I am curious how they handle the multiple power requirments
of different devices charging at once. With a toothbrush,
I bet the charger could simply be a pulsing electomagnet (not
good near electronics, I would expect) or work like a
transformer, in which current is induced (right word?) in
a wire next to another wire that has an A/C current. Perhaps
the density of wiring in the splashmodule for a device
controls how much power it gets? But wouldn't that induce
charge elsewhere in the device, too?

I think my Sonicare toothbrush must charge in a similar way, with no electrical contacts, just plastic touching plastic.

there's another company doing the same thing that recently received its first round of funding and claims to have multiple patents in the space (a brief review of the uspto didn't show any issued patents or published applications assigned to the company). bill maggs, former cto of palm, is one of the founders:
