Really? Sounds suspiciously like the old "Coating the edges of a compact disc with a green marking pen will noticeably improve its sound quality" urban myth.

i just heard that rumor about Celine Deon CDs. Breaking the disc in half also makes her CD sound better. i've tested the technique on Britney Spears and N'Sync CDs as well with great success.

It's not the edges - it's the side with the data. Cover it up and the session is no more. I didn't realize you could do that to a multi-sesison CD.
