Jane: Exactly why I don't want to switch to another company. None have good reviews and rates keep going up. Why go through all the hassle with the same results? I just got off Larry's cell phone from talking with WOW because our telephone has been out since the last time I talked to someone on Saturday. If we get kicked offline one more time and I have to call back, they will send someone out to look at all the outside lines.

Our internet has been for most of the last few days. I'm getting them out here one last time, then switching to something else if they can't solve the problem. TV going out all the time, but that at least seems to be OK now. But we keep getting booted of the internet and when the internet is out the phone is out so I can't call when we are actually offline. What a freaking' nightmare! I'm so tired of this.

P J thank you so much for showing me those. I know these arn't old or anything special but I just love them. They have captured my heart. I have to hunt for the ones packed up.

My aide was able to find the salt so I could take another photo. It is a milky green. I was sure it was a pure dark green. Maybe there is another I have in one of the cabinets, but don’t want my aides to go rummaging through them. I do think I had a different photo that is probably in the cloud now.

Thank you Debi and Cathy. I went back into my H &.J and made it ledgable. Many of you are very organized in your record keeping. Me, not so much. Since day 1 I have kept my records of what salt I have in the H & J. I draw pictures, write stuff and stick in papers. Lololololol, pretty much works for me.

Susie you come up with the best stuff, That enameled dish is stunning. Does the wire move? Maybe it's there to keep the spoon from falling in?
I think I'm finally recovered from the 4th, and the family reunion, next up, class reunion, I won't say which year this is!

Hi Susie, that # 22643 is QUITE UNIQUE! Who cares about a "little damage" on something you've never seen before. I'm wondering about the wire across the middle, could it have been an ash tray? Again, who cares, about something this nice!

New little birdies, H & J 1017 and 1018 said it is 1940 Duncan Miller but they person I bought this from said it is from a French co named Boyel???? I can't read my own writting. The glass is superior. Feels like Heisey quality. Lucious, silky.
Do you see the little green bird on the turtle's head. I have 3 others...... got to find them. Any one have any of these? There is a Rooster I don't have. I think there's a blue bird I don't have. Thanks Susie - Last night they said it was in Vegas and this morning they said it was still in So Cal - I think I was more afraid of more to come - Mackie was on my desk and we rode it through together - His eyes got so big - Now I cannot believe I calmly rode the "ride" and told him we were okay because it was a roller not a jerker -

Gonna have to get coffee and catch up on the board and personal emails - Been gone too long - Prepare yourselves as this time I am really back to stay - Acceptance and a change of mental and wishful attitude seems to be working -

Not sure why but I seem to have developed a craving for watermelon .....

Susie: My thinking is this was silver plated. Brass would have been too weak for such a large piece. The part right on top of the glass looks like solid metal. This would look absolutely gorgeous if it was the type of metal that accepted the silver restorer, but if it isn't nickel, it wouldn't take. Any type of cleaner would probably work, just be careful around the enamel.

I was curious about the base so I brightened the picture. Maybe a bit overboard but the base was really dark. Can't tell if it is brass or maybe metal that lost its silver plating. What do you think? Can't imagine something so elaborate would not have any marks. Maybe they are hidden where it's put together.

Very nice Susie. The salt could be original because those with the hole made to have holders were generally German, some French. (Check out the catalogs.) It will be interesting to see if the holder has any marks. I assume you have to do some cleaning. Picture is rather dark but it looks like the base is enameled too?

Yes, our address is changing. If we ever get this straightened out. I we gave them $200.00 to hold the apartment until August 1. Some of you may remember that many moons ago I used to do an antique and collectibles show the second Wednesday of the month - I have not been able to do the show for almost 2 years - They changed it to Saturday and I went today - The promoter gave me my old table back and so I was in the line of the top sellers - I have never been one - but they like me - lol lol - I sold one salt and bought a gadzillion pieces of jewelry and misc. other items - One salt is the one above - I cleaned it and it is even more stunning - Pairpoint - I gotta tell you - I am in pain up to my elbows and then even a little past that - But emotionally and mentally I am a happy camper - Already paid for my table next month and will take a variety of things - Today was solely salts and only silvers - My table was beautiful anyway - Okay - I go see if I can shovel another handful of pills down me and if not - then my last chocolate covered strawberry - Yea - It was soooo worth it!!!!

Janelle, Happy to see your post. Please take care of yourself and stay in touch when you can...we love & miss you!

P.J., Jim had knee replacement surgery on Monday and is doing great. In fact we are off to physical therapy right now. He says he was in more pain before the surgery than he is now and wishes he had gone for the surgery sooner. Hopefully Olen will also do well.

To all my friends that are not well or having a lot happening in your life, I wish you all health peace and love. This is not been a good year and I am dealing with a few health issues myself so I have not been on the board but I think of you all constantly. It has been a privilege to have you all in my life and I thank you. I will try and get back on here soon but in the meantime, my hugs go out to you all. Stay strong.

P J, The surgery Olen is going to have has been done for a long time and the success rate is almost 100%. Be careful girl, after he has his knees replaced, he'll be chasing you around the couch. It's a miracle surgery. Sending you both warm thoughts and love.
