LaunchBar is unspeakably good.

Downloaded, Installed, used it once, paid for it, love it.

Now I'm hoping (and hassling) them to add the type of functionality of Dave's Quick Search Toolbar. (The only thing that is pleasurable on the Windoze box I'm forced to abuse at work).

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=launchbar

http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&...&q=Dave%27s+Toolbar

(Sure I could give the link but don't you want context?)

Now the code for Dave's Toolbar is all open source (it is just HTML POST's so it should be easy to develop a dock or hidden app for this. But I don't have the cocoa skills for that yet.

Someone may like to post LaunchBar to the front page.

This may help ease the transition:

It's a dockling that may bring some of the functionality to os X. I for one use the hide others command, it keeps minimized windows from cluttering up the dock, and is supported by all apps.

Another usablility enhanser: Another tool that I'm sure you will love is called LaunchBar (also at vt)
