If I met you in person, I'd punch you in the face.

I figured as much since the only actual protection in the game is Father Forthill. It makes very little sense to have a town role specifically designed to counter another town role.

Okay.

I thought "can only be lynched" meant I could only be killed by lynching.

EDIT: Aekiel, Thomas only hides one body from the Ectomancer. If the Ectomancer chose someone else to look at then he could find out.

I asked Riley about that. Marcone's NK can pierce every protection, even my Auction.

Also, Riley there's something nagging me about my death.

In my role it says "Cannot be killed in the night, can only be lynched".

I took that to mean cannot be killed by Marcone. I've only just remembered.

More Advice: Clarify these sorts of things.

Also, roles like Thomas Raith are bad and you should feel bad for putting it in. Being able to roleblock every night, and being limited to blocking that one role, means you effectively neuter a valuable town role until the roleblocker is dead. That's just not a good way to play the game.

RIley, is it okay if I just post the player list up? It's literally game over in the next 12 hours with zero chance for scum to win.

The best advice I can give is to just be clearer with the rules and roles. Most of the derps in this game were because people didn't properly understand what some roles could do and others couldn't. I mean, I gave you a list of a dozen questions right at the very start; that should have told you that there were some problems with the role descriptions at least. Also, priority needs to be known.

And last but not least, NEVER tell players information in the public thread. Like your last post that there are only two scum players left. That is not something the game mod should ever post. It's completely unfair to the scum factions. If you've made a mistake at some point, only tell the affected players in their own qts. Same goes for asking people to give their abilities out. We have PMs for a reason; they even pop-up when you log on to DLP.

Since this is my first Dresden game, obviously there were errors. Thank you for the criticism, I will take it into account. I will say next Dresden will be much much simpler. Any other critiques besides the obvious?

I do too. All in all this game was so heavily stacked against scum that even my blind flailing was enough to pick out some of them.

Also, the fluff shouldn't give so much away against scum (I pegged dhulli as town early on, and marked Kalas, Draconian and Lindsey all as scum, in part due to the fluff).

Ah ha! Zennith was scum! I fucking knew it!

They've systematically destroyed every scum role because of QT copy/paste and the ability to freely roleclaim.

Riley's claim of "55/45 for Town" was based purely on the amount of players in the game, not counting the fact that it's split into factions of 13 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3 vs 2 vs 1.

Town had the highest percentage chance to win by numbers already. The literal zero communication ability between scum and low kill/influence power vs the 2+ comm links, 3 known roles, mass role-claims, and QT C/P made it near impossible for any single scum faction to win.

Town has free kill ability while scum needs to eliminate 22 players on average. Making it very heavily biased in favor of town.

Hell, the scum ended up lynching their own teams more often than not and had no way to really defend against it.

Riley, some things you could improve on for Dresden style games:

Don't remove scum communication with this many factions. Yes, there are better powers, but we're also fighting off 22+ enemies instead of the usual 75%.

Give the priority list up and technical up front in role descriptions. Most of my silence choices in this hinged on how mechanics worked. Lots of player actions also hinged on this.

Do not remove constant scum kill power. Lynching + Blackstaff every night kill + 2 protects = no way to break even for scum. Scum can't kill/convert people fast enough to keep up.

Do NOT allow QT C/P or let Blackstaff astral through it. Stupid BS amounts of plays happened because Stojil could still freely interact through Aekiel without the threat of Death, especially once Merlin + Forthill were on the ball covering him.

Why oh why did Ashaya have to kill me? I wasn't under any suspicion.

I think town are overpowered in this game. If you give scum communication, then I think it would be about 50/50 town/scum.

It takes the same amount of time to kill a vamp as it does to seduce a human.

You realize that Kalas has been dead for the last 2 days, don't you?

EDIT: WTH? Lara has delayed kills on Vamps?
