I am reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, I am on page 150 out of 349 pages.

This book is a flash back to January 3rd 1859 to about 1900's. The settings in this book change from the flashbacks in 1859 to the present day to what she is actually doing. The book would only be a couple chapters long if it didn't have the changes in setting all of the time. "Baby Day" is looking for the real killer that murdered her family when she was only 7 years old. In one of the flashbacks, she tells us how she was sitting in the court room testifying against her older brother, but a speacial group called "The Kill Club" believes that her brother is innocent and that the real killer is still out there. The settings in this book go all over the place and you sometimes get confused if its a flash back or present day, but as long as you take the context clues you can usually always tell.

I am reading Alex Rider Point Blank. It has 215 pages, and I am on page 84.

This book takes place in 2001 in London, England. The settings in this book change quite quickly. In the beginning he is in London, then he is told by MI6 that he has to go and live in a mansion for a week, at the country side, outside of London. After that he takes a helicopter ride to a school in France.

While I was sick I finished The Kill Order by James Dashener. The setting took place on the Earth no specific place, they were moving around and running form people most of the time. It is set on Earth after a thing called the sun flares struck and now there is a sickness that is spreading because of WICKED. The setting creates difficult situations because there is fire in certain areas still. They also have a difficult time finding food and shelter because most of the structures are not safe to go into. They go to a compound where WICKED is working and when they are there there are a lot of weapons so that adds to the action to the book. They were also placed in a berge which is a ship that their military used and the halls of it were dark and gloomy.

I am currently reading UnDivided by Neal Shusterman, which has 372 pages. Today I stopped on page 100.
In UnDivided the setting changes every chapter because the person changes every chapter. Connor is at a old antique shop in Akron, Ohio. He has to stay in a cellar with Risa, a girl named Grace, and a bunch of other AWOL unwinds. They have to stay in the smelly, small cellar all day because of the business that happens up in the antique shop above them. Levi is currently in Minneapolis, Minnesota to get some parts pirates and bring them back to the place where an old friend name Wil used to live with Una. Starky and Hayden all are staying in cave on a mountain when they are not freeing people from the harvest camps. The time of it all though happens many years later, in about 2050 or later.

I am still reading Burned. There is 531 pages and I am on page 397. The setting is present in the beginning of the book it took place in New York. Then Payton had to move to Navada, to live with her aunt J. If there was no setting it would b hard to tell where Payton goes to school and where she lives. The book would be only half the size it is now because it revolves a round the setting and the place and time. It has so much information on the setting and place. It would be hard to imagine it your head what is happening when she almost gets killed by the lion. When she is fearing about when she has to go to school. She likes living with her aunt. she wants to be close to Ethan. How far away the schools are is what she is fearing.

I am reading the book punished, it has 326 pages, and I am on page 162.

This book takes place in the 1950s. Vanessa lives in an average home, with what seems to be average parents. When she is young she lives in a neighborhood full of neighbors, when she grows older she moves out to a house in the country. This setting is relevant to the book because Vanessa suffers much abuse from her mother. Being far away from other people she no longer has neighbors to her her screams. In her old neighborhood she had a nice neighbor lady that she thought would keep her safe. In her new house she has n one, even her father is gone. She is no longer protected from her mothers abuse.

I am reading Perfect by Ellen Hopkins. The book has 622 pages, and I stopped on page 73.
The setting of my book is in in modern-day Reno,Texas, a small town that barley has convenient stores. In Reno, a lot has happened between my three books that I've read. The first book is about the use of meth, and the impact it has on a mother and her five children. The books go on with the childrens lives after meth destroyed them. Yo see, Reno is the setting for a lot of Ellen Hopkins's books because thats where she grew up. She bases all these books off a similar place with people who have reflected her life, making the books come to life.

I am reading Breathing Underwater. It has 279 pages and I finished the book today. The story didn't really give a specific place. I believe it takes place in Florida but I'm not sure. It was in a small town that was by the ocean, but I don't remember what it was called. In the beginning of the book, it started in the courtroom. It took place in the school year, so probably somewhere between August and May I would think. The author didn't really give a specific time and place.

I was reading heroes and I finished the book today.
The setting of my book was in a small town called French Town. The time frame I believe it is would be about the 1950's or somewhere in there. I am not sure exactly how the town relates back to the book by name. But It is a very calm and settle small town where many war vets and other discharged members go to live. So it is relevant because there is plenty of space there for the war vets and what not and it is calm and settle which everyone wants.

I'm currently reading the book American Sniper. This book has a total of 376 pages and today I stopped on page 368.

The book Amercian Sniper takes place in a few middle eastern countries. However, where majority of the book takes place is in Baghdad, Iraq during the early 2000's. Over the course of the book, it skips through years but where I just stopped reading it was in the year of 2005. This location correlates with my book because Chris Kyle is an American Navy Seal Sniper so he's constantly over seas. The base that they stay at is located in Baghdad, but they also travel different places.

Today I finished reading My Life Next Door which had 394 pages. The book was set in Connecticut, which is relevant because Sam's mother is the senator. On a late night driving home, Senator Reed is driving drunk with her boyfriend next to her and Sam, asleep, in the back. She hit's a man, backs the car up, and leaves the scene. That man happens to be Jase's, Sam's boyfriend, father. Sam finds out what her mother does, goes and hides it. Eventually, she takes Jase to the beach and explains what has happened. Senator Reed and Clay try to hypnotize the teens by bribing them with money. In the end, Senator Reed realizes what she did was wrong.

I am currently reading A Proud American: The Autobiography of Joe Foss. I ended on page 100, of 343 pages.

At first in the book, the story is set in rural South Dakota, just a few miles out from Sioux Falls. This is the start of his childhood and where his love for planes grows. This takes place in the 20s and 30s. Then Joe joins the Marine Corps and travels to Minneapolis for training for five weeks, then to Florida, then San Diego. This is all in 1940. Then in 1942 he receives orders to Guadalcanal, one of the bloodiest battles of the war. This is where he is at now, he describes it as a almost movie like tropical place, that has been ruined by war.
