Just got this note from Judy Spell:

Dan this is to let you know Mike Vickrey class of 1963 has passed away. He had been in Indiana for his mother's funeral. I know you work with a lot of different classes besides ours so if you could pass this info on.

Lions Club Park in Clermont, Saturday, June 21, 5pm to midnight, and admission just $5.00.

It's kinda like a high school reunion for everybody from the west side of Indpls, 1950s-60s-70s. Live DJ playing our music, dance pavilion, air-conditioned restaurant.

Each school has its own section of the park, and I think more BDHS folks attend than any other school.

Bring a chair, bring food and drink. This is your chance to reunite with friends who weren't in our class or school. For Facebook members, here's a link:

And if you aren't on Facebook, here's a map of the park setup that day:

If you attend, look me up and say hi! I'll be wandering around there somewhere.

For those who might have known him. My brother, Peter Forrest Macey, 67, of Ft. Wayne, BDHS '63, died Sunday morning of complications from advanced prostate cancer. He had been seriously ill for several years and his last few months had been very hard, so, although it was sudden, the family is sad but relieved for his sake. There will not be a funeral, and may not be an Indianapolis obituary, so I thought I would post this here.

Next year- that being 2013, the WESTLAKE REUNION will be held on June 22.
same deal as the last few years- Clermont Lions club park. 5pm till midnight.
a record attendance of 552 for 2012. If you are in a class that does not have their class reunions anymore. this is a great way of organizing one.
tell everyone that you are in contact with to attend and get the word out.
no planning needed- just show up- go to the BD designated area with your supplied name tags and get reaquainted. Food available or you can bring your own food and drink. In fact a few people bring their grills and have a cook out. Dancing and DJs start at 6pm.till midnight. Westlake Tshirts and Licence plates availble. Proceeds go to the Lions Club. Any questions email johnglass@tds.net. Oh- maybe a car show- we had 15-16 just show up last year so- ??? we R checking into that. Looking for DJs also. Any old pics of the Westlake or area we all would love to see them if you can share any.
