Hi Janet. Any chance of some pictures so we can see what her collection consisted of? Also where are you located and are you willing to ship the salts if necessary? Thanks,Mary

My Grandmother Doris Foster Campbell began collecting salts on her Honeymoon in approximently 1920. I inherited her collection of nearly 100 salts with her journal descriptions. They were valued at $400 in 1983. I’m looking to sell the entire collection. Thank you.

Hello Robin! For starters, can you tell us where you are located and approximately how many salts you are looking to sell? If you are a Facebook user, I would also suggest posting your question there in the Open Salt Collectors of the World group. I'm one of the admins, so I will get you approved asap!

Can someone recommend a good place to start in trying to sell a large salt dip collection recently inherited? Is it best to try on-line or to sell in person?

Hello RJ - this is interesting! I did not know about the Excelsior pattern being a pre-cursor to Kings Crown! If you are on Facebook, I would suggest you also post there. We have a group called Open Salts: Buy, Sell or Trade which you are welcome to join. We also have a group called Open Salt Collectors of the World. That second group is focused more on sharing and not really for buying/selling. Glad you found us, and hope to see you on Facebook as well.

Hi y'all. Ive been collecting for a few years now. I'm trying to find a specific salt for sale. It
was made by Adams & co. glass. It was his excelsior pattern. I'm hoping to find a clear one (no flashing).
It is rectangular in shape and measures 1 3/4" x 2 1/2". The excelsior pattern of course later became
Kings Crown when his company was absorbed by U.S. Glass. If anyone has this salt for sale, let me
know: rjbman@comcast.net

HI! I have several salts from my grandmothers house and I'm trying to value them and/or sell them to the right person. Please let me know if you know anything about these items. There are more, but I only took a few pictures in the china cabinet. meltcoll@yahoo.com

I have 20 vintage ink blotters from the 1937 World's Fair. These feature Jefferson Island hexagon free running salt and are in a hexagon shape. I guess this was the same Jefferson Island where the mine disaster was. I'm trying to sell them for a friend who would like $2.00 each for them or best offer if sold as a total group. If interested, I'm at david.emery@twc.com

Entire collection of antique salt cellars for sale. Serious inquiries only. Hundreds of salts in this collection. I will send pictures to those serious about the collection. I do not have a price I could list. I would like to work that out between me, the seller, and you, the buyer. I have many master salts in this collection as well. I used 5000 Open Salts, a collector's guide when collecting. There are hundreds of salts from glass, to porcelain and everything in between. My email address is jemarcell3017@gmail.com.
