I would say so, Douglas! I think the ones with the metal wheel are fairly uncommon....I think. Others who are much more knowledgeable than me may weigh in.

Due to their size are these master salts or individual salts? And other than being very scarce, are they of interest to collectors?

Wheelbarrow, vertical rib sides, 1891, Adams, H&J 4679, Smith # 356-4-1. I have two of these and would appreciate any information. As the only information I have is from Salty Comments February 1997 number 57 issue. The wheelbarrow is on the Salty Comments news letterhead.

Hi I just got off the phone with David Salazar. He would have to see the piece or the Hallmark to tell for sure but to his knowledge since Jim Lundberg's death all Lundberg pieces are signed Lundberg Studio with a date. He has never known off a piece signed Lundberg Glass Art. Another piece of information Lundberg has one person that does the signatures so if you can find another piece from 1999 you could compare the signatures. Hope this helps. Lundberg Studio has also rebuilt there show room in Davenport. Time for a trip down to this area.
Thanks Mary for the package it came yesterday. Sarah

Thanks Sarah - It is dated 1999 - The signature is very small and quite faint - Totally unable to get a picture - I was hoping you still had "contacts" in higher places - lol

Mary as far as I know Lundberg signed there glass Lundberg Studio. Remember there are salts also made by Steven Lundberg and he signed his as such. Then to add to the confusion Dan Salazar works for Lundberg and his salts are signed DS Lundberg studio. I will call my go to for all things Lundberg and ask her also, and get back to you. She has told me that there is some one in the Santa Cruz area that does copy Lundberg and I will find out how he signs that work. Sarah

Does anyone know if LUNDBERG ever signed any of their pieces LUNDBERG GLASS ART -- For some reason I feel their pieces were always marked LUNDBERG STUDIOS - But then we are dealing with my brain and some of you had a slight vision into its workings at the convention -- Any help on the "printed" signature would be greatly appreciated --

Hi Donna. Nippon is Japan's name for their country. They started exporting to the US using the Nippon name in about 1890, in 1921 the US decided they had to use OUR name for their country, Japan, on anything they exported here. in 1924 they had to include the words, "Made In" in the mark, sometimes things were marked with a paper label. the color of the mark isn't really important, as far as I know, but it seems red is usually early, green in the middle years and black is later. the M in the wreath mark is Mormura brothers, now part of Noritake. Hope that makes sense.
