Hi All, so sorry to hear about Pete and Harry. True legends in their own unique right, they both welcomed Joshua and I as did HMC back in the day. It was our time with them and you all that has help Joshua give him some of the skills he needed for his now RAF life. May their spirit for the great outdoors continue to guide you through many more good times.

All the best Colin.

This past week has see the loss of two past Presidents of HMC: Pete Marston and Harry Pell - both members for over 30 years, both extraordinary mountaineers, family men, and fabulous friends to all that new them and both my mates - irreplaceable. Further details of the arrangements will follow.

Sad to hear that Ray - you can always come along for the craic, either to the pub on a Thurs or even on a meet - just to add some "spice" of course!
Keep in touch.

Sad for me to say I'm unable now to walk as well as I used to. Left leg weakness causing balance prob. Recently had full spine scan, wtg. result. Also had fall due to the prob resulting in wrist fracture. Oh well! Thanks for the memories. So much miss the hills, mountains and company. :-(

Ian & I visited Pete yesterday and he was in fine fettle and looking forwards to receiving many more visitors. Moat House in Burbage is the venue for anyone that is looking to to go and see him. Today he's 93, and an inspiration to us all. Happy Birthday Pete.
