Start with book title and pg. #.

FOCUS ON THE AUTHOR: Answer in 8 to 10 sentences--so a couple of sentences for each question. You will probably need to use Wikipedia or Google!
Who is the author of your book? BRIEFLY--in a couple sentences- tell about his/her background (family, home, education, etc.)
What do you know about the author of this book?
What did the author have to KNOW to write this book?
What would you like to tell or ask the author if you could meet him/her?

I am reading Keeping The Moon by Sarah Dessen and I am on page 86. Sarah Dessen was born of June 6, 1970 in Illinois. She now has a husband and a daughter and they live in North Carolina. She has written many books including, Someone Like You, Just Listen, The Truth About Forever, and Along for the Ride. Sarah Dessen is an amazing author. The theme in most of her books is to just be yourself and learn how to love yourself for who you are. I think she had to have some kind of inspiration to write Keeping The Moon. If I could meet Sarah Dessen, I would tell her that she is an amazing author and that I love to read her books.

I am reading to Kill a Mocking Bird, and I stopped reading today at page. 278. The Author of this book is Harper Lee, and she was born on April 28, 1926. She was the youngest of four children from Amasa Coleman Lee and Frances Cunningham Finch. She grew up in Monroeville, Alabama, but she went to college at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. The author had to know about the Scottsboro Trials to write about this book. Her dads name is Frances Cunningham Finch, so it makes me wonder if his family was the Cunningham or Finch family in this book. I would like to tell the author that I really like the detail and effort she put into writing the trail. I like how she had the lawyer being mean to Tom Robinson because it made it feel real. What I am wondering though is why would she wait 16 chapters before she gets to the interesting meat of the book? Everything before the trial doesn't seem like it fits with the story since it's about the trail. It is a good introductory, but I would make it smaller because some people might not be interested in the book because it is uneventful in the beginning. I would tell her my opinion on these last couple sentences.

I am reading Rapture (Final Book of the Fallen Series) and I am on page 362. My author is Lauren Kate, she was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and attended a college in Atlanta, Georgia to get a degree in English Writing. She currently lives in Las Angeles with her husband in two children. What I know about her is that she is most famous for the Fallen series which I am finishing up right now. She is also famous for her first book The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove, which I am planning to read later on. To write this book, she had do look up a lot of Christian stories to tell the stories of the place where Jesus died and to set the setting of the Place of the Fall. Also, she used many different languages in the books such as latin, arabic and spanish because some of the holy sanctuaries were written in different languages. I would ask Lauren Kate how did you come up with the plot and characters of the story and did they related to anyone one you know? And if I ever would meet Lauren Kate herself in person and had something to tell her, I would have said thank you for making a book that I have really enjoyed and will keep the stories close to my heart forever.

Black Hawk Down P 67

The Author is Mark Bowden. he was a reporter for several magazines and newspapers. Among these are The Philadelphia Inquirer and Sports Illustrated.

He was a national book award Finalist for Black Hawk Down in 1999. He writes nonfiction books, another of his books is Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World's Greatest Outlaw.

The author had to know many thing about the army: tactics, special forces, special forces' tactics, vehicles, fire arms, equipment, and the history of the hunt for Mohammed Forrah Aidid. He also had to have information on the personnel. He has sources to books and Journals, and probably had to do in-depth interviews with hundreds of Ranger (they made up a large portion of the "task-force"), Deltas, ParaJumpers, and SEALS.

I would ask him how long it took for him to research the operation, and how he found out about it.

I have finished to book The Running Dream.
Wendelin Van Draanen is the author and she currently lives in California with her husband and two sons. She worked as a high school math computer science teacher before she started writing. She bases her books off of determination. Just like the book The Running Dream, Jessica is determined to get back on the track and to help her friend Rosa who has cerebral palsy experience a run. She cant run due to her condition and her legs are too weak to support her body weight. When I started reading the book I had no idea of who the author was. In order for the author to write the book The Running Dream she would of had to experienced some traumatic like in her life. Whether it had happened to her or one of her family members. If I could meet the author I would ask her why she wrote the book about someone losing their leg in a bus crash.

I am reading Stolen; I stopped on page 154.

The author of Stolen is Lucy Christopher. She has lived in three different countries and 24 different houses in her lifetime. Christopher loves visiting South Africa and riding her house, Topaz.

The author of this book, Lucy Christopher, has lived in both England and Australia. These countries base the setting for the novel, though it's fiction.

There wasn't anything the author had to learn to write Stolen since the novel is fiction.

I would like to tell Lucy Christopher that I really enjoy her writing style and how she portrays Gemma's feelings so well. Her book is easy to read in that it's interesting even if there isn't a big event happening.

I'm reading Dead Girls Don't Write Letters by Gail Giles and I'm on page 106.
The author of my book is Gail Giles she is currently married to her best friend, Jim Giles. They had only one child together his name is Josh Jakubik and he married Dawn Jakuik, which is a terrific sister-in-law. Gail and Jim have two grandsons and their names are Hunter and Chase Jakubik. What I know about the author in this book is that she likes to right very mysteries parts. That get your wanting to know more and more. Gail had to know about how they'd solve cases of deaths that they think is murders and also what it's like to have a sister-sister rivalry. I'd tell her that I love her book it's very interesting! You always want to know what's going to happen, so she keeps you hooked!

I just started the book North of Beautiful and I am on page 36. This is wrote by Justina Chen Headley. Justina Chen Headley was born in 1968. She is a Tainwanses-American ficton writer. I haven't ever read a book by Justina Chen Headley or even heard of her, however this book looked really good so I decided to read this book. Justina seems like a very educated writer. There are some higher level vocabulary in this book, as well as different information on maps. I think Justina really educated herself for the book because there is thing I didn't know about maps or the True North that are in this book. If I could meet this author I would probably tell her, she so far an amazing writer and very creative. I would also probably tell her that I like her name "Justina". I've never heard of a name like it and I think it's pretty awesome!

I finished Football Champ and started the next book in the series The Big Time. I stopped on page 45.

Tim Green was a star defensive end with the Atlanta Falcons. He went to Syracuse and was a first round draft pick. He has five children he lives with in upstate New York.
Not much I never heard of him playing but I think he was before my time of watching football.
He really got most of information from his past experiences because of being in the NFL himself. He was also a NFL commentator for Fox sports
How to put yourself out there in order to go to the big time schools. How to prepare for college in general

Today I started reading The Mark of Athena and I stopped on page 76. Rick Riordan is the author of The Mark of Athena. He was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and ended up going to the University of Texas. He lives in San Antonio with his wife and two sons. I know that Rick Riordan is a really good writer. I have always enjoyed his books, and have read a lot of them. To write the series, he has to know a lot about Greek and Roman mythology. He also has to be very creative while writing his books. I would ask him how he got interested in Greek mythology. I would also ask him out of all the books he has written, which one was his favorite.
