Last week I helped judge a mock trial competition for high-school students, and used your prosecutor as a How Not To Do It example.

And most prosecutors seem to quickly develop absolute confidence that every defendant in every case is absolutely guilty.

Unfortunately, many prosecutors pick up the attitude of the police officers with whom they work: the accused are scum, and even if they didn't do the crime with which they are charged, they probably did SOMETHING ELSE for which they haven't yet been punished, so it all works out.
