Hey John, It's great to see you back again!
Where have you been all this time? I thought you'd abandoned us, and were not coming back!
However, I did sort of know you were still around because I've got the link to your Yahoo! B/case.
I also added you to my Yahoo! IM I hope you don't mind, but I noticed the Yahoo! IM link for you, on your website page.
That's great, I bet you're proud/happy with that?
A friend of mine gave me the following URL/Link to a Website that apparently offers some really good info, programs, etc. in relation to the wmv. support setup you mentioned below, for websites, etc. And I've pasted it below for you if you are interested, or for anyone else on the board too.
http://www.youtube.com/index
Also, another great program I've only just recently come across, is a freeshare program from audacity.com and it allows me to upload any of my audio files, etc. i.e. If someone wanted to hear the record that I have got of Doris Day singing "I'll See You In My Dreams" it would only take me a couple of minutes to do it for that person to be able to hear it.
It's one of the greatest programs I've come across, and so simple to use too!
Their website URL/Link is;
http://www.audacity.com
Did you get the chance to read the message that I posted here, about me thanking you for uploading those 2 songs to your b/case, on my birthday and my Mum's first year Memorial?
Where you said you had some of the words wrong too, do you mean in the one you recorded (that was/is in your Yahoo! B/case)?
I think Yahoo! don't mind ppl linking to the person's main b/case folders link, it's just if it's then linked to a sub folder or something, that's what I've found anyway.
Btw, I didn't notice any home videos of you singing and playing, "I'll See You In My Dreams" on your website as yet. Do you have any?
I love that and also the song, "Goodbye".
Anyway, thank you very much for that, let me know how you go with all that other stuff above, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Hey there, wow I didn't realize there's so much buzz about that song. I had some of the words wrong too. Although it sometimes can be achieved, Yahoo doesn't support linking to briefcase files... I've put them on my website now, with home videos in real format at www.johnbarlos.com. I'm working on getting .wmv support setup. Even though the URL Link broke up, it still goes to the correct folder, and that's my 'MUSIC' folder. Well, it did when I clicked on it anyway!:)

Hi Claude, Me again!
You can also try the following link (if it works ok!) It's to a key transposing gif that a friend of mine sent to me, and perhaps if you actually look at it, that might help you to better understand it!? http://au.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/scasos1/l....yahoo.com/&.view=l If you do try the link and it doesn't work, could you please let me know?
Thanks,

Hi Claude, Thank you for that! I think it's a pretty cool site myself, even though it has been very quiet here for quite some time now!
I take it that you don't know very much about how to transpose chords, etc.!? (Music)
To change it from it's current key, which is in F, to a G for instance, all need be done is to go up one whole tone. i.e. instead of playing an F, play a G Then as in the intro of the song (below) Play a G6 instead of an F6 a G7M, G6 (4x) etc. Does that make sense?
To change it to a C from an F, it would need to be taken up 4 (whole) tones; i.e. instead of playing an F, play a C Then a C6, C7M, C6 (4x) etc.
Then when it changes, such as, where it changes to the D7, just go up 5 whole tones again to a B7.
Do you know what I mean?
Anyway, this is the original;
"I'LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS"
Intro: F F6 F7M F6 (4 times) F F6 F7M F6 Lonely days are long D7 D D9 D Twilight sings a song G7 Bbm6 C All the happiness that used to be F F6 F7M F E7 Soon my eyes will close Am Soon I'll find repose C Bb Dm G7 C And in dreams you're always near to me C C7 C7 Bb Bbm6 I'll see you in my dreams Bbm6 F A F6 Hold you in my dreams D7 Someone took you out of my arms G7 C7 Still I feel the thrill of your charms Bb Bbm6 Lips that once were mine Bbm6
F A F6 Tender eyes that shine A D7 D7/9 A Dm F7 They will light my way tonight Bb Bbm6 C F I'll see you in my dreams
Orchestral Bridge *(sim chords to chorus)* (Bb etc.) Lips that once were mine
Tender eyes that shine
They will light my way tonight
I'll see you in my dreams
They will light my lonely way tonight
I'll see you in my dreams"
> >
I hope this helps some!?
Let us know how you get on, ok?

I'm happy to hear that you got the chords to work out ok.
If you would like to try the link out again, you can either; click on the following link, or, copy and paste the URL/Link Website address into your browser's location bar!?
http://scasos1.tripod.com/id5.html
**NOTE: When you get to the page, scroll down to the bottom of that page, and click on where it says,
"SPECIAL LINKS"
and/or
I hope it works ok! If not, I believe there must be something happening with the board here itself, and they aren't allowing ppl to click on the links anymore for some reason!?
When I click on a link, it sends me to a page from the Quick Topic Message Board, telling me, that it's because I've got a link to, or, on their page, something like that, I don't know!?
I didn't have any problems with this before!!! s1 ***

Hi Bluey, Re the links, I can't get through to any of them either, which is a shame, because John's version (plus some of the other stuff he's done) is really good IMO.
Anyway, I've uploaded Chet Atkins version of the song to the following URL/Link: (Hopefully it will work)
http://au.f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/sca...lan&.src=bc&.view=l Re the chords, they are the same for guitar (as they are for the piano/keyboard, etc. too) as the ones that were provided here on this board, for the Uke, as follows;

Hi, I'm sorry about that, I don't know what happened there, I think the link was to the actual song, "I'll See You In My Dreams"
Anyway, the following link is to the actual files/folders (hopefully) where all of John's Music (and some photos too) are:
http://f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/barlos...riefcase.yahoo.com/
If that fails, try this link:
http://f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/barlos@sbcglobal.net
The song is in the Folder, named, "workinprogress" and the actual folder name, where the song is, is titled, "John Barlos - CU In My Dreams"
If anyone would like to hear a good guitar version of this song, click on the following link, and it will take you to my files, where my young cousin is actually singing the song, but the backing music was taken from 'Chet Atkins' version, and I can't remember the other Guy's name now who also plays in the song, (they've got an album together, with this song on it) but I will get back to you on that.
The Guitar Lead break in the song, is absolutely fantastic IMO!
Anyway, this is the link:
http://au.f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/scasos1
The file is titled; "IllSeeUinMyDreamsBKell"
Good luck with it all, and let me know how you get on!?
