Ollie The Warlock has failed to soulsteal Jon the Survivalist.

Also, Lover!Castiel could at least somewhat explain that the witches didn't have one of theirs in the race and backed them with their votes. If the plan was to set-up one lover as mayor, to ensure he is less likely to be killed ...

I still kinda like my conclucion that there were too many direct votes for Castiel for this to be uncoordinated.

Witches would like to protect Castiel, to keep up the protection. So what do I see? Jon trying to steer things away from him by attacking everyone that attacks Castiel. And jas (--> #497). And NP (--> #503). Also Sneakthief, kinda.

Seeing what I want to see, though? Full list of players defending Castiel:

Jon (x)
Jas (x)
NP (x)
Sneakthief (x)

(x) = On my earlier Witchlist.

Voting tally:
Ollie: 12|2 (Jon, Republic21, Castiel, Dhulli, guljons, NP, Sneakthief, Moridin, Aekiel, 1&1is3, Jwlk, Eternity Lost, klackerz | Jwlk, Necrule, Jas)
Castiel: 2 (Tad2103, Draconian139, Ollie, Eternity Lost)

There could be a chance that Castiel is actually lovers with the priest or priest himself, though: the Priest checked Ashaya, so he'd know, without having used his mayor power -- which he then, sensibly, used to give the Priest another life. Not as good as the previous play, but, I fear, more in line with what actually going on -- that it was a mistake to let slip what he did let slip. If this is the case though, it'd be probably best to come out and clearly say he is a lover, before he is lynched. The town needs these facts to work against the Enchantress.

So, possible idea for a pro-town!Castiel that didn't drop from the stupid tree.

Castiel and XXX ended up getting choosen as lovers. Now Castiel lets slip he is lovers with the Priest, daring the witches to kill one of them to get the Priest and thus remove the protection for the Enchantress. Witches are dumb and actually do this, however, turns out Castiel has been lying, and the Priest wasn't a lover at all.

1. Lover dead.
2. Priest still alive.
3. Kill Enchantress.
4. ???
5. Profit!

Okay, still majorly annoyed that we got as close as 10 votes without mine for Ashaya. There was a definite chance to bring this to a succesfull end after klackerz voted for her. I missed it by less than a fucking hour. GAH. Would have been an awesome play (epic fail or epic win), this way it's just meh.

Well, shit happens. At least I get massive giggles out of the Thrall now having Dancer powerz :D

Anyway, the reverse of my witchlist gives me more town people than I can possibly protect tonight. Who will the witches likely kill?

Upon further inspection, it looks like Aekiel is just too obvious to be on either enemy faction, so I'll give him the benefit of doubt. If he isn't lying, then, it looks like he is the Mad Scientist:

If I were mayor I'd use its powers in conjunction with my own ability to find the scum and murder the fuck out them. Does that make me a good candidate?

More specifically, I would use the Mayor's check ability to have a look at either KaiDASH or Castiel, since I believe Sesc will be dead by the end of the day. I will use my ability to check the other one. Naturally I'm not going to say what my role is, but obviously it's an info role.

Check player with Mayor power = know Alignment. Use Scientist power = compare that Alignment with someone else, get two reads all in all.

A good plan. Should've said that sooner, Aek, I'd have supported it :(

You're dead.

This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Much of the utility of the Dancer comes from that they can drop hints about being another role

Oh, this is hilarious. Should I continue?

Well, I'm sorry I needed to sleep. Enjoy your new witch-mayor, then. I tried my very best. I'll give my real role, and then play Angel.

Well, just as I write it ... So Gila to Castiel as well. Ah, this just isn't fair. Both factions collaborating? Fighting two sides at the same time? Castiel & witches, Kai & Gila.

And I can't lobby too hard for Ashaya either, or the effect will be the reverse. Well Town, sink or swim. The Judge-Dancer gave everything he had D8

On track, I'm reasonably satisfied. Currently, it's 8:8 Castiel:Ashaya, and she can always get my vote.

Still, it remains tight as hell. I can't lose any vote ... It also looks like I won't get a full majority (12) for Ashaya. Aekiel won't change his opinion, so there remains jwlk, and maybe klackerz. Has Lost Eternity voted yet? He was in line with giving the spot to someone else than Kai and myself. Might be one of the witches, though, musn't forget that the 4@Castiel could be coincidence in names, if not in numbers.

Meanwhile, dhulli is trying to be cute and tell everyone he knows she's town without saying that. Acolyte/Priest or Scientist?

And if I'm totally wrong, and Ashaya is in fact a Witch or the Warlock, she played an epic game, and entirely deserves the spot as mayor :P

Hopefully, this post might do the trick.

When I did my voting tally, I looked at who switched their votes, for whatever reason, and who didn't. The idea behind this is, of course, that since it's likely that one of those that want to be mayor are a witch, they will get the votes from their 4 fellow witches; and they are less likely to vote for a different mayor than their candidate. The same would be true for the warlock, if he was in the race.

A town mayor would mostly get randomly moving votes, however.

So anyway, what I got was this. People who never switched their votes:

Bloc Kai: (4) Kai, Fen, Gila.
Bloc Castiel: (9) Castiel, kens, jas, Jon, Sneakthief (NP voted for himself, then moved to Castiel early).
Bloc Ashaya: (7) dhulli
Bloc Sesc: (1) Sesc

Do you see what I see?

Time for the big voting tally analysis!

Current standing (09:40):

Castiel 8
Ashaya 6
Kai 4
Me 2
Jon 1

There are 5 witches. Witches would vote for their candidate. This means that something might be gleamed from looking at which canditate has a high resp. low fluctuation in their votes. That, too, was a point in claiming my non-role, after all.

First, Kai.

He had 6 votes until I claimed. After that, 4 left him (Aekiel after lots of shilly-shally, klackerz, Guljons, Taure). This leaves a core group of only two, namely, Fen and Gila; and Gila wasn't yet on, today.

You'd think if he was a witch, he'd get more support. Especially as Castiel is quite a way ahead -- he needs to pick up momentum, else he'll lose this. So let's go with 'not a witch'. Instead, the Warlock faction looks indeed likely. Lol, it might be possible indeed that the judge is part of the Warlock faction. We don't want that, now do we? :3

Then, Castiel

Castiel is interesting, insofar, as almost no one deserted him. Kensington, for example, posted once, voted for him, and hasn't been heard of since. However, he was online, so he knows what's going on. NP first voted for himself, then soon abandoned that, and joined Castiel. After I claimed, they flocked to him. He picked up five votes: Moridin (who then switched back to Kai), Jas, Jon, tad, Aekiel and jwlk. Of those, tad and Aekiel and jwlk voted for other people first.

The following people never voted for anyone but him: Kens, (NP), Jas, Jon. That's 4 + Castiel himself = 5.

Finally, Ashaya.

She voted for herself late, only after I claimed, and then picked up the votes. Guljons came from Kai, Taure voted for Kai and me, Ollie/Bond came from my list, 1&1 came from Jon, dhulli was new. A motley collection, a sign of being town if there ever was one.

I almost fear we have found our witch :/

And I also fear I might've swapped the Warlock!mayor for a Witch!Mayor. Castiel ... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Ashaya needs to win this. Now how to get there?!

Sesc's TEMPORARY Big List Of Enemies In Capital Letters:

Witches: Castiel, Kens, NP, Jas, Jon.
Warlock: Kai, Fen, Gila (incl. Judge/Lovers).

Up next: Post cross-analysis, to see if there are similarities in my proposed factions. After that: Thoughts on how to direct people away from Castiel.

I wouldn't mind becoming judge

Hahaha, aw fuck. That wasn't supposed to be there ^_^. Probably best to not react at all, for now -- at least it looks like we're on a good way, Ashaya seems like a decent choice. Whether Kai believes I'm the judge or not doesn't matter, in the end.

Acting like you're someone else is fun :)

Ha, the town is thinking again! Yay! No more Oh-must-vote-for-Kai-because-at-this-point-no-more-options herp derp.
