I was talking yesterday with a very un-piratish friend of mine, the complete opposite of a Haxor, this conservative Mormon dental student. Someone gave him a couple of bootleg divx's of Shrek and something else. He watched them, then ended up buying Shrek because they liked it so much.

There *has* to be research out there about the economics of mix tapes and their effect on record purchases. Stuff from the pre-90's,back when people used...what were they called...cassettes.
