I was thinking of ones that have a single or double shell with lobster feet. See OSC Plate 511. There is says Palissy style, old and probably English. The convention salt is pictured in the next plate. I should have looked it up instead of asking.

Nancy V: That was a convention salt. You can see them by looking in the gallery on the website. I would say the photography on that salt is outstanding. They are not as impressive in person.

Spectacular. Who is it that makes those shells with the coral and rough material--also coral?--attached?

   Mary,
I don't know about anyone else but I don't mind seeing salts more than once. It's not worth the effort to not duplicate. It takes a lot of energy to take the pics, load them and submit. Please don't stuggle. I am so glad you'Re feeling better. Being older it takes a little longer to heal. Use your energy for that.
I am amazed at how many doubles are out there. I wish more salters would post theirs.

Oh my ladies - My doubles heart is extremely happy looking at all of these - Glad the topic will go this month - I was looking through and trying to make note of which ones I have so I don't duplicate - but there are so many shown - When I can start I will just try and not duplicate what I have already posted before -- Thanks for a great morning look see -

I just LOVE this style of "doubles"... Sooo elegant !!! Can't you just see the table set with one of these set at every place setting???
Or on a breakfast tray?? I have three different crystal patterns (I won't bore you with but one)...

The open salt base... then the pepper pulls out of the base with the crystal screw top... LOVELY !!!

Jytte, You're # 181 is VERY UNUSUAL! I've NEVER SEEN a two color double! I'm wondering if that one(like my Pink&Black TP Salt combo) are results of "workers" playing around after hours?? When I get a chance I will send photo of the PB I'm referring to.
