/m5259 why do you keep saying 'functions"?

carriers are function 2

you are posting operations numbers.

management can put you on what ever operation they want.

what management can not do is change your clock rings to not pay you correctly.

now if management is changing the operation YOU clock on to it will show a paper trail in tacs. you can ask for the employee everything report.

but again management can put you on what ever operation they want.

I do not see a grievance, but this might be something to contact the OIG about.

I am looking for advice for a grievance and I am putting together . The grievance is about a postmaster going into TACS and changing the functions on carriers. This is being done to carriers who are getting back after 7pm. Example is just before 7 the postmaster changes their function from 722 to collections or parcel post. I am reaching out to see if anyone has had a situation like this before and if anyone has a arbitration decision on this .

My suspicions came true about the retroactive pay raises and opm notification of those recently retired for high 3.

The most recent clerk contract had retroactive raises and they in fact received checks reflecting that raise from hours worked, both regular and overtime. Granted clerks and carriers are like apples and oranges are far as contracts go these days but theirs show USPS still agrees to retroactive raises. After all the years one gets cautious before walking out the door and that hindsight crap is exactly that. Do not want to find out I should have waited another week or month to reap all I have worked for.

Beau57 /m5252 - if you have 40+ years in you should know it has been a long time since we got retroactive pay raises. So it will be IMHO unlikely you will get a retro check, and I admit I don't know that if we did that they would recalculate your high 3. I would guess "no."

Retiring soon with 40+ and was curious how a new contract might affect a retiree retroactively. I realize if I retire now that any dollars owed me from hours worked from a retroactive pay raise will get to me. But my question is will the USPS communicate a new high three to OPM from those same raises (assuming there is one) after I am already retired or will any changes be forfeited due to already being in a retirement status. We are approaching a year without a "new" contract and an increase could impact the high three. Heard rumors a new contract was on the horizon, but nothing confirmed at least for this old timer.

As long as we are discussing the OPM, let's let the people look at our national budget and see what goes where. It is our money after all and it would be nice, Donald, if you threw in a couple billion of yours or maybe you have if you let us look at your tax return like every other President.

Office of Personnel Management is like the HR for all federal employees or annuitants. Their phone is always busy so you need to start calling them early.

We work for PO or USPS as they now call it and after you retire, we are then annuitants of OPM.
