to see what the day-to-day life of a multi-media journalist is like. It was really cool that I got to go along with her to the the Prairie Center to interview people about a story she was doing.
5. The worst part of my job shadow was feeling unprepared. I wasn't really given information on how to dress, where to park, and who to ask for when I walked in to the building.
6. I am still considering a job in the journalism/ mass communications field although it may not be an MMJ reporter.
7. If I shadowed again I would still look into this particular career field, however, maybe I would shadow a more fashion focused journalist.

1. My shadow was on Tuesday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. till 12 p.m.
2. My shadow was at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, SD.
3. I shadowed Amber Stoli who is an Occupational Therapist.
4. The best part of my shadow was seeing what she does and the whole environment itself. I enjoyed this part because all the staff was very friendly and that made the environment upbeat.
5. The worst part of my job shadow was seeing an old man excrete on his bed. This was definitely not the highlight, but it could have been a lot worse. Also, not being able to understand the patients was not that great.
6. I am still considering this career field, specifically this career. I really enjoy helping others and with this career, I can.
7. I would shadow the same career, just in a different environment.

1. My job shadow was on Wednesday, November 13, from 1 P.M. till 2:30 P.M..
2. My job shadow was at the Teach Well building, in conference room b.
3. I shadowed Lynda Nix, who is the Harrisburg School District’s Social Worker.
4. I’d say the best part of the job shadow was getting the opportunity to ask questions about what it means to be a social worker. It was interesting to hear what made her want to go into this field choice.
5. The worst part of the shadow was not being able to really see what she does in her job. It was more of an interview and less of a job shadow, but it’s difficult to see her in action when she works with others confidential information.
6. I’m still considering the Human Services path for a future career. Although I wouldn’t necessarily be interested in being a social worker, I’m still interested in doing something similar, such as counseling.
7. If I were to shadow again, I would want to shadow a news broadcaster or journalist. I think it’d be cool to see how the news is made, and see if it’s a possible career I would want to go into.

My job shadow was on October 17, 2019, from 8 to 12.
My shadow was at Avera in the oncology unit.
I shadowed Rachel, she’s an oncology and radiation nurse.
The best part of the job shadow was meeting the patients and helping Rachel. I made a good connection with one of the patients, her name is Pam.
The worst part was seeing the patients in the amount of pain they were in. One of the patients complained about how much they were hurting, and they were throwing up a lot after their radiation.
I really would like to go to school to be an oncology nurse. My uncle had cancer, and he really enjoyed the nurse(s) he had. You get to know them, and it makes you feel good that you’re apart of their recovery.
I would go shadow at the hospital again, or I would shadow at a veterinarian clinic to help with the animals.
