I have looked on that list. Dr Argires is another Neurosurgeon in the same practice as my Neuro. Dr. so that wouldn't work... I am sorry about my previous posts, I am trying to keep my composure and you're right I should be listening to and accepting this advice. So I am going to. I agree that my having to pay for what he should've out into his report already is shitty but I'm stuck and can't really do much about it.... How can he bill OWCP for this? I can call his office and talk to them if I know how he can do it....

Owcp classroom also has a list of doctors that accept OWCP claimants. There's a doctor in PA.

Where do you get the $50 figure anyway?

DWeaver-
I never said you should pay anything. YOU said you were paying it. I don't think you need it. You might want to listen to the free suggestions. A doctor who takes workers comp shouldn't charge you anything. It might even be ethically and legally wrong. The doctor can bill OWCP for the report.

I understand how you feel.I don't believe they should be able to put your job up for bid if you haven't reached maximum medical improvement (MMI). You may want to speak to the local business agent. You can get his contact info on the APWU website. Anyone on here know the regs on taking away someone's bid job when they've been injured and have a claim in process?

Donna said that it is because they NEED someone there in that position. Whatever, I'm going to try for a small post office around my area and bid maybe. Dont know I just have to do one day at a time for now or else I'm going to lose it....

Really Snowed,
You think a $50.00 reimbursement while taking a $950.00 hit is worth it? I am sorry but I don't know what to say to that one..... considering I have no money, cannot work and am soon going to be in the looney bin....where am I to turn? My family is by no means able to afford to give me any money to help- if only life were so kind.... that there was somewhere to turn. NOPE, lucky me and I have to keep fighting OWCP, and people wonder why postal employees turn "postal" really you could think that OBVIOUS! I'm just going to prepare it myself, take it to the Dr, tell him copy it if he wants to, or not and hope for the best. Trust me when I tell you I am laughing already its a F'ing joke the OWCP and its ability to take away any quality of life we try to protect with "insurances" against shit happening. Like I said I would love to dig a hole and just die there...

I believe there are sample medical reports at the owcp classroom. The nalc website has great info. Better than apwu, but you can find things to help on there also.

This process is extremely stressful but try to hang in.

You can Google ecab. Look for cases that were won and why. Check out the medical reports for the type of language used and the drs that did them. At the top you'll see the names of the lawyers and/ or advocates. You'll notice the majority of cases are postal service.

How long since you've worked your bid? Is it just your job or are they abolishing a bunch of assignments?

Dweaver - owcp only needs a 51% medical rationale by your doctor. He needs to use words as he has "reasonable medical certainty" that work related injury contributed in any way to your disabling condition and use the words such as: caused, contributed, accelerated, precipitated or aggravated a pre-existing condition or caused or new condition. He needs to state the work duties that caused or aggravated or contributed to your disabling condition. He needs to state the job mechanics [body parts which you use to do your job] and mechanics of what the job mechanics did to you [parts of body affected-disabling condition]. Look up the bio-mechanics of neck injury, back injury...

I don't know, at this point, how to even know what to look for to search Ecab decisions...

It wouldn't even be worth the $50.00 I'd get reimbursed, for the medical narrative...

Also the word "believe". Is not a good word to use by a doctor. Better: "In my reasoned medical opinion, Mrs Weavers medical conditions were aggravated by her job duties on..."

Have you asked Donna if she knows a doctor that can help?
