Maybe making it so easy to webbify something will mean that
the hardware makers will have time to put some security
features in these things. Probably not though.

I read last year of a "copier" that combined a scanner and a
laser printer, with a sun with a well known default password,
hook up an ethernet cable (conviently located in case you
wanted this to be your printer, too) and you could look at
images of everything being copied.

These aren't going to be used in such devices, obviously, but
making things networked means that previous pie-in-the-sky
security problems can become real.
