Arizona is sort of wacky too...they don't do DST, except for the Navajo reservation, which does. (my grandpa, who lived in AZ for many years, said that the Hopi only went w/out DST because they hated the Navajo more than the white people.)

I'd go with DST all year round for more light in the evening too. after all, it's gonna be dark in the morning in Jan. regardless (in Washington state), might as well get some daylight past 3 pm.
