Looking at a Fib projection (probably worthless in this situation, but who knows?), Gold should find a .618 target around $1554. ....below that, $1524. for a 75% retracement....below that, assume the position....that is to say, bend over and kiss your .... goodbye!

Go back to the chart at 465

The top down to the low was an A

Then an up down and an up that.....the last up of those three broke down into a 5 wave move which is what C waves do.
In this case....it was the C wave of the B up

Fakers

They make you think it's all hunky dorey and away we go.
Instead it stopped right between the 75.% and 78.6% retracement.
Remember I gave the 75 number of 1641.21

It went a dollar or so above that but below the 78.6 number.

The count down since then gets a little screwy and THAT"S why Elliott is usually the last thing I look at to see what the pattern says is happening.
Too many try to count every squiggle and wiggle and say 1-2-3 or a b c

The simple fact is EW needs to play out and then you can see what it is telling you.
I look at sentiment (not on intraday or weekly basis...but significant bottoms and tops)
and TA and COT's and the psychology of the market.I may even look at Fibonacci on a time basis like I did in 99 and 2001 that showed me a good timeframe for projecting when the next low may come in.

I remember back when I started posting in 97.....John Disney said...……"The ankle bone os connected to the leg bone yada

I'm thinking the A wave dropped to 1564 and the C bottomed at $1450 but I'm a novice at EW and maybe that count is not possible. The $1450 bottom with the severe drop in share prices elicited plenty of fear in me. One thing I did check after your post yesterday was the level of $BPGDM. I had not checked it recently and was surprised to find it way up at 80. I have never before purchased shares at that extreme. I'll read the articles you posted. The shares are reacting well today but one day does not make a trend. I can only hope $1550 holds but $1350-$1410 going back to the initial break out is not out of the question. Thanks for the thoughtful input.

No Idea

I still think we have a C wave down coming.

That could go to 1400 or below.

It Needs to go down far enough to elicit FEAR!

Right now everyone is still cheering that there is no gold to be had.

There's Also…….No Jobs to be had Etc Etc

So that is not conducive to pangs of inflation even with 6 TRILLION $ of Fiat printed on top of everything else.
Besides.......they may not want gold to be of great value if they get what they want by Enslaving the Whirled!!!

That's what we should be paying Attention to!

Too many folks out there saying this smells.

Forget watching any media outlet and hoping you'll get the truth.

There are folks out there trying to cut through the BS.

Hambone and "everything is fine".

I've been watching the c-virus data closely and doing my own "thing" with the information. You know that I've been pessimistic here and in other places.

While the rest of the world is still full-blown exponential "up", the past 3 days of US data have broken that trend. Yes, it's only 3 days and that ain't much, but such a thing is unexpected. Could be a statistical or reporting fluke. The change is that case growth is still "up", but the rate has slowed.

The next 15 days are about as important as it gets......

Pyrite, I understand what you are saying but if you check BullionVault's trading platform you can still buy and sell there at the COMEX paper price with no significant premium. They claim to be holding unallocated metal in their vaults in the customer's audited account and they even allow allocated bars to be registered in the customer's name which, in theory a customer could ask to be delivered. Is that what is happening or is it just more smoke and mirrors?

502.... The Vet....
I read that a little different. In the shop, I too experienced "exceptional volume" back when silver did one of its things.
There WAS no metal. I had sources with many many VERY LARGE wholesalers and they were all in the same boat.
Actually I guess it was a few times......From NO ONE BUYING to ....NO ONE HAVING...

There was no way to give metal to anyone. No one went without. They had to wait for (as I remember) 2 to 3 weeks but their purchases were locked in and they got the metal when I could.

BullionVault
Client update
17:10 GMT Monday 30 March, 2020
Global crisis, London storage
London is the heart of global precious metals trading. Latest data say the UK capital's professional vaults hold the world's largest commercial stockpiles of precious metals, equal to 10 months of global gold-mine output and 15 months of world silver-mine output.

Right now those stockpiles cannot easily move to other global locations, not even to the other precious-metal hubs of Zurich or New York. So while all of BullionVault's markets are open 24/7 for you to trade as you wish, London is where our suppliers are most able to re-stock our trading inventory, making new metal available for you to buy at better prices.
https://www.bullionvault.com/info/client-update-20200325

In other words - we are still trading paper! don't ask for metal!

You know.
I could be wrong and this initial drop is a fake and the big move that the inside/outside days are indicating could be up.
If you look at the 1 hour chart at netdania
We broke below recent support and are now testing the underside or possible resistance.

The drop we had overnight is not the big move that the compression is presaging.

Again.....it could go either way.
Sometimes....the initial move is a fake out.

We'll C.

Below is someone else's opinion on Morien. As I said, I bought a ton at these depressed prices yesterday which I think will snap back fairly soon. Also, I intend to call the company when my little granddaughter I am watching gives me a chance, lol, to get an update. Will post when I do. This is an opportunity to buy a huge resource for almost nothing while the sale lasts.
---------------

I am a significant investor in MOX and have been lurking for years. But today I could not resist to join SH and offer a perspective. The rock falling from roofs is not an uncommon occurrence in any underground mining. Under normal circumstances, this is usually remedied quickly to Safety Board satisfaction. But given the Covid crisis, American inspectors were unable to fly to Donkin to offer remediation due to travel restrictions. So the problem was not solved despite it being a small area of the mine. Given it has been over 6 weeks without resolution and the media holding the N.S. government's feet to the fire, the Safety Board elected to shut the mine down. It was functioning at 50% since the February 13th incident. It was not "sealed" but "maintained and cared" for. That in itself suggests a temporary scenario. The Covid Crisis has affected most businesses unless it is deemed 'essential'; the mining industry is not immuned. Although this is definitely a setback,I do not think it is as severe as the panic sellers think. But that is their prerogative. This is an incredible coal mining asset with outstanding long term potential. Metallurgical coal (80% of their assets) is here to stay for self-evident reasons. To those who feel Morien should have diversified, please think again. To purchase another significant cash flowing royalty, Morien would have to leverage substantial debt. Can you imagine where we would be today carrying debt given the circumstances? Morien correctly decided to wait until Donkin acquired long wall capabilities before taking their plunge. Morien's prudence and caution has been spot on. It has 3.1 million dollars in their coffers to endure this hiccup and NO debt. Investors may have to their dividends suspended for a couple of quarters, but Morien has more than enough capital to survive. It is a royalty play without much overhead. The panic selling today accounted for about 5% of the total float but will be a golden opportunity for others to buy an extremely depreciated share price. All IMHO MS

The chart was to show the compression the inside and outside days and the 2 days together and inside day and today and outside day.

Usually always precedes a strong move.

And yes it could be on and I could be way wrong.

Kapex could be up instead of down...but you don't thin so.
If you say you think it's going to fall like a rock ...how could you think it would possibly be up? Is that, if it doesn't
fall it might/will be up...if it doesn't go up it will be down?

And what does fall like a rock mean 20 50 100 500 1000?

I think we all know that it could easily retest the lows
 ...anything to add to that?

Gold's definitely going to fight a torrid USD rally, but think they both go up together - maybe an initial dip from the precious, but won't last long. USD is the stern of the Fiat-Titanic before its final descent into the deep - waive to Leo/Jack on the way down

I bought a crap load of Morien Resources today, symbol is APMCF. They have a small float with around 50 million shares, only around 900 shareholders, and were buying their own shares back aggressively.

They had to close the mine down today due to rock fall and Corona impact. The news is reporting it is permanent, but falsely. It may be a while, as they cannot get in the American experts because of Corona to get a new mine plan figured out how to shore up the ceiling, but there is similar precedent on other mines, and to think they will not get the biggest coal mine in Canada going again, is highly doubtful to me. The shares are extremely cheap today, and maybe for a while, presenting a very unique opportunity. They were figured they should be 5-10 times higher by NAV, and that was before the fall in price today, and to one day pay a steady dividend anywhere from a range of 7 to 25 cents depending on a few factors for 30 years or more and that it would commence this year. Commencement may be delayed, but the resource is fully intact and may be just an expert opinion away from being solved.

LIke I said, very bad news today, but I think will be temporal, so a unique opportunity to pick up future retirement money stupidly cheap. May not last long. First is an article from today's event, second is the CEO presenting recently on the blue sky potential. I thought I would share....

this is not that hard. gold turned on 3-20 when it did not trade lower than 3-16 low wash out. since then it is up for 9 days from 1450 to the 1640 area. this is not that hard.

try shorting 20,000 contracts of $ers with all the bull shit going on. gold and silver are tiny mkts.

It could happen. I sold out near the first top in late Aug/early Sept. and had to set a buy point somewhere. I've averaged back in over the last 2 weeks generally on down days. Maybe I'm too early and I'll have to ride out the drop and lick my wounds. I would kick myself even more though if I failed to repurchase and had to pay up. You've made some very good calls based upon sentiment. There certainly is room for the POG to fall back to the 50 or even 200 day ma. But at some point the shares have to begin outperforming the metal. The GDX:$GOLD ratio has re-tested the 2016 lows. From this point forward I sit tight. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I do value it.

Jewelry made from paper gold is kind of tacky and not durable or popular. Current pricing is for paper gold. Real metal is unobtainable at any price, so buyers and sellers of the real stuff are sitting on their hands doing nothing without any clue as to what the price should be. No firm price means no price discovery and no trade.

I am starting to think this virus stuff was designed to cover the Feds BS regarding the banking system and is more fake than reality . We get flu season every year and what I have been reading is that the tests cannot specify what type of flu people are getting just that it is a flu. So this coronavirus is a cover up for how the Fed reserve has screwed us the common person and enriching the wealthy 1/2 percent. Also they are seeing how they can control the masses using fear. I think we need to be asking questions and please do not take any flu shots because I am hearing bad things regarding them also. Big Pharma is another problem we are now having. Biggest problem is government in bed with big business. This package does not help the small business just the to big to fail crap. We need to ask hard questions and demand the truth before they destroy what is good about society and start WWIII with all their lies. Also the market manipulation is now blatant and we need to demand free markets.

/m27418....Frus....most are using June Gold as their "spot" basis....while it's not exorbitantly higher than the active April contract (which is comprised of mostly shorts at this point), it does kick the per/oz price up about 3 bucks before the 8% premiums are added on....Now, as has been explained on here, those huge and abnormal premiums (normally 2+%) are a result of the LMBA catching a group of traders short as the coronavirus pricing took off....And, while they're paying a steep price for trying to work the system (sell NYC gold / buy London), it's hurting the retail consumers just as much....Throw in the shutdown of Credit Suisse, Pamp, and several other major refiners/producers, and it becomes a real clusterf--k until things come back to some semblance of normalcy....probably two months from now, maybe sooner....

Part 2 has a ton of other topical food for thought for those with open minds.

I am sure gold will have something to say about this if true in the coming weeks.

The local PA government asked Shell to shut down construction on their $5 billion cracker plant because the local hospitals only have 40 ventilators for the work force of 8000 if they get the woo tang flu.
Most of the Utica & Marcellus gas wells were for this project just waiting to spit it out so it will more than likely go somewhere else suppressing any price hikes.

PS: When and where is the "March to prevent the spread of Covid-19"? I know some folks I'd like to send invitations.

PPS: I've used a magic marker to put a big "minus" on my forehead since I tested negative on my Covid-19 test. I think it's gonna be attractive to wimmin once I get outa the house. My wife is pretty pissed about flaunting my status to other wimmin, but hid her anger well by asking, "Did you eat the last piece of bacon? That was MY bacon!" But, she's pretty happy about the negative, particularly the get-out-of-the-house part.

US mint price for one oz double eagle is $2175
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/theres-n...cal-supply-problems

Oddly, a gold analyst, Ole Hanson stated in response to the shortages of gold physical supply in the futures markets: “There is plenty of gold in the market, but it's not in the right places. Nobody can deliver the gold because we are forced to stay home." The explicit function of COMEX warehouses is to store the physical gold that backs gold delivery associated with gold futures contracts. Consequently, why is the physical gold “not in the right places” and in these warehouses, as if it is stored where it is supposed to be stored, and the data is accurate (1.76M registered AuOzs and an additional 6.98M eligible AuOzs in COMEX warehouses as of 26 March 2020), there should be no physical gold shortages to meet physical demand right now? Did Mr. Hanson, in his statement that gold is “not in the right places” unwittingly reveal that the reported COMEX warehouse data is fraudulent?

Secondly, some would suggest that ever since the COMEX mandate that paper gold could be used to close out physical delivery requests through EFP (Exchange For Physical) transactions by Exchange Rule 104.36 enacted on February 18, 2005, which allowed for the substitution of gold ETFs for physical gold, that no physical shortage of gold could ever result.

Since paper was allowed to replace physical, could not bullion banks just literally “paper over” any physical supply deficit? And if the answer to this question is yes, then why is the COMEX experiencing physical shortages of gold right now? Well, as I explained in an article that I published on my news site in June 2011, in which I explained how EFP transactions operate (which you can read here), “the Related Position [Physical] must have a high degree of price correlation to the underlying of the Futures transaction so that the Futures transaction would serve as an appropriate hedge for the Related Position [Physical].” Consequently, since there has been a massive price decoupling between physical and paper gold prices, perhaps this price decoupling has enabled the underlying holder of longs in gold that asked for physical delivery to reject any EFP transaction, since there is no longer a “high degree of price correlation” between paper and physical gold, and to insist on physical gold delivery with no substitution for this request. And this rejection of EFPs and EFS (exchange for swaps) as acceptable behavior is perhaps what is causing the physical gold supply problems in the futures markets right now.

Uranium news, could be bullish for uranium

First Energy is now saying they will not close their nuclear plants, looks like some kind of subsidy.

The only reason I would keep nuclear power is because if we would ever get another dark for 365 days solar would be useless. There could be lots of wind because some scientists said that what did Egypt in was volcano eruption in Nicaragua. Even those Aztecs mentioned a dark year on some stones. Nukes work good in the dark.

Pyrite I'm with you on the silver supply is there.

Ohio was never known for a sunny vacation but yet they built solar power plants to accomodate facebook and others whose commit to build was dependent on green energy. You need more panels (lots of silver)to get west coast results.

Pyrite you remember what happened in the 70z when Dick Nixon told Mexico to spray their weed crops with paraquat and the price of pot went from $35 an ounce to $100z in no time. That's what happens when there is a supply shortage. Ask Bill & Hillary they'll tell U the same thing. How do you think she got that fat?

yeah, I agree...silver's gonna take off soon, although demand will certainly slow

Silver's swell.

I'm beginning to think that silver is never coming back against gold, or even the flimsy old fiat dollar
for that matter. On the investor side, people have stubbornly stayed away from stacking silver and probably
due the nasty fingerburning received in 2010. On the industrial side, no prizes for guessing what happens
to demand in our new Covid-19 world.

But it's the supply side that has changed the market. No matter what the idiot permabull silverbugs may claim,
there is an glut of silver and the physical oversupply is from the big base metals miners, e.g those with
massive skarn or porphyry copper deposits in the Andes who suddenly started paying attention to their rather
minor by-product credit a few years ago when the streamer companies offered serious money for something they'd
taken for granted until then. Take for example the stream deal between Teck and Franco-Nevada on Teck's
attributable 22.5% of silver production from the massive Antamina mine in Peru. FNV paid $610m upfront and
then pays 5% of spot for Teck's part of silver production. In 2019, Antamina produced 15,849,298 oz silver
(not equivalent, nothing to do with the other metals in produces in very large quantities, only silver),
so FNV got 3,566,092oz of silver and paid an average of 81c per ounce.
Not a bad business and to keep to one year and one country, Southern Copper produced 5.63m oz silver from its
copper operations in Peru (Cuajone and Toquepala) and Chinalco produced 6.65m oz silver from Toromocho in Peru.
There you have millions of ounces of silver that would not have come out the ground if it weren't for the main
base metals targets of each mine and as the cost basis for the big miners is basically zero, they were
naturally interested when other businesses came knock on the door three or five years ago offering very large
cheques for that silver (in fact, 2/3rds of all silver produced now comes as a by-product credit to another
metal, normally copper, gold or zinc). In other words, the irony is that Wheaton Precious Metals has poisoned
its own chalice, but who was to know back then, right Randy?

The Gold/Silver Ratio has absolutely refused to bend to the will of the half-brained "it's always been like that"
calls from those with feet of clay and is now edging 100X (in fact it touched the number on Monday evening).
Silver is not gold and we know through experience that it will now sell off hard into an industrial downturn
(and gold will not). If your silver exposure is via juniors that struggle to turn a profit at $17/oz Ag or
is an exploreco with a thin looking treasury, it's time to run away now. Silver is for speculative risk trades,
not for times when you batten down the hatches.

West Virginia was the last state to have a confirmed case although being surrounded by states with virus. And has many fewer cases than it's neighbors. Wonder if there is a relationship to WV being home to the National Radio Quit Zone? Even at the NW side of the state in Morgantown, away from the NRQZ cell service is severely limited. https://greenbankobservatory.org/about/national-radio-quiet-zone/

Woodrow Wilson never made a public statement about the pandemic. Never. And because of the war he had created a propaganda machine whose architect wrote, "The force of an idea lies in its inspirational value. It matters very little if it is true or false." So to keep morale up during the war, the government lied. National public health leaders said things like, "This is ordinary influenza by another name." They tried to minimize it. As a result, more people died than would have otherwise. Also, since people very quickly learned this was not ordinary influenza -- people could die in 24 hours, symptoms could be as terrifying as bleeding from the nose, mouth, eyes and ears -- and because they could not trust what they were being told, real terror gripped some people, so much so that society itself began to fray and it became everyone for himself. That's different from most disasters, when people come together to help each other. In a very few places, like San Francisco, leaders were blunt about the threat. Those cities functioned much better. The community did come together.

American Medical Association has weighed in on Trump's health care package: The Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!” The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and the Internists claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow. The Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter.” The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no. In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington.

from Winston's link...I find this particularly disturbing after having
done a good bit of research over the possible effects of EMF radiation.

“Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD and Ph D, founder of Sophia Health Institute has specialized in auto immune disorders and the sequence of toxicity especially as it relates to electromagnetic fields. He recently described how the mortality rate for SARS was 10% and that the current coronavirus death rate was .5 – 2%; with the highest mortality rate in the country located at Evergreen Health in Kirkland, Washington. Klinghardt explained that ten patients were diagnosed with the virus with six dying for a mortality rate of 60%, speculating about a possible 5G interaction activating the electromagnetic field. Kirkland is one of five cities in the country “firmly wired” for 5G as Evergreen Health is the only hospital in country wired and broadcasting for 5G.” More than Just a Virus Note Wuhan China the epicenter of this Pandemic is the first FULLY WIRED 5G city in China, IMO this 5G toxicity is going to kill a LOT of us in MANY ways. Good thing there is NO 5G Mortality TESTING or we might be concerned.
