Terrence invites you to his room in the morning to talk. He doesn’t say about what, but as soon as you enter, it becomes obvious-- he has the necronomicon sitting out.

“Terrence, I know what you’re up to!” You accuse. “Y-You’re trying to kill someone, aren’t you?!” You shout. “The N-Necronomicon isn’t worth it!”

Terrence looked at the floor. “Looks like you found me out…” He sighs. “But you can’t stop me. The only thing preventing me from getting Spark back is if you kill me.”

The words came out of nowhere. You hesitated.

“Y-You’re lying, aren’t you?!”

“Come on now, Daddy ‘Mo. This isn’t the time for trivialities. Kill me. You’ll get your chance to escape.”

All you can hear is your heart beating. The truth is apparent.

“Terrence...there’s no way you can make me do that to you.” Tears pour down your eyes. “A-And if we’re really friends you shouldn’t be lying to me about this!”

“Hmph.” Terrence looks away. “There’s nothing to discuss. I...I can’t live with myself after what happened to Spark. There’s nothing left for me, but there are still infinite possibilities for him. For you. It’s selfish but...I want you to kill me. I want you to give him back his life. I want you to be the hero you’re meant to be.”

You think about it. You’re the Ultimate Superhero. Terrence is counting on you. He needs you. And yet…

You don’t respond to him. You turn tail and run out of the room.

[~2:00 PM]
You and Sachiko begin to carry bags of refuse wood away from the poker room. Sachiko does her best to keep up with you, but, although you aren’t exactly Dale levels of bulky, you are somewhat stronger than Sachiko. You slow down to accommodate her, but even still, she’s having trouble keeping up with you. At no point do you discuss the conversation you had with Sir Terrence with Sachiko. It just… well, it wouldn’t be right. Besides, it seems like perhaps he’d abandoned his plans.

You end up having to wait for her at the Trash Disposal, and together, you dump the wood into the receptacle, and hear it tumble down into the furnace room. You take several trips after that, each the same-- grabbing some trash that Sir Terrence had placed outside in the Casino Floor room. You lose sight of Sachiko several times, but

You lose sight of each other several times, and you notice that Claudius seems to be entranced with a slots machine that he keeps playing. It is obnoxiously loud.

“A body has been discovered!” Monokuma’s voice shouts over the speaker system. “Students, please make your way to the Poker room!”

Momo, Dale and Akio decide to look around the presumptive crime scene: the Poker Room. Akio searches the body, and removes Sir Cardor’s helmet.

“Hey-- Does this look like he got conked on the head to you?” asked Akio, pointing to a sizeable bump with significant bruising on Sir Cardor’s head.

“Oh huh-- look at that-- that seems right...” Momo replied dully, not getting too close to the body.

A more thorough search doesn’t reveal anything else telling, and before long, they’ve moved on to other endeavors.

Momo, seemingly on a whim, jumps up on the covered table, and inspects the vent. “This looks like it leads to one of the Animatronics rooms… seems… odd…” he opens up the vent grate, and pulls out something. Wordlessly, he hops down and lays it out: The Necronomicon. A glyph had lit up.

“W-what’s that doing here?” asked Dale. “And what does that glowy thing mean?”

Quite uninvited, Monokuma appears, as if from nowhere. “That’s a greeeeeeeeeeeat question!” he said, enthusiastically. “Once a name has been written in the Necronomicon, the book will close and become unopenable until the ritual is complete!”

“So…” Akio asked incredulously, “... it’ll just never open again?”

“Welllllllllllll...” said Monokuma. “Not quite-- after some amount of time, the magic will leave the book and it’ll be openable again, even if the ritual is never completed.”

Dale shook his head. “It’s just like a timed magnetic lock. Don’t listen to him!”

“Puhuhuhuhuhu….” Monokuma laughed. “If you saaaaaaaay soooooooooo!”

Just as abruptly, he left.

Dale shook his head. “Look, the book’s important; I just don’t buy that it’s magic. Anyway, take a look at this…”

He indicated the padding on the door opposite where they found Terrence and Penelope. There seemed to be a small notch in the padding where it had been displaced.

“Weird, huh?” Dale asked.

Just then, Monokuma’s voice came up on a speaker nearby. “Students, the class trial will begin momentarily! Please make your way to the ground floor elevators!”

You remember what was strange about the mess in the foyer. Everything was slightly moved from where it used to be, with most objects piling to the front of the room. Not quite typical of an earthquake where everything just shakes...

Your NG Code reads, “Stating the name of your non-hero alter-ego.”

Dallas comes to your room Thursday night. You think he’s on a fool’s errand, but you let him in. He comes in with a notepad and sits down.

“Alright.” he says. “Please state your name for the record.”

Well, this is awkward.

“U-um…” you stutter. “Don’t you already know who I am?”

“Uh… yeah?” he says, confused. He stops writing. “ But I need you to answer the questions rather than me. So-- gimme your name.”

“Uh… you can just write down the name I gave you.” you say, hoping it’s enough.

“No…” he retorts. “Why are you trying to impede my investigation?!? Are you actually the mastermind?!?”

You can’t believe how unlucky you are.

“Look, I think you should go.” you say.

When it is clear that you are answering no more questions, Dallas leaves. But not before saying, “You better be at the foyer tomorrow, where I tell everyone your ass is the mastermind!”

Terrence and Momo are assigned to investigate the foyer.

“Alright, Daddy ‘Mo! Let’s crack this case wide open!”

“I t-told you to stop calling me that…”

The first peculiar thing you find is a bullet hole in the wall.

“Oh dear…” Momo moved his finger around it. “I hope nobody was on the other side…”

“‘’Mo, I have a theory.” Terrence rubbed his chin.

“Yeah, what’s that?”

“Perhaps the killer simply covered themselves in black paint, and then used that as their cover in the darkness?”

“...let’s put a pin in that theory for now.” Momo dodged the subject.

There was some blood spatter on the carpet, as well as a rock with a bloodstain on it nearby. Nothing else seemed to be particularly telling.

Shortly later, everyone gets called for the class trial.

You are Momo aka “The Masked Momo”, The Ultimate Superhero

You have never been a popular person. It’s not that you’re a bad guy, per se, but you’ve never really wanted to talk to or be around others. And they resented you for it. Except for your little brother. He’s been the most important person in your life for a while now. It was his love that drove you to become your alter ego-- you never cared who you helped along the way. But every time you wear the mask, you find that you’re treated differently. But it was the look in your brother’s eye when talking about the other “you” that made everything worth it.

One day, you happen upon a young man who had fainted in the middle of a busy street. You quickly duck into a phone booth, don your mask and costume, and rush out to save him. But as you approach him and attempt to rouse him, you see that he was conscious the whole time! He sprays you in the face with something, and the whole world goes dark. The last thing you see is his face, in particular a large patch of discolored, scarred skin.
