I am reading The Nazi Hunters, it has 256 pages and I am on page 60. At the book fair I saw a book called Enemy Above. Several Chicago school districts have banned the use of clown masks and suits for costumes. The ban will also happen to neighboring school districts as well as others across the state. Local school will be adding extra security cameras and have the local sherif patrol the main streets closest the school. The schools will be doing these things as soon as the new school year begins. I personally think they are taking this thing too far, yes there might be people doing wrong things dressed as clowns but most are just to watch people run In fear.

I finished reading Shredder. I thad 377 pages.
Some books I saw in the library were two assassins creed novels. Assassins creed is a very popular video game. I play it a lot so I thought the it was cool. The article I read was about clown costumes getting banned from some schools in the chicago area. No clown costumes being allowed on halloween, honestly, I think is a great idea, because you never know what crazy kid might actually hurt somebody.

I finished reading Hunger and I am now reading Meet Me at the River, I'm on page 1 of 376.
I saw The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series at the book fair and I've always liked the stye.
Schools in Chicago are banning clown costumes from their halloween school events. The recent online pandemonium has caused many people to be afraid of clowns and now the schools in Chicago are taking action in preventing the fear. I didn't entirely agree with the Chicago schools for banning clowns, but I can see their reasons for doing it. They don't want people to be afraid at their events and some kids playing pranks could scare people away. I think that they made the best decision that they could in their situation.

I am reading The Revenge of Seven by Pittacus Lore I am on page 98 out of 371. I saw The Crown which is the last book in the Selection series, I have read the other books so I would really like to read that one. I read the article about how Halloween used to be about finding love. They had many different games that were supposed to reveal something about your love life. Many of them resembled games we play today. They used to play a game that was like bobbing for apples, but the apples would hang from the ceiling. They would also throw apple peels over their shoulder because the peels were supposed to take the shape of their future spouse's initials. They also had one that if you said a very specific poem your future spouse would appear in the mirror which sounds a lot like the bloody Mary superstition.

I am reading Faceless, It has 341 pages and I stopped at page 105. I took pictures of the books that interested me and hopefully I'll get to read them. Some of the books that stood out to me were Girl Stolen, Keep me in Mind, On the Fence, and The fill in boyfriend. The article about the clowns was basically talking about how they banned clown costumes due to the rising crisis with people dressing up as clowns and harassing or even hurting others. They've done this at schools just recently due to rise in police reports. It makes sense that they would ban clowns who were practically advocating harassment. But I believe they should have only banned scary clowns, not happy ones. I think it was kind of stupid, if you want to be a clown you should just be a clown.

Im reading the throne of fire by Rick Riordan. I stopped on page 116. I saw the peculiar children series, I would love to read the second and third book of that serious that look like a fantastic read and the Ms. Marvel book look like a good read too.
In the article I read it was saying how that All Hallows eve was actually a way to find your partner for life. Some games like the snap apple game, where two people tried to take a bite out of a suspended apple. The first would be married first. This events usually took place in America. These activities were supposedly supposed to show how your marriage and love life would go.

I am currently reading it's not summer without you by Jenny Han it has a total of 275 pages and I stopped on page 115. The distance between us caught my eye and Ms. Peregrine they had good story lines and I want to read them. Halloween long time go wasn't always about the gory and bloody creatures it was about love, a century ago it was about love and parlor games and love fortunes. Cupid was shown more than your black cats and witches crazy right? Snap apple was a big american tradition game back then the first to succeed the first to get married. But women would be known as "witches"about their beauty and later the holiday it started fading away.

Woman would plays these game to find a mate or to learn if there relationship would last.

(Happy Halloween to you too!)

I started and finished Edward Scissorhands: Parts Unknown today. The book doesn't have page numbers, but it's 5 chapters long and it's just a little graphic novel.
I really want to get the new PJO book, and the LOZ comic looked pretty good too.
I chose the Clown Costume article. Some schools in Chicago have banned clown costumes being worn at school functions because of the recent attention media has been giving "creepy clowns." Police around the US have started warning people about "clowning" and the consequences that it has on communities everywhere. The whole "creepy clown" thing has been ruining business for actual clowns, and has been mixing hysteria in with people around America. PTA members and school principle's have been sending out emails and making the student's parents aware. Some caution the students to not depict clowns at all, while other say that clowns are acceptable, just not scary ones.

I am currently reading Zero Night By: Mark Felton. This book has 262 pages and I am currently on page 86. At the book fair I saw a book that was based on a young boy tunneling his family out of Nazi occupied Germany. I believe the title was "The enemy above". I chose to read the article about Pokemon Go and Halloween. This article explained that anyone still playing the Pokemon Go app has an increased opportunity to capture select Pokemon. This is taking place all over the world for anyone that wants to take part in this adventure. Along with capturing rare Pokemon users will also ear an increased about of poke candies for each capture that they make. this event is squealed to last from the 26th of October to the 1st of November. I think that this is a very good way for the app to become some what popular again. Ever since school started this app has gone down hill so I think that this might get people a little more interested in the app.

I am still reading Im Not Her by Janet Gurtler, I am on page 147 out of the 288 pages. One book that I saw that interested me today was The Boy In The Stripped Pajamas and the other one was The Boy at The Top of The Mountain. Clown costumes are banned in some schools this Halloween because of the recent scares that have been taking place around the country. Kids are being asked to not wear clown costumes to school Halloween parties because of the clown sightings. 13 elementary schools at Community Unit School District 300 are permitting clown costumes. No one is against this rule other then the president of the WorldClown Association because there has been a lot of negative publicity with clowns.

I am reading Unlikely Warrior by George Rauch. I am on pg. 30 of 316

On book really caught be eye, it was called "The Enemy Above", it looks like a very good book and its about WWII.

The article I read was about how clown costumes were banned from some school halloween events. In the Chicago area, many schools have banned clown costumes. The schools have sent out guide lines saying that no clown costumes of any sort will be allowed on school grounds during halloween. One of the main reasons they have done this is because over the summer people have been dressing as clowns and threatening to do dangerous stuff to people or places. These incidents went crazy on the world of Social Media. Many people took these threats seriously. The people who caused the banned on the costumes say that this is just a precaution and they don't want anyone getting harmed. If anyone is seen wearing clowns stuff or make any threats about anything, the police are called. Some schools are even closing for Halloween just to be safe. Halloween is the only time of year that you can dress up as a clown with out getting arrested.

I am reading Glass SWord by Victoria Aveyard and I'm on page 43 of 444.
I saw Glass Sword at the book fair and I decided to check it out.
I read the article that is about how Halloween use to be about finding love. Cupid was even a common symbol around Halloween such as cats, bats, and ghosts are today. A game that they played was Snap Apple. This was wear apples dangled from string and the first to bite the apple was the "first to marry". Love was associated with Halloween around the 1940s.

I am reading Cut Me Free by J.R. Johansson and I'm on page 67 of 295.
I'm interested in the books Salt in the Sea and The Boy at the Top of the Mountain.
I decided to read Clown Costumes banned. It's about how clown costumes in Chicago schools aren't allowed to be worn because of how people act in them. They aren't allowed because people go around harassing people in them and scaring people. They had threats already in the Chicago area and on halloween it'll be worst so they don't want kids going around the school doing that. For the people that don't go around harassing people in clown costumes are mad about this because they're there to make kids laugh.

I am reading Because of Low by Abbi Glines. There are 290 pages in this book, and today I stopped on page 45. I saw a couple books at the book fair today that interested me. One of them was called It's not Me, It's You. The other was called Girl, Stolen. I actually think I'e read this before but I think I was like a sixth grader so I don't really remember it at all and I'd like to read it again. I chose "Clown Costumes Banned From Some School Halloween Celebrations". This is about the people who have been dressing up as clowns and harassing people. They are banning this because it would be hard to tell who is truly just dressing up as a clown to be funny or because that's what they want to be dressed as, or if they are actually someone who is in disguise as a clown that will harass or scare the students. I'm honestly not surprised at all to hear that they are banning clown costumes. This has been a major topic of controversy and I think it's safe to just not allow people to dress up as clowns so no one gets hurt or upset.
