Hi everybody. Crazy mixed up sleep pattern. Just got up at 2pm. I drive myself crazy. Hope you all are doing well.
My salt of the day. A roller skate with shimmer in the color. I never remember what it's called. Mystic is always what comes to mind and that's wrong.
Be well everyone. Nancy D and Nancy V, I'm thinking about you.

That morning glory blue salt is a BEAUTY, Susie! I have one that is simular, but it's too hard to reach to see if it's marked( the cabinet door is on the side, and I would have to reach across "several" special salts to reach it!!) How are your Daylily's doing?

Good afternoon everyone. So nice to see some chatter on here.
Well, kids are out of school. I'm now officially lonely. Amazing how having the 3 kids here everyday for 2-3 hours makes time fun.
Susie, that salt is on my list of have to haves. Jytte has a number of them. The simplicty is its beauty. Someone else just got one tgat has blue.... vines wondering around it, I believe.
Nancy D, I'm really glad Ken is there right now. He'll make sure your jaw is taken care of. I'm sure the infection has improved but so glad he is checking in on you.
Nancy V, how you doing....Gimpy? Lololol, just pulling your leg. Lololol, sorry.... I have sick humor. But I love ya. I do hope you'Re doing better. I worry more about the anxiety as that is very stressful. One thing for sure, you are building up muscle and getting stronger everyday.
Judy, the Wavecrest Tulip..... I love melon salts. Adore them. They are beautiful pieces of art. Your Tiffany is very different, the color looks like the sun. I don't know Joe Zimmerman.... do I? Did he make salts for one of the conventions?
I guess as we have some melons showing might as well keep it going for the SALT OF THE DAY. These I had before I got around 12 melons from Mary.

Nancy V, hope the therapy is progressing well, and the panic attacks are becoming fewer!

My latest new salt, and it made me think of Debi! Isn’t morning glory a favorite of yours, so tickled to get this with the acid signature And a label; I had not seen the label before? Delvaux, from Paris

Good weekend at my daughters. I'm exhausted. I think their whole family needs psych meds. They are nuts. They got 2 more Great Danes. They have a small house with the 4 humans, 3 Great Danes and a Chihuahua. The Chihuahua thinks she's a Great Dane and the Danes think the are the size of a Chihuahua. It was an insane weekend.
Nancy V, anxiety is an amazing and startlingly force. I can very well understand it. Right now you'Re vulnerable. It is so great you have help coming in. You have great fortitude, inner strength. You will make it.
Nancy D, I love my food. I hate anything that gets in my way. I don't envy you. Will it take a long time to get fitted for teeth? I guess they want the infection gone 1st. I am so glad you are feeling better.

Thanks for your concern, Lynda. I'm going to need help from home care and also home physical therapy for a while. Also I'm surprised and a little embarrassed to be having anxiety attacks when I have to have help getting up on an upright walker and move forward or backward while an aide swings a wheeled walker with a seat behind me to sit on or to get it out of the way so I can move to my chair. I've never had panic or anxiety attacks in my life, and I hardly know how to deal with them. I know I'm not going to fall with the attendant right there holding my arm, but the fear is illogical. My pharmacy just sent me some pills my doctor prescribed, but I don't know how much they will help. What a mess.

It's funny, I go to sleep saying prayers, wake up for the Bathroom every 2 hours, go back to sleep saying prayers. I donlt say many in one sitting..... or laying, but they accumulate thru the night.    Good Lord, have mercy. Nancy D..... dayam!!!!! I would imagine you're on antibiotics. Should start to feel better 24 hours after you started them. What a mess. No fun for you. Did Dentist advise warm salt water rinses? I don't imagine you feel like eating but at least drink bone broth. Very healing. And warm tea. My prayer list keeps getting longer and longer. I keep reminding my grandchildren how important our teeth are. Lord have mercy. Good news on Ken. He's tough like you.
Nancy V, thinking of you too. I don't mind getting old but the side effects are hard to deal with. I really am glad you've got people coming in to help you. Thank God.
Not much new here. Housekeeper blew out her knee, won't be coming for 2 months. There's my tragidy. Besides the car... poor thing is still in the hospital getting fixed. Can't wait for the bill.
Well, this is a salt site so here is a salt. Here's a strange one. If I remember.... it's a lion on the bottom? My gallery doesn't let me see an enlargement while on a site.

Good morning everyone. Have a wonderful day.

For those interested in Ken’s status, he has done well recovering from his surgery and is planning to visit sometime in the next few weeks. Have not seen him since a year ago, March!

Had miserable day, yesterday. Another son was able to take me out to dentist. Bottom teeth, mostly implants, were loose and infected. Doc needed X-rays. First I was out since Don’s funeral in 2019! Horrible rainy weather with damaging wind and lightning. Lost all 2/3 of my front bottom teeth due to bone loss from a drug they gave me years ago for osteoporosis! Doc will come to house when cosmetic front teeth are ready. Not a happy camper today!

You know we, on this site have talked to each other for years. I know the salts you have, I've seen parts of your homes but things like Nancy V using a walker for years I did not know. I consider many of you very dear to me. I know this site is for salts but it has grown to be more. I love knowing more about the people I care for.

In NJ, the weather has gone down to the ‘40’s after a hot week with air conditioning. We also have torrential rain, all night and into the weekend. Very strange.

Hi and howdy. I am starting three days of no supervision. One of my kids is coming over for our now standard Friday movie night. She likes the super heroes and avengers movies like I do, so we eat and kibitz the movies and the acting. It is something fun and loving in my life......
Okay!!! I am going to movie pictures to folders today so I can post some pictures. I have been very lucky to have won some beautiful ands unusual doubles. Also want to participate in the monthly topic, although it would be simpler ones then the beautiful salts already shown.
Have a good one and hope to be back soon with pictures on both sides of the board....

I'm happy with my new addition. Can't exactly call it a salt, more of a spice, or condiment. You have to consider this would have been made before any type of shaker was invented. That has to be at least back to the 1700's.

Debi your new salt is amazing. I have seen that style show up in my faience search and have passed it by thinking the openings were for inserts. Gonna have to keep an eye open for them now that I know it is a salt.
Another busy day, hoping for a quick weekend, starting with Friday, as I have no keepers until Monday. Taxes!!! Off my plate and out of my mind. Will feel soooo good. Okay enjoy whatever gets posted and have a really great day!!

Debi, I'd vote for Delft for your new salt, but it's very hard to ID the old ones, and it would certainly seem to be very old.

You would think the cases like Jan's daughter with covid would persuade doubters to get the vaccination. My ex-son-in-law, a healthy 50 year old got covid and is still struggling with after effects, may never be completely well again.

Loving the wood salts. I have some from Nancy's son and Lisa and Yvonne's husbands, plus some newer ones. Still have not moved pictures to folders. I get to selling and then I forget to do anything else...... even my taxes are waiting for me.
I had my caregiver here yesterday and that was good as I had a scary bout, but it eased up before she left. Today I have friends over at noon for a bite to eat and a ZOOM meeting and my other caregiver until 6:00. I will be wasted my then and doze until it is time for Albert's insulin. Maybe while I am trying to stay awake I can move pictures to folders. Yep - I go plug my iPad in.

Nadia and Morgan came to help me yesterday and still here. My back is better but they have helped me with my self pity party. These 2 are such a delight.
Debi, it's wood. That's bark on the outside Nany V. . I will have to find it and get a better picture. I have a couple more wooden ones but no pictures. Will get pics of them too.

So sorry, Lynda, but stuff happens. Do get the back pain checked out. At the very least, use some heat and/or icing to sooth it.

A friend who was expert in vaseline glass, Dave Peterson, who published a couple of books on that subject, switched to doing woodwork and made that salt for me, a copy of the art glass salt shape. He sent it to me in the proper silver holder. I value it as much as if it were fancy art glass.

Morning gang..... Special and yet sad day for me. It is our anniversary, and no I don't know the years..... lol lol. That was Bob's assignment. As a matter of fact the first couple of years I could not remember if we got married on the 30th or the 21st... We were sort of reversed to most marriages where the wife has to drop hints days before to remind her husband of the upcoming event. I think we may be close to 40 years, will have to find our certificated see. Then by all logic out there, I should write it on my calendar. What a concept.... Two of my "kids" are coming over and we are having tacos, one of Bob's favorites...
Lynda, I just love you!!! I think you have got to have the most pictures of multiple salts..... this means you also have a great collection of groupings. Keeping them safe and together is a task you do well...
My sweet little elfinware says thank you. I have some unusual ones. I must get pictures for you and also some new ones of salts in holders.. So much to do, plus I have not even started on my taxes, salts are so much more fun.. Everyone have a grand day!!

Lynda, That melon salt looks like china to me. The Mount Washington salts are glass.

Nancy V, very pretty opalescent coloring.

Nancy V, it is different. Nothing on the bottom. Probably someone's copy of the real ones? The enamal is I'm in raised. I'm in love with your opalescent pedestal. My absolute favorites.

That's an odd one, Lynda. Is it marked?

Sometimes white is the best. Here's another white one. Old opalescent pedestal.

Good morning. And it is morning. This is new for me. Being on the river all day knocked me out. Went to sleep at 10pm. Goid day all the way around. That cat was my soul mate yesterday.

Hi everyone. A bit late here for me. I was out on the Pontoon all day. (Last year my daughter and I bought a huge 1994 Pontoon boat.) The Swannée River is so beautiful. It's like taking a Valium. Except now I'm dead dog tired.
I love opaque salts. My SALTS OF THE DAY.

Hi everybody. Hope you are all enjoying a beautiful day. Not much new here except....,TAXES done. We went to the OLIVE GARDEN after. That is some good food. Now just to mail my check.
What are you guys up too?
MY SALT OF THE DAY, got this from Sue Sawyer. I'm not sure it's a salt and that rim.... there was a cover or a lid of some sort. But it is pretty. She sold her salts pretty inexpensively.
That sounds wrong. Lololololol, her salts weren't expencive.
   Be well everyone.

Hi everyone. Been a rough 2 days here with no airconditioning. Finally at 12 noon, it got fixed. Not sleeping for 2 nights, lolololololol, that air kicked on and I kicked off.
Nancy D, lololololol, precious BFF. F B is showing a lot of animals with BFFs of various different specious. Sweet
Debi, the blue and white china shelves are very pleasent to look at. The presentations is soothing to look at. I love when a display makes me feel good to look at it.
Is it Susie P's birthday and anniversary? . I could have sworn I wished her that last week when she showed her red Steuben on Facebook. So... now I do it twice. Lololol, Happy annabirthday Susie. Lololol
I got a look at the Jeffery Evans catalog for the next Ayres salt sale. Mostly Lacys. The only thing I'm going to bid on is the cabrashon Mossers.

Debi, you're younger than I am!!?? I thought when I had my birthday this year I'd start feeling "old", it hasn't happened yet.
I call anything definitely made after WWII "contemporary" I guess maybe I need to come up with a better moniker for newer ones, but some are hard to tell when they were made.
