You are so funny Lynda. I had forgotten also until you started talking silver. I was laughing the whole time I was writing.

Hey look at me. I am doing this from my phone. Growing up on the internet can have a few advantages. Gonna try for some Easter emoji now.

Happy Easter to the strongest group of friends I have known. Love you all dearly.🐇🐥🐣🐸. No holidays on my phone. This cannot no right. Well I found a rabbit and chicks. The frog is there because he made me smile.

   Joyful Easter to you all..

Mary, I have a silver box packed for you from 2 1/2 years ago when it got mixed up in the moving salt boxes. I watched for it when we uppacked and stored everything at my son's barn. With 10 people moving me, I did'nt find it. Then when all 10 of us moved me to my apartment, 10 days later, STILL did not come a cross it. But by George it is here..... somewhere. I still have not found my everyday silverware. Lolololololol I used plastic for a long time and finally said 'bump this' and am now using my sterling as I found that. Geessh
Have a wonderful, blessed Easter everyone.

Mary, Mr Big Boy is precious. He looks very comfortable..... like he belongs amount the salts. I don't know how you do it. You and Susie P live under a gifted salt star. Those 2 peices of art glass just leave me breathless. The Burmese, so, so pretty, unique too. The purple rim in holder, very pretty.
Nancy, I think green glass in a salt is stunning.
Was rainy here in Fl yeaserday, nice and cool. That won't last long.

Rainy day today. Youngest son came home for weekend and discovered we had a squirrel’s nest on our roof. Waiting for the animal control guy to come and take care of it. Don’t want him to kill any squirrels, though!

As soon as I took the Burmese and the hat away - he quietly with no muss or fuss got up and left the table disturbing nothing - It was like he could see no reason to stay with the ordinary silver and cobalt salts - I had removed the roses and left him standard daisies - lol

Linda I love the silver overlays - Especially if they have copious amounts of silver like yours does - Nice with the green - A bit harder to find than the mundane (you all know I don't mean that) cobalt -
Send us a picture with him brightening up the space --

Susie - I thought of you as soon as I saw it - But obviously not enough to send you a picture and see if you wanted it first -- I am such a salt hog -- Okay I admit it - I am Oinky Oinky Oink Oink

Here is the bowl in all its beauty -- Story book ended for now - But I will be back -- Art glass???

Thanks Debi - You be right was the Phoenix bird I was showing once and not a swan - I think I will call my group a bevy - as they are a bevy of beauty - and besides it is a short word heard some what often so maybe I can remember it - If not - You know where I will show up --

Off to have lunch with a bunch of other oldies but goodies - Nice to be having some good days in a row - Life is good most of the time -- Sometimes even great --

Susie: Faces on your salt...Viking with helmet or devil with horns? Either way, very neat salt!

Mary: I think you are referring to the Phoenix bird that could look a lot like a swan. Phoenix birds have some sort of upright feathers on the top of their heads but it's understandable those would not easily be made in silver as they could be bent or broken off. Look for some bump or feathers lying down on the top of the head. They also have long tail feathers. In answer to your question about what a group of swans is called...there's plenty of names but it seems like the most common one is bevy. "According to the United States Geological Center's Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center, a group of swans is called a bevy. They can also be referred to as a wedge of swans, if in flight. A male swan is called a cob, and a female swan is called a pen. Young swans are called cygnets."

Yep Susie - Somewhere on the now totally messy shelves there are more swans - So it is a gaggle of geese - but what is it for a bunch of swans? Jane has real live geese she feeds - Of course some of my swans are not swans but some mythical angry rendition I forget the name of -

There are some stunning salt and pepper sets out there Susie - Be careful or we will start seeing your new salts posted with their companion peppers and or mustards -- It is so hard to be pure of collection ---

You are right Nancy - I kept thinking it was Salem - but for some reason just would not stop there - lol And we did - we did -- Bob and I have always had some form of OLD transportation and we did chatter about poodle skirts and even older attire - You are good - you are very good - Loves ya!!

Thanks Lynda - I am trying to control myself - I want to sleep with it - I want it where I can see it at all times - I still cannot believe I did it and it is all mine - It is the most beautiful thing in the universe - well until my new great grandson is born in May and then he will have that title - at least until I babysit and have to change his diapers - then my Daum will rule again - I am so crazy

Susie - welcome back and you bring with you delightful salts - I too love the faces and your set is delightful - I have trouble sometimes not buying the silver mustard pots - Some of them more spectacular than the salts - But - well - only salts - Unless there is a really beautiful one and then maybe -- Love the classic English shape of yours -- Hope to see more of you - you have been missed -

Lynda - go clean - start with the rims and then branch out -- You can do it woman - I have faith in you -- show us your polished rims --

I have passed on salts so often and like you still pine and look for them to appear - Hope lingers on

I remember my first convention and walking into the Buy and Sell room and way back against the wall in the right hand corner was this tower of Daum salts - I just stood there like a kid at a candy store - Dolli let me hold one -OMG - I was so thrilled - Months later I was still thinking about the experience and display - and one day I asked myself - How can they say they are scarce when there seemed to be hundreds of them?? I was so naïve - At least now I know what scarce and rare means - and I HAVE my own Daum -- Okay let's see what salt I have for this morning --

That Daum is a beauty Mary! I have always liked that type of multi-colored art glass too, but saw one once with a distinctive blue strip and that's what I'm after some day. Could be just enhanced colors in a picture though and one with a strong blue doesn't actually exist. That's OK...probably couldn't afford it anyway. I WILL get a Daum some day. Just saw one of those tiny Daum pillow vases with the exact purple and pink fuschias I love. I think it was Wilfred that had the salt with that design at the 2001 convention. Should have bit the bullet back then. Instead I'm still pining for it 18 years later!

A great addition to my now over whelming silver rim collection - This one is shown in green in The OSC Plate 163 - They state their rim to put the piece at 1890 - My rim is quite worn but I feel it is also in that age bracket - I love it - The applied "drip" is clear glass and picks up the base color from the salt but the tops and the little balls clearly show white - Tres greato

Well Lynda - you get your little arsh back here - Hey I post and everyone goes away - so I just figured I owned the board and posted what I wanted - A true feeling of power -- My phone is out of juice - but tomorrow I am posting my goodies from the meeting -- One of which is a winter scene - Yep - I finally got a Daum Nancy and I got it from Wilf - and another art glass - plus a WEBB - and then there are a few of my incoming you should see -- I will be back as soon as I can take pictures --

Now watch - no one will be here tomorrow or Monday or ----- Let us all get back on this board - I do not want to just bore or offend myself -- So your assignment tomorrow (are ya listening Lynda) is to give me time for pictures to be taken and made pretty and posted and then you can come on here and tell me how well I did and it was about time and ooh and aah and share pictures of some you have similar - but not better - Oh no - You can share better on Monday - Tomorrow I get to own the board -- Oh okay you can do what you want - but it better show up on this here board -- Mother Mary is back (Screw the up ducking pain baby - I be salting) ha ha ha ha ha

Damn it all to hell Mary, There has to be something to help you decrease the pain. Is it disc loss? Arthritis? Fractures? My son-in-law just had neck surgery. He had a number of disc that deteriated. 6 week recovery but, thank you Lord. He is doing so well. Is this the surgery you were talking about? Or were they thinking of fusing? I wish I had a magic wand for you. You'Re in my heart sweet lady.

Hi Nancy D and all - I promise to always put something in the topic line that will indicate it is me - Even if it just says TIS I --
I am sorry to have been among the missing again - but the miracle loss of pain - was short lived - Long enough to get me out of the surgery though - hee hee -- So I have been adjusting once again but now knowing I have to live with the back - Hey it could give me another period of freedom also - Is okay - Just needed to get it straight in my head -

Jytte, you expressed doubt about a salt I posted last month as Danish. I sent pictures of the marks on the silver foot to Janelle, and she identified the salt as from the Netherlands. This is the salt in question.

I think I count 10, 3 in front of him,= a glass one between two china,or is the right one a box? the one to his right,a peach colored one to the far left next to the VCR a metal bucket one on the table behind him has fruit in it,one in front of the globe, maybe that one under the blue that looks like an innertube? a purple hexagon under the tiny table, a metal flat one on that table.

We did have a lot of discussion and pictures of that type of lacy with and without the handles but it was probably over a year ago and it's gone now. There's a blip about it in the 2nd national newsletter on the last page. I think the pink and blue ones are easily recognizable as the AA Import ones but the clear one is harder to tell old from new. Linda's looks like RD 19, but the repros have the grid bottoms also. I don't remember if the repros look like RD 19 or RD 27 and 28.

Mary,

So many friends praying for you and thinking of you, and when you regain your strength praying your drs. Can come up with another plan to help! The new bed sounds good; you need to be able to get some good sleep! Hugs to you!

We were down south, Mississippi and Tennessee etc. and the flooding is just unreal! These storms have caused such havoc everywhere all across the country; so much for folks to deal with!

Off to take Harley for a walk, hugs all!

Glad you are safe Linda - Nature can be so scary and destructive - Prayers to those truly affected by this last storm -

I am not going to have the surgery - Dr. said it was too intense and I was currently too weak - It would take two days to do it because there would be a side entry and a back entry and then a year for me to totally recover - I am sending you each a personal e-mail to explain the changes in my life - I just want to thank Everyone for their prayers - They have had an impact and have worked - I am grateful and once again truly Blessed -

Well Sue - other than tramps passing by - we have the board to ourselves - It is good to be Godesses and rule the Chat Board Universe --

So This is half of the silver rims I found in England - The first batch has more variety but are already crammed in on a shelf - I will see if I can get some out and show you --

I have had two days with my care giver and she is great - We are like twins in our lives and living - I can do this - Even this soon she is not a stranger in my house and I have been out to dinner and also went to the collectors show I used to sell at - Oh so many hugs and smiles - The afternoons have gone so quickly and seven comes too soon - But also I am tired by seven - Just don't want the party to end - Now to get some work done and do some catching up - I have new care giver for today to take me bed shopping - I have not been able to sleep in my bed for almost 2 weeks - Am tired of the short love seat - So off to get a bed that raises me head and or feets and then tosses me out of the bed in the morning - Also very soft mattress - So far so good and good for me physically and mentally - Crap - I may make a come back after all -

Starting next week I will only have Robin - Monday 10 - 4 and then Tuesday and Wednesday 2 - 7 - Of course if something comes up I can request additional help -- Tomorrow will tell me a lot as it is my appointment with the neurosurgeon --

Well Linda - probably should leave some space available for the hobos
