I've just been watching the neighbors dog, they put him out in the yard, as soon as they go back in the house he jumps over the fence, the old dog barks and the guy comes out and gets the jumping dog back in the yard, then goes back in the house. the dog jumps back over the fence and the scene repeats, more than once! Wonder when the guy will figure out that the dog is smarter than he is!
Do you think the dog is saying 'April fools'??
It doesn't take much to entertain us these days LOL

Jan: Yes I did see it. I belong to EAPGS. I was surprised to see the master size in blue. I guess the Heisey museum has to acknowledge they exist now. http://www.EAPGS.org is amazing. They have so much pattern glass to search and it's free. You can search by company, pattern name or motifs, and join the Facebook group too. Their EAPG database comes from the pictures posted on Facebook. The membership is for a quarterly newsletter/magazine and email access to all members.

Phil is home. I brought him home last night. Of course, no one called to tell me to come so I had to drive in the dark when I can't see. He has severe arthritis, and he will have to have the hip replaced. But they won't do any elective surgeries until at least the end of May. So that's where we stand right now. He has a walker. Right now he is only going between the bed, the bathroom, and his chair.

So sorry , Jane. I fell 3 times last year and had to have the police get me up. Twice, they took me to the hospital. The one time was when I cracked my pelvis last May. The doctor ordered therapists to come to the home and I had them for many months, no cost. Call your doctor and tell him what happened, he/she can order all kinds of in-home help. Don’t wait until he breaks something, the aides have all kinds of information and help. I know it’s a difficult time now, but there has to be help out there for you. A social worker came to me and gave me pages of doctors and aides who come to the home. Lots of love to you and Phil.

I'm going through shelves in my largest display case, cleaning the glass shelves, cleaning the salts and polishing silver.
As Don says, it's almost as much fun as a flea market or antique show. Handling each salt brings back memories of where I acquired it as well as the chance to admire each piece.

I'm staying secluded and finding books to reread on my shelves. I think we are in for a very long haul. It's difficult for people to accept that they really do need to practice social distancing.

Hi All, Hope you're not "stir crazy" by now! One thing that I've discovered is that going through boxes, from the early 90's, is ALMOST as good as going to a Flea Market or an Antique Show!! Not much found, in the way of SALTS, but MANY GOODIES that I had forgotten. Did find a couple of salts that I'm going to show when I get them photographed(again, don't hold your breath!!) By the way, all these boxes were numbered and had lists of the contents(that I keep in my dresser), but going through "numerous lists is not as much fun as going through the boxes! I think I KNOW a lot more about what these things are now, than I did then! Don

Good morning Susie P. Glad to see you.
Jane, The geese are in love with you and your corny ways. Can't wait to see you feeding them.

Hi, everyone. Hope you are all keeping your spirits up. My niece told me about a group called “518 Rainbow Hunt”. The idea is to put a rainbow in your window so those who can get out to walk can look for them and count them. Simple, but might brighten someone’s day. I told her I couldn’t do it, because I can’t get close enough to my windows with my walker. But then, I thought about it, looked at all the rainbows on Facebook and I decided to try. I printed out a rainbow and managed to get it in the window, crooked, but it is there! There are all kinds of ideas, colored shirts, colored paper chains, anything that makes a rainbow. Maybe some of our salty friends can do it. Just an idea!

It's snowing here, so no thunderstorms or rainbows today. Coming down just enough to whiten everything but melting on streets, driveways and sidewalks. It's pretty but Larry won't like it. He can't wait for spring and car show season. Although I don't know what will be going on this year. Things are being cancelled now that aren't supposed to happen until the end of April. The annual Glass Show put on by the club I used to belong to was cancelled yesterday. That was supposed to happen the end of April. Maybe they had to do it because of a deposit, but who else would schedule something now? Weird.

Well, suddenly several of the books I've been waiting for on my Kindle account have become available, so I'm reading. Yesterday I cleaned in and around my desk, eliminated a bunch of paperwork my husband had, even emptied a storage box. I've been working on eliminating some of my duplicate papers in my Genealogy files all winter, so that will be continuing. I think we're going to go out and watch the cranes this afternoon, word has it there are some Whooping cranes a few miles from town.

Lynda, I believe this is the peacock feather salt you were asking to see. It was in 2011, at Williamsburg and made by Lotton. Unfortunately it was the last convention I was able to attend. All the Commemorative salts are pictured on the Collection page that Debi has on the reference site.

Our taxes are done, too. We needed a few things this morning. If it's going to be like that, I don't want to go anywhere until this is over! Few people out, but they stand in the middle of aisles like they've suddenly developed alzheimers. We went to the farmers market. Hardly anyone was working at the stands and many were closed. The people who were working (I say that facetiously) were didn't know what to do and didn't listen. Just to get a couple of things took forever.

I should have posted the remarks below here rather than on the month's topic. Our senior facility yesterday took a further step by closing the dining room and delivering all meals to our apartments. This is to comply with the requirement of no gatherings of more than 10. I just ordered deliveries from three different stores. They can be dropped off at the front desk, no delivery men inside except for necessary medical deliveries like prescription drugs.

I hope you are all staying home and ordering things delivered. Yes, people are hoarding store items, and wearing masks and gloves isn't as silly as it may look. Unfortunately, I've read that the masks available are of no use with this virus. Gloves do make sense because the virus lives on hard surfaces. Do listen to the good sources and avoid contact with others as much as you can. Here in Texas people are being very careful. I live in a senior independent living apartment complex and we are almost completely should down--no outside visitors except for necessary services , even family, and all group activities cancelled within the facility.

We just came back from the grocery store- they're out of bananas, potatoes, & all but skim milk, besides tp and cleaning products. They said the truck driver didn't show up and there wasn't anyone to take his place! We only have Wally world and the one store. Wallmart was out of potatoes and milk. There was one couple in there that had four carts as loaded as they could get them, I commented that it looked like thy were buying for the whole town--- got a major dirty look! Oh, and they were wearing masks And gloves.

I ment to call and get one and didn't. I just got other books, which I have stared to read. Not real sure how you all figure out info from these books. H/J is pretty much in my mind, Coddington is easy to find stuff but these other books don't look so easy to find stuff. I got a McCain, guide to Am pressed glass, a Jenks and Luna, a Fostoria book, a Heisey book and Welker. Should enlighten me or totally boggLE my mind.

This one is very strange. It strated out as clear glass, blue applied, or dipped or what ever the heck. The diamonds you see are clear glass that's been etched..... maybe by acid? THEN white enamel lines applied. With all that, it is very lite and delicate. Some artist did magic.

Hello everyone. Thank you for your warm welcomes and info. I agree, it is a little beauty and in relatively good condition too. Thanks Jan. I found it on eBay and copied a couple pictures. I'm not going to add to the color pages but if we ever get to the H&J page around 2900, I'm sure it's probably one of those. I already said that it comes in clear on those H&J Project pages, and honestly, I'm still in a funk with this new laptop. Wish I'd never bought the darn thing, or got professional help from the start on transferring programs and files. Only the jpg images have transferred to this new laptop and the syncing program keeps pausing itself so I have to keep an eye on it and resume it. Driving me nuts! Crap, it paused again!

Lynda: Is that a lip inside? Maybe it had a lid.

A ton of regoree.... sigh,( not spelled right, sorry.) And base has circular line cut in. Not doing well on my discriptions.

Yes, Jane, he is chipped. I was warned about you lol! Nancy D, funny how some people just don’t like cats. I will share with you any time! Libbie is supposedly hypoallergenic...

Umm, Don? Isn’t it a rule somewhere that you have to post pics of any salts removed from a cabinet?? 🤔I’m almost sure it is...

Don, I think I saw a photo of your clock cabinet, maybe when salters visited your home. I thought it was wonderful! Since I have a cabinet upstairs, and I haven’t been able to get up there in years, I had no idea what was in that cabinet. One of my sons took photos of the drawers and I discovered salts I had long forgotten about!
Jan, love your babies. Always loved cats, but Don never liked them, so I have to admire others, particularly, Jane’s.

Just "chat"! I cleaned out a Salt Cabinet this morning, that was made from a Clock Cabinet. It has 10- 4" by 18" glass shelves, plus the wooden bottom shelf(that's less than 4", because an 8" strip light has been installed. Plus the light that was installed at the top of the cabinet) I don't know who did all this, but it was a GOOD Find, to hold salts! ANYHOW, emptying a cabinet is a GOOD way to see salts that you've forgotten you had! WOW! After we paint behind the cabinet, I MAY get some of my "surprises" photographed, before I fill it up(don't hold your breath, but I'll TRY!)

Jane, would you believe James was a stray? He showed up at my door bone thin and filthy dirty. Once I realized he had been declawed-all 4 feet!-I took him in. Unchipped, tried hard to find his people but no success. He is chipped now so don’t go getting any ideas lol! He is around 10 years old. I had an Abyssinian many years ago and love the oriental personalities. Libbie is 4, a retired mama who needed a home. I had to interview to get her!! The two turned out to be a great match.

James, the Siamese. Yes, he is cross-eyed but we don’t discuss it in front of him as he is a little sensitive about it! He is ever so helpful,as you can see here on the day I was trying to move an old dresser

Hey Lynda! I have both of those, and I remember talking to Ed Bowman about them. Makes you wonder if the mold was sold and reworked? I have seen way more of the one without the star.

Discovered something interesting. This is Coddingtons 32-2-2, UMBILICATED SAWTOOTH. The diamond is inverted. How cool is that. AND Kent has one with a top to match. It looks so very nice together. I had never seen this one with a top.
