i'm told that i'm now "deem desirable" to document my unscheduled leaves. my supervisor insists that there is no list of "deem desirable" employees exists.
how do i know i'm not being singled out? also, i was told that if i don't come in on super bowl sunday i will face disciplinary actions. i called off last 2 super bowls.

Won more holiday pay grievances than you've ever seen BTW.

Didn't say they prevailed. Just that they did it to show who was boss. New bosses felt they had to do it.

From ELM 434.421 : "...To receive holiday leave pay, employees must be in a pay status either the last scheduled hour before or the first scheduled hour after the holiday or designated holiday...". This has been in the book for more than 30yrs, so the uninformed can't claim it's new.

Also, it's a matter of TACS, so management doesn't have any option of being "too lazy".

Get yourself informed or refrain from babbling nonsense.

Nay, Yea and Nay.
You don't get Holiday pay only if you're not in pay status before and after the holiday. Sick leave is considered paid leave.
Don't listen to uninformed fake stewards.

/m6861 Stewards don't report to mgt or you but to their union officers so let them know of your concerns.

Check with union about use of 204-Bs since there are supposedly some form of restrictions lately.

Not LWOP but denial of holiday pay. See 11.6.c. Mgt usually's too lazy to do it but they have the right.

Beware of imitators.

x-stew or postalvet my question is are union stewards suppose to be allowed to sit in union office all day when they are mandated for holiday? Also, union president says management is allowed 204b's due to the fact that they are short handed. Does this sound right to u all? Another question, if a person does not show up for a holiday when they are mandated is management allowed to place them with lwop? Thank you for any information or where I can find the info.

Gotta start using more quote marks to show sarcasm. I was all over these boards 24/7 against that regressive APWU contract. They flat-out lied when they said that maybe OPM would treat NTFT as full-time. But I knew PTRs who'd retired and knew they were treated as part-time so NTFT would be too. Shame on them.

/m6853 Don't know who's who and it don't matter how many people are using fake names. What I'd like is no one coming here and trying to get people to follow their bad incorrect advice just to create trouble or in an effort to drum up business.
