Ryan Murphy said a couple of seasons back that the Carver would not return. That season didnt go the way he wanted it too and he got away from a lot of the original writing they do.

I know the whole Carver storyline is over, but it would be cool if Dr. Quentin Costa made a return seeking vengeance against both Sean and Christian. I think it would be an interesting plot. I mean we all know that Escobar Gallardo make a return in season 4. He was also in the first season. So, why not bring back the deranged surgeon? Anyway, just a thought.

I have been a fan of nip & tuck from the start, but i'm thinking of moving onto something else. the reason why i say that is because of all the porno scenes the network has thrown in there. i like the medical stuff, but do they really have to show off all of that flesh? give me a break!

Sean * Christian complete each other but in the sense that they couldn't be surgeons without the other by their side. Sean is a better surgeon but its because if Christian that he is. Their relationship did take a down spiral when sean discovered christian, a long time friend & brother of the family was the father of matt but they both fit their character. nip / tuck wouldnt be to me what it is today without both sean & christain. if either one would be replaced, it would be tragic.

I think Christian's and Seans relationship is one of the most genuine I've witnessed in TV and film...they belong together not only because of their jobs but because they compliment each other... C is the alpha male with out the family, S is the gentleman with family (one of the funniest things was seeing Sean take Kimber in a Christian esque way!), but both want to be each other...it's a mutual admiration....

I accepted their dynamics with out much thought.
I really didn't think too much at first as to how this show as a piece of culture. The show is genius in shaping our culture into something we've never seen

thank you for the reply, lol i am writing a 10 page paper on the topic applying the theory of hegemony. I love the show, been watching since season one, but i missed some of the 4th cause school has been a bit more intense.
back to what i was saying, I am proving that the show places this topic to it's viwers slowly and also in their faces, but all in all we accept Christian and Seans relationship with out too much thought as to how it goes against our cultures main belief in what is heterosexual.

I think the blog world is a great source for my paper, lol.

Thanks for the comment. I think Sean and Christian will always be closer to each other rather than anyone else that happens to get in their lives. That's their constant struggle. Things get very rocky when someone is between them and there's a force that brings them back together again. They've been able to overcome just about anything and you've seen moments where even they want to get away from each other (i.e. Sean wanting to leave or Christian wanting to be independent) but they always end up happiest when they get back together. That's what made the finale that more meaningful as again, it was Christian going to Sean... knowing that the two would be happier that way. Christian knew that he couldnt just stay in Miami and let Sean run off alone.

I really love their relationship and the homophobic topic was definitely answered this season.

I really want to know your opinion on the heterosexual love story b/ Christian and Sean. It is like they are between hetero and homo. Christian said that Sean is, well, the only person he's really let in and loves. That the dream was just struggles inside him because he's always been close to people physically, not so much emotionally.

also, Did you notice the relationship dynamics in season one and two? I think as a viewer i accepted their dynamics before i even knew i did.

This is agony! I am forcing myself to NOT watch this seasons episodes until it is over and released to video. I can totally get the full effect by watching back to back episodes. I am hardly interested in any shows, but when my daughter brought home the first season on dvd I was hooked. I called in sick to work to sit home and watch! Anyhow, I think the cast and ideas are amazing and look forward to all the new storylines.

I'm still a little in shock by what James did to Reefer and what the heck will happen in the last two episodes...

I watch every episode, usuall twice the week they come out - would like to contribute posts if the offer still exists
