I am just curios why our resident jar head did not wish his beloved corps a happy birthday yesterday. I have never known one who did recognize Nov. 10th.

Eddie, I asked questions for a living. I learned to ask them in such a way that yes or no would suffice. Then follow up questions could be asked to clarify the reason for the yes or no answer. It kept things simple and moving forward. I had to point out to you that there is no such thing as a "real vet." You are or you are not. Simple.

82, I'm not confused at all since I myself am a honorably discharged vet from the USAF. I didnt think what I wrote was so confusing to you.

For Eddie's edification and anyone else who may be confused.

Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations defines a veteran as “a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.”
