I thought it was an excellent training and it was great to be able to share and hear ideas from others. I found this video and it reminded me of our training ... minus the press of course... https://youtu.be/CGJxEkMRYx4

Last night was a very productive training. I agree with everyone's comments and the help everyone is willing to give. It can only make us better umpires. Especially us new umps who haven't been umpiring very long. I will definitely work on eye movement & tracking the ball all the way to the catchers glove.

I like how people shared their ideas. Being able to have a room of quality umpires watching and commenting on each others form was fun. I am definitely changing my procedure on getting set up and head height.
I would also like to add how well our new umpires performed! Well done fellas...

I learned to stay square when in my stance, head hight, and following ball with eyes till completion.

The use of your eyes are the key to having great timing on every pitch or play.

Just a quick note, balls and strikes are where the money is, if you cann't get them right then the great game of baseball will not like you, the best umpires are ball and strike guys, know which ones to call and which ones not to call, just ask the people who play the game, they know. good mechanics will help you get there..
