Appreciate your taking note our our documentary.

As Greg wrote, our movie is aimed at the educational and library market where the typical video costs around $300.

If, as an individual you understandably, don't want to spend $50.00 please ask your local library to order a copy for you. That's why they are there. This is a video about the cultural commons of which libraries are (once were and should again be) the center.

You can now stream it (up to 300kpbs) via our web site. There is no charge, although we do ask for a donation.

For the institutional video and DVD market, this price is actually very low. Why not ask your local or college library to buy a copy? Then you can share it with your whole community. Or split the price with some friends, share it, and have some screenings.
Meanwhile, go to the willfulinfringement.com website and stream clips of the documentary for free.
We want people to see this. Thanks for your interest, everybody!

That was an inadvertently funny post- you post about copyright infringement and then try to hawk a product for $50. That's a big reason people violate copyright laws- because the pricing structure for media is so out of whack with what many people can or should spend on music and videos- not to mention the price fixing scandals of the last couple years.

$50 US? Nearly A$100? How many discs in this boxed set?

Umm...isn't the whole point of the video to poke fun at/criticized the idiocy that is copyright?

Okay, then 10 of us chip in $5 a piece, buy the DVD, convert it to DiVX and then post it to Kazaa.

Problem solved.

(If Jed and Greg objects, they would be free to send a cease-and-desist letter which might make an interesting second documentary).

Yeah, $25 would be in instant purchase, but $50 is a wait-and-probably-never-buy. Now I have to wait for the $3 Malaysian VCD street version to come out!

Surely something I want to watch, but I can't recoup Jed's expenses for him at that high of a percentage, sorry dude. Maybe if you did the whole "price what the market can bear" thing so a bunch of people could actually buy it?

Ugh.. (hits hand on forehead)
