H. Klinton vs. Obama. How you think who will win elections in Unated States of America?

Vicky, hey,
I seem to have startled your narrative, which I apologize for.
ok, I'll be flying BA in July. If you're onboard should I introduce myself or studiously ignore you? I don't know the etiquette for these modern manners.
Anyway, you'll have handcuffs! Kidding!Only kidding!

Cheers

Hi, Vicky,
I hope you don't mind that I'm posting. You and Paul make a lovely couple, and you certainly transformed your backyard.I grow fruit trees and vegetables. And there's no greater pleasure than eating home grown fruit and veg.
I wish you both well with your garden and life together.

How was your trip to Islamabad?

best wishes
susan

It certainly looks like Paul did all the work, but who am I to argue?

Vicky, g'day. Nope, I have no intention of telling anyone about your site, and it's a very worthwhile read so I wouldn't want to see it end. I told you how I stumbled across it, someone a lot more computer savvy than I might be able to suggest ways in which you could disguise it in the great cyber-wilderness. ie. i searched for BA on google. Give your employer, your colleagues noms de plume. This should offer some cover with respect to search engines and I think it would free your imagination, which would be great.
Only 15,000? well, only another 14,999 to seek out. I should have given her my details before leaving but in the hurly burly of disembarking...

Stay well, and keep writing. I can't promise not to keep reading your blog because I'm hooked. Well, I can promise but I'd be lying.
c'est la vie:-)
cheers

Hi Susan. 15,000 cabin crew working for BA but amazingly I know Suvi - think she is half Finn but grew up in England - yes a humouress girl I had dinner with her in Bombay last year! She's nice. If I bump into her I'll let her know about your message. This board is active and not exactly private but usually just people I know write on it - you are only my third stranger I think. I'd appreciate it if my employers never got to know about my blog though, so no links or mass publicity please. Thanks. And thanks for your kind remarks about my blog. Very head-swelling! Best wishes, Vicky.

Hello, again,

Is this an active board or have I stumbled upon a private board I shouldn't be in?
Please let me know and I'll stay away.

Your interest in books is something we have in common. If you haven't already read them, I'd suggest:
Louis de Bernières, Corelli's Mandolin; Jaroslev Hasek, The Good Soldier Svejk; Ha Jin, Ocean of Words; V. S. Naipaul, A Bend in the River and Among the Believers; Michael Ondaatje, The English Patient; Boris Pasternak, Doctor Zhivago; Erich Maria Remarque, All Quiet on the Western Front; Salman Rushdie, Midnight's Children; Henryk Sienkiewicz, On the Field of Glory; Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace; Stephan Zeromski, The Faithful River.
Andrea Levy "A Small Island" and "The Conspirators" by Bernstein.

Anything by Carol Shields is brilliant. Especially her "Collected Short Stories".

anyway, more coffee,
cheers

Vicky, I came across your journal by accident, and what a fine accident it is!
You're a very natural tour guide, your impressions of cities interesting, but your strength is in the passages where you combine history with observation and your own opinions.
I hope you publish these 'travels' one day, and with some spit and polish i know a few publishers who'd love to see a manuscript from you.
I am by nature verbose, so forgive me for this lengthy post. I flew BA from Singapore to Melbourne in January 2005, and I was delighted to meet a flight attendant named Suvi (Google search is extraordinary. I typed in Suvi because I didn't know where her unique name hailed from and I got a link to your site. Praise accidental technologies)
Anyway, Suvi has a delightful sharp wit and she ain't afraid to use it. Bless her soul. I am one of those red-eyed, sleep deprived, and delirious travellers who can never sleep on planes, and she made the journey enjoyable for me. And her generous cups of coffee.

I did say I go on...anyway, if Suvi is around, or you're in contact with her, please give her my e-mail addy, and should she wish to, i'd be delighted to buy her a coffee and some Tiramisu next time she's in my neck of the body global.

Cabin crews do an excellent job of feeding and watering the zombies/passengers, but I ask myself: "Who feeds and waters the cabin crews?"

Hope to read more of your entries. Best to you and Suvi and your BA family.

Cheers
