I think both Internet and sneakernet are viable approaches for high bandwidth data. Ultimately, the Internet will win, of course, but moving around media works well now.

MP3's are cool, but movies are clearly next. MPEG-4 can get a perfectly viewable movie on a CD, which is about $.20 worth of media. You can also imagine a hybrid between an iPod and one of those portable LCD players, perfectly suited to making this data even more mobile. With FireWire, it's, what? 5 minutes to move a movie across? That's pretty compelling.
