Hi derek, the dates are before my time, however, you could goggle the 'argylls and sutherland highlanders' regimental museum . They have records going back to the 1800 's. How your search goes well. Frank

Hello,
I'm trying to find any information about my uncle Ken Davies who was born in 1930 and served in the Argylls from approximately 1948 onwards. He was a piper we think he served in Korea and Aden. We have literally no concrete information about him since he left school in 1948. Please help! Email: dhilleson@gmail.com

Hi everyone was just looking at some old photos yesterday and realised that it was 48 years ago 28th July 1972 that the Bn left KIrknewton for our first tour of Northern Ireland. We were deployed to South Armagh, i was only 18 at the time and was in Delta coy 15 platoon and then 14 platoon we were deployed at that time on a 4 month tour and D coy was based in Bessbrook tech college as i remember it was the longest 4 months of my life.We lost 2 guys on that tour Davy Harper and Joe McGarry from Dcoy and i think the Bn lost 8 altogether. Each and every one is remembered and not forgotten Ne Obliviscaris
