It's become a big problem for forum owners to protect them from spam.
Automated programs are sending their ads in huge quantities today.

We're small community of coders, upgrading forum's source code to prevent spam-programs to post ads at your forums.

Our technique is probably one of the best. There's no need in such ugly methods as 'capcha' or 'secret question'.
For average user there would not be any visible effects. No need to make e-mail activation (that usually makes number of successful registrations less), no even need to make your users register at forums to post messages.

I don't understand the asymmetry here. SWAT team can't get a clear shot at the nutjub; he keeps shooting at them. That's the architect's fault? Wouldn't the same lack of clear sight-lines help the SWAT team sneak up on him?

Associated Press on how the Lewis building coped with snow and ice.

just to be nit picky... between western and university, there's a reserve.
and I liked it better as a frisbee field too. or rope pull field. or a nice place to lie about.
they had to close all the sidewalks around that place this past winter I heard, due to roof vs. snow crashing down.... gehry's office: "this winter's weather was very unusual" .... which begs the question.... ever been to Cleveland?
gutters, ok. but clear gun path? whatever.

I don't see why "clear sight-lines for target takedown" are suddenly a building requirement because of one wacko shooter. Now it's Gehry's fault some nutjob has access to guns?

Hmmm. I think "no guns" might've been a better requirement. I'd like to read about the "Tower Long-distance knife thrower." That would be cool. Maybe raising the skill level on random nutjob killings at school would be cool.

The shooter was someone I knew. When I was working in the Smith Computer Lab, he would frequently be borderline verbally abusive to the staff. He would take over clusters of macs and spread out his stuff so that others could not get to the computers. He was also banned from other labs on campus for his behavior. He blamed the erasure of all his files on a local ISP account on another lab admin and took them to court over it. Time after time, they ruled against him, I am pretty sure he was going after that admin when he started shooting.
also I remember when that building was a frisbee field where I used to play. bastards ruined a perfectly good field.

Note to Evil Villains, Pitiless Megacorporations: Have Frank Gehry design your secret headquarters.

A common urban legend frequently voiced on Alt.Folklore.College is that X dorm was designed by a prison designer or that Y administration building is designed to be riot proof. Personally, I like college buildings that are easily navigable.
