The cat’s location is 823 Dobson. Is that near lot 18?

No cat there now but it is likely out on its evening walk about

Hello Jill, thank you for writing. It could be. The cat has a pretty feathery tail

I am checking with the person who befriended the cat today, taking food and water to the cat’s location earlier today, to see what we can arrange. I will be back in touch once I learn what is possible

Beautiful grey and white, loving cat needs a new home. A south Evanston family is moving and cannot take their cat to their new home. Sadly, the cat is living outside now.

If you are looking to add to your family with a sweet cat, please post a response here so we can arrange a time for you to meet this lovely soul.

Jeri parking is on the street or you can park on the side streets. Nothing is special for this meeting. There is no valet on Wednesdays.

Over the years everyone has been respectful of the magnificent community/neighborhood public art mural in Clyde Brummel park.

Someone has vandalized Bob Marley. There is a large neon green circle over his mouth.

If you know who did this, there’s a $100 reward for information That will allow the city to communicate with that person to let them know the seriousness of their action. You may contact me at Annrainey8@Gmail

So disappointed that our fire station is always the one on the chopping block. Eliminating it would certainly slow response time and that is never good.

As someone who almost lost her entire home to a fire as a kid, those minutes mean so much. Our volunteer fire department headed to the wrong house at first (thinking that my uncle’s house was burning), using valuable minutes. Our second story was gutted and our tin roof was the only thing that saved the house from being a total loss.

This is no small consideration. And won’t our homeowners’ and renters’ insurance rates increase as well? Why should this part of town be the ones to bear this safety and financial cost?

Getting ready to post a budget meeting notice for next Wednesday at the peckish pig, 6 o’clock. I will fight closing fire station 4. I need your help. That’s our fire station.

Please email your list of neighbors to be at that meeting. City manager and other Aldermen must hear from those who are served by that station. Thank you.

Ann, I am very concerned that the city is considering closing Fire station #4. Please vote no! South west Evanston will have no protection when a quick response is needed!!!
8th warders please tell all your neighbors to speak up about this!
This is not going to be voted on publicly and I am concerned a fire station that protects our residents will get closed “under the radar”.
Ann please can you fill in the details about this possible closure? I have a friend who is a evanston fireman and he alerted me to this but I don’t know why the city thinks closing this station is at all a good idea. Thank you!!

This puppy was found on Washington Street and Ridge Avenue in Evanston on Wednesday morning. She's approximately 14 weeks old with no microchip. She is sweet, but scared. If you know who she belongs to, please contact Bark Bark Club at 773-989-8807.
