I am reading the book "The Lost Children" by Mary MacCracken and it has 242 pages. Im on page 60.
The setting is in New Jersey. Mary was on a school trip to an institute where they have children who are emotionally disturbed. She is so interested in that she asked to volunteer. She person who runs the institute told her she could volunteer and assign her to a teacher who she can follow and learn from. It turns out that the teacher she gets assigned does not want a volunteer because she thinks that she would do a terrible job. But Mary proves her wrong.

I am The Hunger Game by Suzanne Collins, it has 374 pages and I stopped on page 167. My book is set in the future sometime and it is in America but it has a new name. The setting is relevant because it is in America, where all of us live, they fight for food and survival. They must participate in the Hunger Games to get fame and food. Katniss lives in the area around the midwest, like us.

I am reading This Is What Happy Looks Like and stopped on page 184 of 404.
My book is set in Henley, a small town in Maine. Here Ellie lives, and then when Graham, comes to town everything is changed. This is a fast paced novel, with little minor details and things. The book is set in the present, with almost everyone having a smartphone. The place is key, as it fits and describes the characters. In fact, the only reason Graham and Ellie meet is because the town is so small and cozy. Graham comes to town to film his latest movie as Henley is perfect, a small town where everyone knows everyone and it has lots of unique places and scenery.

I'm currently reading "The Doomsday Box," by Herbie Brennan. I'm on page 76 out of 328. The story actually starts out in the UK. Then they main characters are assigned to a mission in Montauk, New York. This setting is important because it is where Project Rainbow first took place, where they ripped a hole in space-time. Although, it was closed and is now about to open, but something triggered the alarm creating suspicion that something is in there. Although, there wasn't, and then the black death was released into the population of New York. This is important because now they need to stop the spread of these very deadly disease or it could kill off almost all of the population in the immediate area.

I am reading Conjured by Sarah Beth Durst, there are 358 pages, I stopped on page 213.

Conjured is taken place in multiple settings, in modern times. Most is taken in the agency, where agents ask Eve, the main character questions. It is relevant because upon asking the questions Eve gets visions, and blacks out. Which cause her to lose her memory and forget where she is. The other main setting is a tent at a circus. The tent is very important, as at is what half of the story is taken place. It is where the magician, the killer, kills his victims, and Eve is the only survivor. Which is why she is interrogated at the agency.

I am reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. I stopped on page 442 of 487 pages.

My book is placed in an dystopia. It is supposed to be a futuristic place. There are factions that the people are in based off of honesty, bravery, selflessness, e.c.t.. I imagine the settings different in each faction. The dystopia is one huge area with borders. Since the factions are different in personality, there is a lot of diversity. The setting, being like this, is relevant to the story because the diversity starts a war. Each faction makes the faction act and think like THAT faction is supposed to think. So obviously there will be a conflict, and that conflict turns into a war.

I am reading From Ashes to Life by Lucille Eichengreen. It has 214 pages, I finished it today.
The story I am reading takes place in multiple significant areas. Lucille is shipped from concentration camp to concentration camp. The camps were in Auschwitz, Bergen- Belson, and a few more. Upon the liberation of the camps Lucille found her way to France and eventually to the U.S. After spending 50 years i the U.S. she finally had to courage to go back and visit Germany and Poland where she had grew up but experienced so many bad memories. Each place Lucille was at represented a different time in her life. From the bad to the good Lucille faced everything head on.

WHERE & WHEN is the story you are currently reading SET and how is that relevant to the book? Again, remember to refer to PLACE and TIME. Write at least 6-8 sentences.

Im reading Pulse by Patrick Carman and I'm on page 299. In my book, Pulse, the setting is about 50 years in the future. Its set where the world has gone through some global warming changes causing millions of deaths. The world is now divided into states, or portions of land where humans live. most of the land is left untouched, left from humans.

Today I finished the 134 page novel called "no problem". The setting of this story is in a city in Canada around the 90's. Setting plays an important role in this novel, because the main character Curt usually walks around after baseball games. The time this takes place in is also important, because there are no cell phones. Curt is always trying to talk to his girlfriend Leah, but can only call her via landline. Lack of cellphones also hurts Curt's communication with his friends and family. If cell phones were present, I think Curt's relationship with his parents would be different.

I am currently reading Pushing Perfect. It has 333 pages and I stopped on page 265. This story takes place in Marabella, California during present day. It is important that it takes place in California because the main character wants to go to college on the East Coast. This creates a divide between her and her parents who want her to stay in California. The town is also small enough to where everyone is familiar with everyone else. This plays a huge role in how the mystery of the story plays out. It is also relevant that it is taking place during present day. The use of technology and the availability of it drive the story on.

I am reading Once by Morris Gleitzman, and am on page 133 of 161.
The story of this book is set in Poland in 1942. This is in the midst of WW2 and the Holocaust. Because the book takes place during this time, Jews are being killed and rounded up into ghettos. Felix is a young boy who, while searching for his parents, comes across a young girl whose parents were killed by Nazis. Both of them are forced into a ghetto, where they are saved by a man named Barney who lets them hide in his cellar. Because this story is set during the Holocaust, and the children are Jews, you know that it's not going to be very happy.

I am currently reading Pretty Tough by Liz Tigelaar. I am on page 141 of 246. The setting in my book is high school, all four years in California. It helps with picturing where they are and what they look like better. If you didn't know the state the book took place you would be very confused on why they surf and have sun tan lines constantly and hallways outdoors. If you didn't know it was high school you would have to conclude that from the little talk about college essays to get in. The book is a lot easier to understand when you get where everything is coming from and not trying to figure it out along the way. The place also explains why some of the girls are so impressed with the school building and the houses even though they only leave like an hour away from them.

i am reading Revealed by Margaret Peterson Haddix, and I stopped on page 380 out of 438.
Setting is basically all my book is about. Throughout this book, Jonah has visited 1932, and the 21st century multiple times to try and fix time. In the beginning of the book, Jonah was in the time period where Charles Lindbergh flew over the Atlantic Ocean. Towards the middle of the book, Jonah was sent back to when he was born in the 21st Century. During the time, he was present both as a teenager and as a baby in an airport that his plane crash landed . This book has everything to do with time because anything that happens in the past will affect the future.
